After receiving the news that 'Class-1 force has escaped in the southwest direction' from Rina, Lamda picked up three agile members and promptly left for the south.

If anything, Machos and Celestine should have escaped in the same direction, yet there was so sign of them.

Lamda quickly guessed the Gracious Smile's team of Machos should be heading at least in the same direction since Class-1 deliberately took the route from southern point (F-18) to merge with them.

In that case, they should be able to chip out the enemy's force by catching them at their meeting point. And this was why he opted for agile members for the task.

"Leader, a few people are heading in our direction!"

"They must be to stop us. Keep pushing onward!"

Lamda's decision to follow with agile members appeared to be a correct one as they had soon caught up to Class-1 before they could completely dive into the south. However, they suddenly saw them splitting them. The split members' target, as many as four, seemed to be them.

They should be the obstacles prepared to stop them.

"I am Saturn! Themight  «Great Sorcerer» Saturn!"

Of the four from the obstacle squad, a familiar looking mage-esque boy shouted in his direction.

Ugh, so they're going for an introduction!?

As much he had wanted to press on, it was the knight's etiquette to introduce oneself back in such situations!

"This one's Lamda! Job is «Caliburn Paladin»! And I will have you cleared to open the path for us!"

The four suddenly showed a flustered appearance when Lamda replied back to their introduction.

*Hmm? They are so defenseless.*

For a moment, Lamda doubted if they're really there to fight them given their loose stance, but that was soon dispelled when the «Great Sorcerer» boy shot his magic.

"Haa, «Flare Burst»!"

"Open the path for me! —«Sacred Light Sword Manifest - True Thrust»!"

Lamda also reacted with an attack of his own. A fourth order skill.

A giant sword appeared, swallowing and invalidating the attacks of his opponent. From the spectacle alone, it was truly a 'thrust' from a 'Sacred Light Sword.'

Momentrary, the attack layered with two elements 'Holy' and 'Light' fell on Lamda's enemy.

The opponent's tank attempted to defend it, but that ended in vain as the attack still crashed on them with a loud *Baaaang*, and hurled the four into the air.

" " " "Whaaa?!?" " " "

Their cries dominated the area. But as someone who had taken the task to stall them, they did manage to hang on without being eliminated. Albeit, this destroyed their line up at the very least.

"Amazing, Leader! It was just one attack!"

"Hmm. Anyway, let's push forward! If they try to block our route, then cut them apart when you pass by them!"

The opponent's team of four fell down on the ground after a trip in the sky, and was put into 'Down' status.

Maybe, they would no longer be bothering them. Plus, they had been hurled to quite a distance, so even if they tried to attack them, they would have to first chase them.

But on the other hand, Lamda was slightly curious. Given the lack of resistance, he really wondered if they're the members of Class-1.

However, it could be this carelessness of him that he failed in noticing the sound of some sort of wheels spinning against ground.

"«Long Thrust»!"

"Woaaahhh!!"

It was sheer confidence that he managed to set up his shield in response to the sudden surprise attack.

*Clang*

The sound of metals crashing against each other echoed out, and in the next moment, Lamda side-stepped to open up the distance.

"My name's Ester. And I have been tasked with the duty to stop you there by Zephyr-dono. Thus, I hope you can continue to play along with my tricks."

The sudden assailant was a breathtaking beautiful girl, her feets equipped with some sort of strange shoes with wheels.

Drawing out a parallel to her graceful gestures, the aura of a thorough knight stood her apart from anyone else he had seen. He could count on one hand the number of people who could deliver an attack as impactful as her even in «King Absolute.»

"How polite. I'm Lamda. Likewise, maybe I can get you to step aside."

Lamda replied, while also giving his two team members a signal with two fingers.

It appeared it wasn't going to be an easy ride against her, Lamda thought.

When the name of Miss Ester came out, everyone in the «King Absolute» knew she was the talented guard of Prince Yuri's little sister. And even among the ranks of «Eden», she was one of the heavy hitters.

From what he knew, knights were valued due to their potential as attackers who ride on horseback typically. Though the knight in front him appeared on wheels, instead of the horse.

The strange equipment allowed her a greater mobility as well speed, and offense, even in the absence of horses. She must have caught up to them when Lamda had stopped for a moment to take care of the earlier four opponents.

Either way, with the appearance of Ester, it was clear they couldn't ignore her, and this means they lost their chance to catch Class-1 by surprise.

But perhaps, it wasn't that bad of a trade. She appeared to be a key figure among the Class-1, so it would only give them an upper hand if they could eliminate her here!

Lamda quickly resolved himself.

"Then let's have a fight, fight and square!"

"Likewise. And so, I would like you to take care of the rest of the three members, team <Best of the Best, the Great Star>."

"Y-Yes, mam! Leave it to us!"

Oh? It appeared the «Great Sorcerer» from earlier was still hanging around.

Somehow, their HP had completely recovered, and they're even casted buffs on them surprisingly. It was the same situation he had seen with «Machos» in the fortress.

Since he would be tackling Miss Ester, he had covered this part. But, for the rest, their opponent had one more member by their side. Maybe, this might be a tough call to handle? Lamda had been wondering when his classmate pointed out at the «Great Sorcerer» boy

and spoke confidently.

"Leader! Rest assured, we will tidy up these amateurs nicely."

"W-Who the hell are you calling amateurs?! Just you wait, I am going to make a mincemeat out of you! —«Flare Impulse»!"

And at last, the battle kicked off.

Since he could only believe in his classmates, he also put his focus on his target. She was a strong enemy, and any kind of side thought would only prove detrimental.

Lamda braced himself.
