Chapter 202: Chapter 201: The Persistent Jin Yu (4 more)
Jin Yu also noticed he was having a nosebleed, but afraid that Xu Niannian would run if he let go, he simply lowered his head and wiped the blood with Xu Niannian’s clothes.
Xu Niannian: "..."
It seemed that the two slaps she had given him weren’t enough, as he now dared to rub against her clothes.
"Jin Yu, let me go." Having slapped him twice, Xu Niannian felt a bit more relieved and thus spoke with a slightly calmer tone.
Jin Yu didn’t say yes or no, just kept pulling on her clothes to continue wiping his nosebleed.
Realizing Jin Yu’s movements, the veins on Xu Niannian’s forehead visibly throbbed.
There really seemed to be no limit to how low a person could stoop.
Xu Niannian really felt like slapping him two more times.
Fortunately, Jin Yu still had a shred of reason left and managed to lift his face, asking her with a flushed face, "Have you calmed down?"
Xu Niannian: "..."
His tone made it seem like she was making a fuss over nothing. Would she be so angry if it weren’t for him?
"Let me go first, then we can talk." She turned her face away, not looking at him.
Stubborn to the end, Jin Yu stiffened his neck: "I won’t let go."
"Jin Yu, do you realize you’re being incredibly unreasonable!"
Jin Yu pursed his lips, giving an unexpected reply: "I know."
"Then why are you still..."
"I can’t control myself," Jin Yu blurted out again, his black eyes deep and captivating.
He squinted slightly, maintaining his hold on her, and answered sincerely, "I like you."
"Just because you like me, you think you can disregard my feelings and do whatever you want to me?" Xu Niannian was annoyed.
Jin Yu looked down at her, his gaze fixed on Xu Niannian: "I’ve figured out that you like me too."
Xu Niannian: "...So because I might also like you, that gives you the right to kiss me whenever you want?"
"I thought you would be happy."
"Where did you get the idea that I would be happy?"
Upon hearing this, Jin Yu’s dark eyes became intense as ink, staring steadily at Xu Niannian.
"If you kissed me, I would be very happy," he said coldly and bluntly, making it crystal clear what he was thinking.
Because he liked her, being kissed by her would make him very happy.
And then he reasoned that since she liked him too, she would also be happy being kissed by him.
Divine logic, absolutely flawless, a perfect score.
Hey, is that the Dean of Students? There’s a genius here, you should capture him for the lab. His brain’s developed so well, it can fit a one-meter-eighty-something idiot in there!
Xu Niannian was utterly subdued by his divine logic.
Seeing how shamelessly persistent he was, she suddenly wasn’t angry anymore because she was already dying of laughter.
"Alright, let go of me and I won’t kick you out, okay?" Xu Niannian said.
Jin Yu looked down at her: "You’re not angry anymore?"
Xu Niannian: "I’m not angry anymore."
She tilted her head, her moist eyes blinking: "You’re hurting me."
Her voice was soft and coquettish, enough to make one’s bones go soft.
Obediently, Jin Yu let go, but the next second, Xu Niannian suddenly exerted force and pushed him out the door with a bang, nearly catching Jin Yu’s nose.
Temporarily unable to see Jin Yu’s face, Xu Niannian felt a great sense of relief both physically and mentally.
Jin Yu stood outside, his face showing helplessness.
With his hands on his hips, Jin Yu squinted, looking at the almost two-meter-high wall.
Easily, he reached up to grab it and leaped with a push, flipping onto the wall. Just as he sat atop, a basin of water was splashed towards him.
Jin Yu wanted to dodge, but from below came Xu Niannian’s soft but angry voice: "Jin Yu, if you dare dodge, don’t ever expect me to pay attention to you again."
Jin Yu’s half-avoided body stiffly shifted back into place.
A bucket of cold water poured over his head left him thoroughly chilled, with his wet bangs softly clinging to his forehead, his handsome face tense.
Jin Yu raised his hand to smooth back his hair, pressing it on top of his head, looking down at Xu Niannian with a gaze as deep as ink, "Have you calmed down?"
His low, magnetic voice was enticing, like the sound of a cello, elegantly intoxicating.
Xu Niannian pursed her lips, struck by his charm.
He looked at her with that all-embracing gaze, even a bit like a boyfriend indulging his capricious girlfriend, extremely doting.
Xu Niannian parted her lips, just regretting having splashed him with water, when his aggravating remark followed.
"Although I don’t know why you’re angry."
The sentence sounded like he was muttering to himself.
Xu Niannian’s face darkened, furious that after riling her up to this extent, he would claim to not know why she was angry.
Ah, men are all pigs.
She didn’t want to talk to him anymore.
Xu Niannian turned and stormed into the house, while Jin Yu jumped down from the wall, landed on a pile of grass, and twisted his ankle slightly.
He kicked the raised pile of grass in the yard irritably: "So ugly and yet you’re in my yard, what nerve."
Faced with Xu Niannian’s cold treatment, even the grass pile seemed offensive to ’King Jin.’
Xu Niannian, walking ahead, didn’t realize he was talking about the grass pile and thought it was directed at her.
She was so angry she nearly choked.
She’s ugly?
"Jin Yu, go die." Unable to contain her anger, Xu Niannian turned and charged at him, basin in hand, fierce as a storm.
Her expression looked as though she wished she could smash the basin on his face.
Jin Yu frowned, puzzled over what he had done to provoke her this time.
Are all women so inexplicably moody?
This time Jin Yu didn’t stand his ground but ducked to avoid the attack, hoisting her onto his shoulder.
"Calm down a bit," he said with a frown, carrying her with big strides toward the house while Xu Niannian struggled fiercely, the basin clanging loudly against his back.
Jin Yu kicked open her bedroom door, tossing Xu Niannian onto the bed.
Xu Niannian lay there, glaring at him with bulging eyes and puffed cheeks, angry and powerless.
Jin Yu looked down at her; her big watery eyes were black and bright, clear and translucent, beautiful like black agate.
"Can I start?"
He suddenly asked, having learned to make a polite inquiry this time.
Xu Niannian pursed her lips in silence, finding Jin Yu’s thought process peculiar.
She suddenly realized how foolish it was to be angry with him.
Xu Niannian did like Jin Yu, but her feelings weren’t that deep, nor had they had the chance to ferment.
Before she could answer, Jin Yu had already taken action.
Xu Niannian’s face flushed, she buried it between her knees.
Things had escalated to this point, and she was baffled.
Just a minute ago they were arguing, and she felt like dunking her head into a manure pit to cleanse it.
And now, look at this.
Even Jin Yu hadn’t expected this.
Being a man, Jin Yu felt it was time for him to say something to mark the occasion.
After pursing his lips, he tried to make his voice sound less husky.
He asked, "Want to be my girlfriend?"
