Chapter 1401: Chapter 680 The Ancient Legend in the Ancient Castle_2

That is to say, there is a hidden spatial realm here!

And behind the hidden spatial realm, there really is quite a lot of treasure hidden!

This is truly a surprise!

Sean Knight didn’t ask the question until he had finished exploring all three floors and had come outside of the castle:

"How much for this castle?"

He was mentally prepared to be hit with an astronomical asking price.

After all, it was an ancient artifact from 300 years ago, and according to the agent’s description, it was a "heritage property" that might still have living descendants of the original builder.

Just look at the castles in Europe associated with vampire legends with so many restrictions, yet they still sell for such high prices! And they don’t even allow renovations!

The agent quoted a price that took Sean Knight by surprise:

"550,000 dollars."

In Sean Knight’s mind, this price seemed too low.

It wouldn’t even cover the cost of the land, right?

However, considering this was a place where not even a bird would take a shit, being able to sell it at all was a cause for celebration!

He habitually countered with a lower offer:

"400,000 dollars would be more appropriate, I think."

After Viola conveyed this offer, the agent’s eyes widened and, without a moment’s hesitation, he exclaimed loudly:

"Deal!"

Too hasty!

The way the agent was looking at him, he clearly saw Sean Knight as an easy mark!

Perhaps it could have been settled for even 200,000 dollars!

It seemed he had been out of practice in bargaining for too long—no, his mouth was out of practice!

But since he had already named his price, Sean Knight didn’t say anything more; there were no regrets once the words were out.

While Viola took Douglas Cooper to handle the procedures, Sean Knight began inspecting his castle and the surrounding land.

It must be said, due to the lack of people, the resources were plentiful. Sean Knight casually walked within the castle’s bounds, spotting quite a few black and white things on the birch trees!

Chaga mushrooms, monkey head mushrooms—these things were treasures in the eyes of mountain hermits!

In the nearby forest, he could see deer, roe deer, and foxes.

Clearly, there was no shortage of wild flora and fauna. Mushrooms were everywhere, popping up all over the place.

When Sean Knight and Elijah Hastings came to the lakeside, they found a river that flowed through the small lake, providing water in and out.

The lake surface shimmered, and occasionally fish leaped up.

"Boss, fishing here with a boat would be absolutely fantastic," Elijah suggested, pointing at the small lake.

But Sean Knight was lost in thought, looking at the lake.

The size of the lake was not small, as the river took a bend, forming a crescent-shaped lake.

On one side of the crescent was the lake, and on the straight side was the river. Sean Knight and his companions were standing on the curved side—there was something in the lake! Tiny specks, dazzling to the eye!

Sean Knight felt that he had really made the right purchase!

Just based on the castle and what was in the lake, the return on investment could easily be tenfold!

But such matters definitely required long-term planning.

After a cursory look around, although he hadn’t discovered any other valuable places, Sean Knight felt that it was already worth it.

Back at the castle, as Douglas Cooper was still busy with the paperwork—Sean Knight took Elijah Hastings and Lincoln Harrington to the fort that the agent had mentioned.

The fort was not far away and was closer to the highway compared to the castle.

Upon arriving at the fort, Sean Knight was amazed to find that there were over a dozen people studying the structure of the building.

He didn’t understand what they were saying, but after observing them for a while, he guessed that they might be university professors conducting research with their students.

Could this fort be quite famous?

Sean Knight was a bit disappointed.

If it was indeed famous, then the likelihood of valuable items being inside would be less. After all, with more people coming and going, it’s easier to notice any irregularities. With more research being done, secrets are more likely to be uncovered.

Those people also noticed Sean Knight and his group, and the students curiously glanced over, then listened to their middle-aged professor explaining the structure.

Sean Knight and his companions didn’t interfere. They had always held great respect for education and those who teach; naturally, Sean Knight was no exception.

He didn’t want to let his monetarily driven endeavors disturb the other party. There was plenty of time anyway.

So they observed the fort from a distance.

It was a classic example of an ancient fortress, with a slope excavated for protection, a stone embankment resembling a moat for defense without any water inside.

The fort was irregularly shaped, designed according to the terrain, with a two-story stone building and five spike-like stone city walls, facilitating crossfire against invading enemies.

By area, this fort was even larger than the castle, and flat in shape.

Sean Knight stood outside the trench, with Sky Eye activated, he could see rusted iron arrowheads that no longer looked like anything and broken scythes buried in the soil beneath his feet.

Scythes?

What sort of strange things had gotten mixed in here?

As Sean Knight pondered, he suddenly realized that the middle-aged scholar and his students were heading in his direction.

Seeing the look in the scholar’s eyes, Sean Knight knew that the man was indeed approaching him.

So he circled around and crossed the temporary stone bridge built over the trench.

Tomsk was considered a city with a relatively concentrated educational sector and plentiful educational resources. Sean Knight could tell that the students following the scholar were not only from Russia but also from Europe, America, the Middle East, and even East Asia.
