Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets -
Chapter 149 - 148: Can’t do without you!
Chapter 149: Chapter 148: Can’t do without you!
The second day, Joanna was happily sent to the university by Sean Knight, holding her waist.
Sean still felt a bit unsatisfied, as if he thought the totem pillar was sold at a loss.
Of course, this was just a fleeting thought, and then he drove to the Seven Axes Pub.
Mr. John got straight to the point:
"Give me a copy of the treasure information you brought back from Arkansas. There are customers who want to buy some collections from you."
Sean didn’t plan to sell those things right away, but since someone came to him, there was no need to hide them.
He casually took a kneeling gold human figurine the size of a palm from his pocket and put it on the counter.
"Hmm, it’s indeed very delicate, not like something ordinary people would use." John picked up the figurine and examined it carefully, then said with some dissatisfaction:
"With such a delicate thing, you just casually put it in your pocket, aren’t you afraid it will wear out?"
As he said this, he bent down to look under the counter for a moment, found a wooden box, opened it, wrapped the gold figurine in a piece of velvet cloth, put it in, closed the lid, and then put it away with satisfaction.
In the bar, a few old alcoholics were already there early, and when they saw Sean and John finish talking about business, they greeted:
"Hey, Sean! I heard you found a Native American treasure? Come tell us what happened!"
"Yeah! Is that treasure cursed like a mummy?"
"Do those things have any magical powers? I’ve heard Native American stuff has a mysterious influence..."
Sean went over and laughed:
"It’s actually not as magical as you think. Treasure hunters just find clues, determine the range, and then search and excavate bit by bit. It’s quite boring."
"Oh! Sean! You ruined my beautiful imagination of being a treasure hunter, and you must compensate me!"
An old alcoholic’s exaggerated expression made everyone laugh.
"Alright, I’ll compensate you," Sean laughed along, "I didn’t know your old body hides a young soul. To make up for your loss, I will cover everyone’s drink bill tonight!"
"Oh! Sean, you’re such a generous young man! If my daughter weren’t married, I’d definitely persuade her to marry you!"
"Go away! Sean wouldn’t even look at your daughter with a waist as thick as a water bucket!"
"Is it time to talk about daughters? Sean said he’s treating us! I must drink a lot! It’s not easy to get this chance...
John, did you hear it? Sean is treating us! Hurry up and bring us five bottles of beer!"
Though they knew Sean was treating, no one ordered expensive drinks.
The old alcoholics also knew their limits.
After chatting with these old alcoholics for a while, Sean left for the Police Station.
Paul was surprised to see Sean come in.
"The office is nice." Sean looked around, "Very spacious!"
"Yes." Paul sighed, "I didn’t expect to be working here either. By the way, I heard you went treasure hunting. How was the harvest? Did anything happen?"
"Nothing. I’m so amazing, what could happen?" Sean jokingly flexed his muscles.
"By the way, I have something for you." Sean took a gold belt buckle out of his pocket and put it on Paul’s table, "I found this during my trip, and I thought it was pretty good, so I’m giving it to you."
"No, no, it’s too valuable." Paul instinctively refused when he saw it was gold.
Sean laughed and said:
"Mr. John has one too. This time I got dozens of things like this, it’s not rare."
Paul picked it up and looked at it. The relief on the buckle was an unknown beast that looked ferocious. He thought there was nothing much to it and accepted it since Sean said so.
After leaving the Police Station, Sean strolled over to the Freight Yard.
"Bosuns, you’re here?" Jason was surprised to see Sean.
He didn’t expect Sean to come.
"Is the auction over?" Sean was surprised to see that the auction site had several containers lined up, all empty except one in front of which someone was still packing.
"It’s over." Jason immediately called someone to bring the account book, "The highest auction price is 31,000 US dollars, and the lowest is 8,900 US dollars."
An average of less than 1,000 dollars bought containers can be auctioned at such high prices, due to the reputation on one hand, and selection on the other.
Every batch of containers, at least one to two of them have very nice things inside, which treasure hunters can see.
This has always been Sean’s strategy.
Jason saw Sean deep in thought and leaned over to say:
"Boss, I heard that the neighboring freight yard owner wants to sell it. Can we buy it? Bos doesn’t need to provide additional funds, the money on the cargo account is enough now."
"Why buy another freight yard?" Sean was a little surprised, "Isn’t it enough?"
Jason grinned and showed his big white teeth, and said with a smile:
"Because our freight yard is now very famous. Not only are there a large number of treasure hunters coming at the time of container auction, but many people are also here to watch the excitement."
He pointed to the bustling little black in front of the container and said:
"Recently, there have been more container ships coming to the port, and our freight yard has been constantly receiving orders, but now there is not enough space..."
"Then the one next door shouldn’t sell?" Sean became even more puzzled, "Now is the time to make money, right?"
"I heard that the neighboring freight yard owner went on a trip to Las Vegas..." Jason’s half-sentence was heard and stopped.
Sean suddenly understood.
Wow! This thing can’t be touched!
He thought for a while and said:
"Find out clearly, there are no traps, there are no problems, then buy it. We must not buy it and then have subsequent troubles."
"Understood!" Hearing Sean’s agreement, Jason jumped happily, "I will check it out now!"
With nothing to do in the freight yard, Sean also had no intention to stay here, so he took a lap and drove the sports car to his new villa.
The location of the new villa is closer to the bustling area than the villa that Jeremy bought, and naturally, the price is much higher.
Of course, the nearby villa area is very quiet, with large private spaces, many green spaces, and many tall blonde beauties along the way.
Even seeing Sean’s sci-fi sports car, some beauties threw flying kisses at him from the open-top car.
Sean parked the car outside of his villa, got out of the car, and went in.
It should be cleaned regularly here, so it’s very clean.
The decoration is relatively elegant, a solid wood style, not very fancy, and Sean thought it was nice.
Kathy should have been here already, and there were empty spaces for some private items, probably taken away.
The space is larger than in the other villa.
Of course, what especially pleased Sean was that the new villa was closer to Joanna’s university!
At least it shortened their commute by more than half!
Sean immediately called Kathy and asked her to purchase all the private items in this villa.
At the very least, their living space ought to be comfortable!
After making arrangements, Sean went out and found two long-haired, long-legged beauties leaning against his sports car, discussing it.
When they saw Sean coming out, the two beautiful women’s eyes lit up and they walked over.
"Excuse me, sir, do you have any free time..."
"I’m sorry, you two beautiful ladies, I don’t have the time." Sean saw their revealing attire, which made him somewhat "excited", and felt it was better to leave first.
He got in the car, started it, and drove off.
Leaving behind two confused girls.
"He must live here; he probably had something urgent to attend to. I don’t believe..."
