Chapter 1474: 705

"This time, the items are not bad," Sean Knight commented appreciatively as he looked at the items on the deck, "There are indeed some boutique pieces."

Sean picked up a golden coin in very good condition and said,

"This coin alone could sell for 300 dollars."

Douglas responded joyfully,

"Mr. Knight, is there anything special about this coin?"

"It’s rare and exquisitely detailed," Sean knew it was time to give Douglas a little incentive, "And this Wooden box."

Sean picked up another Wooden box and said, "This is made of Sandalwood. Although it has been waterlogged for a long time, it wasn’t crushed. It can sell for 100 dollars no problem."

What Sean said was true, but he had significantly undercut the price. Such a Sandalwood box, if taken back to the domestic antique circle, wouldn’t sell for just 100 dollars—it could easily fetch 1,000 dollars.

"If you can accept this price, then I’ll take it," Sean said.

"No problem, no problem!" Douglas laughed repeatedly, "Doing business with you, I can learn a lot!"

Sean thought to himself, just don’t curse me later.

Besides the golden coin and the Wooden box, Douglas also collected some Gold and Silver Artifacts ornaments and tableware, which Sean guessed must have come from the fishermen venturing into the Wealthy District and finding a lot of valuable items.

These must have been carefully selected; on the rear end of the fishing boat’s deck, there were also some common items.

Sean packaged all these items and paid Douglas a total of 5,700 dollars.

The items were numerous, and each was of good quality, which pleased Sean greatly.

The Team members followed Sean and picked some items as well.

After Sean had the items loaded onto the cargo ship, he returned to the yacht.

"Douglas, send someone to ask those on the fishing boat if they would sell their stuff to us," Sean pointed out the large fishing boat that was still engaged with other boats, which was the one Douglas hoped Sean would help transact with.

"Okay," Douglas replied and lowered a motorboat from the yacht, letting two team members board and drive towards the fishing boat.

Douglas could only smile wryly when he saw this.

He had guessed that Sean might do this, but he was powerless to oppose it.

Sean’s leverage was much greater than his, now he could only hope that Sean wouldn’t leave him out.

Of course, Sean had no such intention. After the two team members had a chat with the Big Head captain, the fishing boat followed the motorboat over.

Douglas’s goods just sold out, and when he left, he brushed past the other boat, the Big Head giving Douglas a smug look.

Douglas just smiled.

He had to hurry to collect more goods.

The Big Head captain brought the fishing boat close to the yacht, and Sean glanced at it, noting no apparent danger, then jumped down using the ladder.

"I want to sell these items... as a package!" the captain said stubbornly, "No piece-selling!"

Sean didn’t immediately reply, but instead, took some time to examine the items on the boat.

The boat had a mixture of items with relatively lower quality, not as good as those Douglas had collected—mostly household items from the common people area, like iron candlesticks, chipped porcelain, and flattened copper pots.

Each item, if taken to an antique stall, was worth just a few dollars.

But the quantity was large.

There were several hundred items.

However, amongst these, Sean also spotted a few valuable pieces.

One was a Copper Avalokitesvara statue from the Yuan Dynasty era, relatively well-preserved—mainly some rust and dirt spoiled its appearance, making it look unremarkable.

In reality, through the "Sky Eye," Sean could tell this copper statue was beautifully and naturally crafted, about forty centimeters tall, with a well-rounded facial expression, without any damages or cracks. If cleaned and restored, it could be worth several tens of thousands of dollars when resold.

Another item was a large collection of Copper Coins.

Most of these coins were from the Ming Dynasty. Sean was surprised to find among them a full "Yongle Era Coin" with Three Cash on the reverse!

This item was unique—only one other exists worldwide, and even it is chipped!

Originally, someone during the Republic of China era offered five hundred Silver Marks for the chipped version, just imagine its purchasing power back then... huh.

Nowadays, this would be absolutely singular!

Not to mention its price, people would definitely be willing to pay several million dollars to acquire it!

Sean was somewhat surprised that there was not a single gold or silver item among the ship’s cargo.

After a brief thought, Sean realized that the Big Head captain must have hidden them away.

After finishing his analysis, Sean nonchalantly said,

"All of it... 1,000 dollars."

With about four to five hundred items, Sean’s offer was effectively two dollars per item wrapped up.

The Big Head twitched the corners of his mouth upon hearing this, clearly struggling not to laugh, but then immediately pulled a long face and shook his head vigorously,

"No, no, no, that’s too low! Add more money!"

"Don’t be shameless!" Douglas interjected from the side, "Don’t think we don’t know you’ve taken the valuable items away, none of these look worthwhile. Our boss is being generous giving you 1,000 dollars out of pity!"

Sean watched the Big Head expressionlessly.

Seeing he couldn’t get Sean to raise the price, the Big Head quickly changed his expression, nodded with a smile, and extended his hand for the money.

"Move the items first!" Douglas stepped in front of Sean, "We won’t be short of your money!"

The fishing boat moved to the cargo ship, where the team members started loading up the items. Sean signaled Douglas to secure that copper Buddha statue and the pile of Copper Coins.
