Chapter 58: Chapter: 58, Sudden Disruption

At the Grand Hall

In front of all the Officials of the Kaiser Empire, including the Blessed, Emperor Ray, Saintess Lily, Arcadius, Lilith and Harold, Dainsleif was on his knees, looking at the ground as absurdity filled his heart.

He looked up and saw the disgusted and resentful gazes of everyone. Emperor Ray looked disappointed and the Saintess looked a bit relieved, as if a heavy burden had been lifted from her heart.

From the corner of his eyes, he saw the distressed looks from Hestia. Azaria beside her had tears in her eyes as she moved her lips repeatedly and whispered something over and over under her breath. Penelope beside them had a dark expression, but not at him. She glared in front of her, looking right at Duron and Aldric.

They had smug and satisfied smiles that they had hidden very well that only Penelope and some of them could notice. The other high ranking officials also noticed this but they didn’t want to offend Aldric as he was one of the heroes, so no one pointed it out.

Dainsleif smiled bitterly seeing all this. He was about to rest, but now he is tangled in this mess that he didn’t even want.

To know what happened, let’s go 2 hours back, right before Dainsleif was about to rest after exhausting himself all day.

"It’s about time. Are you ready?" Penelope asked as they stood right in front of Dainsleif’s room.

Azaria looked nervous. She was excited, but also scared of the possibility of anything going wrong with this. Eventually she calmed her heart and replied with determination, "Yes, I am."

Behind them, Duron was spying on them from the side. The two were strong enough that they could’ve sensed him, but they were unable to since he had asked Graton to completely erase his presence, so that even the two of them cannot detect him.

His eyes were red as he realized what they were about to do. His hand clenched to the side and he looked at Penelope with resentful eyes. ’They are really going to do it?! Damn you bitch! If you wanted to do this just do it yourself, why drag her into this?’

After he saw Azaria going inside, he quickly backed away and headed to the colosseum.

In the colosseum, The Blessed Students were all collected and gathered in a wide circle, laughing and enjoying the cooked meat and drinks prepared by Harold and Lilith, who joined them on their BBQ party.

The party was arranged since the day’s activity exhausted them and needed some rest. Abigail, Julia, Jack and others including the Support type people all ate and drank heartily.

Aldric was sitting on the side, touching the hilt of his sword in a daze. He was contemplating on the fight against Hestia, which ended in his utter defeat. He was confused as to how Hestia, who was still level 1 and had the same skills as him, could overpower him like an ant just with the things they called ’Laws’.

Suddenly he snapped out of his daze and noticed Duron rushing over with clear panic on his face. He looked as if he saw his seven generations of ancestor’s ghosts in this world.

As if to notice his gaze, Duron looked at him and then Harold. He quickly got close to Harold and whispered in his ears that Aldric heard bits of, "I saw Dainsleif feeding Azaria something and after drinking it she became unconscious. He then picked her up and entered his room. We should hurry before anything bad happens."

Harold’s eyes narrowed and a serious look replaced the recent joyous expression. He quickly placed the items he was holding and started to follow Duron. Some of their classmates were also able to hear bits of it and frowned in confusion.

They knew Dainsleif well enough that they had a basic idea of his character. Besides, Dainsleif and Azaria are childhood friends, if something were to happen, it would’ve happened long ago.

They all began to walk towards Dainsleif’s room along with Aldric and everyone else who didn’t hear clearly.

In the hallways, Hestia was heading to Dainsleif’s room to inquire about the progress when she noticed all of her classmates along with Harold and others going somewhere together.

She approached them and asked one of her friends about what happened. Her friend explained the situation to her and also mentioned what Duron said.

Hestia frowned and tried to stop Harold saying, "Wait! Mr. Harold. Maybe Duron misunderstood, I know him from childhood and their relationship is very good, almost close to being lovers, maybe they’re just playing some game?"

She indeed didn’t partake in this plan, but that doesn’t mean she can let the plan fain just because of outside intervention.

Harold frowned and replied without slowing his pace, "We’ll know that for sure when we go and see for ourselves. I don’t want uncertainty blocking my doubts. We’ll leave them alone once we confirm that nothing is wrong."

Saying that, He fastened his pace and everyone else followed behind. Aldric stared at Hestia’s back, his emotions complicated as he also walked quicker.

At the corner of Dain’s room, Penelope was sitting on the corner while casting every single stealth skill she had. She had just gone for a moment to get her mana recovery potions from her room and quickly came back to hide.

Her skills would cost much mana that won’t last for the time she decided to watch.

After much waiting, the door of the room finally opened and Dainsleif walked in. He locked the door behind him and opened the robe from his back.

Suddenly, he noticed something odd with his bed. The blankets were raised as if someone was underneath them. He walked closer, confused as to who might sneak in his room. He wasn’t worried about any surprise attacks as even if there was, he could easily deflect or avoid that.

He then carefully touched the blanket and threw it off the bed.

"You!" His eyes contracted as shock was written all over his face.
