Chapter 1466: Chapter 702: Harboring Evil Intentions_3
He believed that Elijah Hastings and his team on the boat would definitely resolve this danger.
Sean Knight followed Curly Hair and his group at a distance of 300 meters, wanting to see what they were planning to do.
As they crossed the Ocean Trench, Curly Hair and his two companions were suddenly struck by Douglas Cooper and his men, who had been hiding behind the nearby rocks. Soon, the three men turned into three corpses!
Sean Knight thought for a moment, took an iron box out of the spatial realm—it was something he had salvaged just now at the Lord’s Manor, likely a private stash of someone there, containing a box of golden coins.
He couldn’t come back empty-handed.
As Sean Knight approached with the iron box, Douglas Cooper and his men were dealing with the three corpses.
Dealing with these three was all too simple for the three special operations team members who had emerged from the Aquatic Dragon.
Communicating underwater was difficult, so Douglas gestured for Sean Knight to go up first, and that they would follow later.
Sean Knight did not stand on ceremony, quickly boarding the yacht.
The team member on watch kept an eye on the water and, upon seeing Sean Knight come up, finally relaxed and reached out to help him aboard.
Sean Knight first handed over the iron box to him, and the team member, not expecting it to be so heavy, fumbled for a moment before managing to securely place the box on the deck with both hands.
By then, Sean Knight had already climbed aboard.
With the help of the team member, he removed his diving equipment.
"Captain Carter went down, and someone from that work boat dived down too..." the team member said while assisting Sean Knight.
"I ran into them. Those three have been dealt with," Sean Knight responded, "Douglas and the others are handling the bodies; they’ll be up soon."
"Just now, Captain Carter said that once they’re up, we’re launching the cruise missile..."
"Let me check." Sean Knight moved to the bow, picked up the telescope, pretended to look through it, and upon seeing that the tall, mixed-race man was watching from the other side, he said,
"Let’s not act from here. Have Yacht Number Two launch the cruise missile. It seems someone over there is observing us..."
"Roger that!" The team member immediately went to coordinate with Yacht Number Two.
Yacht Number Two was stationed to the southwest of the work boat, where the people aboard the work boat were all focusing attention here and wouldn’t notice the events unfolding there.
Shortly after, a cruise missile launched from a drone aboard Yacht Number Two, its moderate tracer fire streaking towards the work boat!
Then another missile followed!
Fearing that one missile might not do the job, Yacht Number Two launched three in succession!
When Douglas Cooper and his men surfaced from the seawater, the three cruise missiles consecutively hit the work boat!
A loud "boom" resounded as the work boat was directly split in two, flinging many pieces of equipment into the air. Through the telescope, Sean Knight saw the mixed-race boss get blown up first, becoming the initial sacrifice from the work boat!
"Boss, should we save them?" Douglas Cooper asked, noticing someone from the boat seemed to have jumped into the water.
"No," Sean Knight waved his hand, "No need to give a coup de grâce, but no need to save them either."
As long as they didn’t save them, these people were most certainly doomed.
"Arrange the guards and rest now, we have work to do tomorrow," Sean Knight said as he carried the iron box back.
In this super-sized yacht, there were plenty of sleeping quarters, Sean Knight’s naturally being the master bedroom.
"Boss, what did you find this time?" Douglas Cooper curiously looked at the iron box in Sean Knight’s hand.
"Golden coins," Sean Knight smiled, "They’re four or five hundred years old, so they’re considered antiques."
"Not bad at all!" Douglas admired, impressed by his boss’s luck.
Sean Knight just smiled, without replying.
Without tomorrow’s work boat to worry about, the people on this yacht would clearly reap more rewards—these golden coins weren’t really anything in comparison.
Holding the box, Sean Knight returned to the master bedroom, washed up briefly, and went to bed.
However, it wasn’t long before he woke up.
There was a disturbance on the yacht.
When he woke, he heard a team member reporting in a suppressed voice to Lincoln Harrington, who was on night watch at the time:
"Lincoln Harrington, the radar shows more than a dozen blips moving in our direction from the southeast... They’re likely fishing boats."
"Fishing boats?" Lincoln Harrington was puzzled, "I’ll go take a look!"
Lincoln Harrington headed outside, climbed to the highest part of the boat, and looked toward the Southeast Direction with a telescope.
Indeed, there were about a dozen fishing boats approaching. The boats were moving fast—though the roar of their engines hadn’t reached them yet, he could see the white trail of water churned up in their wake.
Trouble was coming!
"What’s happening?" hearing Sean Knight’s voice, Lincoln Harrington turned to see him approaching, and immediately pointed towards the Southeast Direction and said,
"Numerous fishing boats are arriving. We’ve checked before; this is not a traditional fishing ground... There are no ocean currents or schools of fish below..."
"They must be the ones who left yesterday," predicted Sean Knight, as dawn arrived, "Their haul must have alerted others."
Lincoln Harrington nodded, the reasoning was sound.
"So, what do we do?"
"We do what we need to do," Sean Knight grinned, "We’re here to seek fortune. If they don’t interfere, we proceed as planned.
If they want to provoke us, we won’t be afraid."
That made sense. The number of cruise missiles on the yacht was more than enough to account for these fishing boats twice over.
They were truly unafraid.
Besides, everyone involved was pursuing the same trade—who was to be scared of whom?
"Let’s go back to rest," Sean Knight said, "Don’t worry about them."
Though he said rest, it wasn’t really possible anymore as dawn was breaking and the team member responsible for cooking had already started preparing ingredients.
Half an hour later, the fishing boats reached the Sea Territory, spreading out to occupy positions nearby, shutting off their engines.
The remains of the work boat still polluted the Sea Surface with large patches of oil, along with various pieces of Wood and pieces of rubber floating around.
Those who had been making a living on the sea knew all too well what had happened.
Sean Knight continued to watch these fishing boats—he had thought these people would avoid that area, but one particularly fast and sizable fishing boat had taken the spot first.
Clearly, they were aware of the incident involving the work boat, and since the work boat was more advanced, it had located a lucrative site!
Sean Knight shook his head slightly.
Better to keep the peace, otherwise, they’d serve as a reminder of what had happened previously!
