"Alright, alright, you all keep busy with what you’re doing, I’ll just sit here for a bit."

Mrs. Li, seeing that she couldn’t really help out, found herself a chair and sat down.

After sitting for a while, feeling quite bored, she went over to watch Gu Yi dress the mannequin.

Gu Yi first put a white short-sleeved undershirt on the mannequin, paired it with a black knee-length skirt, and draped a beige scarf around its neck.

For the outer layer, she added a chocolate-colored long down jacket.

"This outfit looks quite nice, but won’t it be too cold?"

Mrs. Li watched for a long time and couldn’t help herself from suddenly saying something.

"It should be fine. Although the clothes inside aren’t thick, the down jacket is very warm. When indoors, you can take off the coat, and the clothes inside look good too."

Nowadays, the quality of down jackets is quite good. Although not as lightweight as the newer ones, they still offer great warmth.

Mrs. Li nodded in agreement with Gu Yi’s response.

She retreated to the side to continue watching Gu Yi work.

Mrs. Li found it truly soothing to watch Gu Yi at work. Regardless of what clothes she took out, she could seamlessly find a suitable outfit to match them.

And the final result always turned out fantastic.

"Yiyi, when you have some time, could you come to my house and help me with my clothes?"

Unable to resist, Mrs. Li finally asked Gu Yi.

"If you’re busy, it’s okay."

"Of course, I’d have time to help you with your clothes, but it would have to be a few days later. I’ll be out of town tomorrow and the day after that."

"There’s no rush, no rush at all. Just come when you have time. You style clothes so beautifully. I love shopping too, but I’m awful at coordinating them. So, many clothes I buy get worn once and then forgotten. It’s such a waste to throw them away, yet they just pile up."

Thinking about the clothes at home, Mrs. Li felt sorry for them. If Gu Yi could match them nicely, even if she couldn’t wear them, she could always gift them to others.

"Alright then, Auntie, how about I come by next week, okay?"

Gu Yi thought for a while; next week seemed free enough for her to go help out on Friday evening.

"Great, great, I’ll be waiting for you then."

Mrs. Li was quite happy but couldn’t help sighing once more. How come such a pretty, capable, and kind girl is already married?

If only she could be her daughter-in-law, she’d be overjoyed every night.

After all, her son Li Yitian isn’t bad either. Why hasn’t he met such a wonderful girl?

Li Yitian felt confused for no reason.

Once everything was done, Li Yitian first drove Gu Yi home before heading back with his mother.

Thinking back to that blind date, Li Yitian felt like it was a ridiculous farce.

The girl’s implication was that her dad’s position could land her a job; with someone like Li Yitian’s unstable job, his family’s conditions couldn’t be that good.

At the end, the girl even said she was only there out of respect for Aunt Wen.

Aunt Wen’s husband, Uncle Wen, was her dad’s superior’s superior.

She reflected on whether she was indeed too anxious before.

She should trust that her son would find the right person.

"Son, maybe I was a bit too hasty before. Your father and I should trust that you can lead a good life. I always thought you were still that little boy who would run to mom when you cried. But after hearing your thoughts today, I realize you’ve grown up and understand what you want. From now on, I’ll try not to pressure you, okay? But if there is a nice girl, I still hope you’d consider meeting her. Maybe you’ll find the connection you want."

Even though Mrs. Li agreed to step back a little, as a parent, she couldn’t completely let go.
