If that were the case, the level of ’greening’ would indeed be formidable!
Fortunately, the actual scenario was not like this. Jia Yan arrived at the edge of a vast desert.
"If memory serves me correctly, the desert lies along the equatorial region of the planet, stretching all the way up to the North Pole!"
Jia Yan recollected the geographical information he’d once seen in the city. After all, while serving as a battle pet, he had not given up exploring this planet and had consequently gathered quite a lot of knowledge about it.
"The city I was in before was one of seven on this planet and was named ’Planet Six’. This is obviously a name given by the lazy Auster people. It’s said that the cities are named in a certain pattern, in a straight line along the equator. Having left City Six, I do not know which city I will come across next."
Although Jia Yan’s aim was not to enter a city, he still wanted to get close to a city of alien beings. If he wanted to gain the energy source of those artificial constructs, he had to interact with these beings!
"Huh? What’s that over there?! ..."
At these thoughts, Compound Eyes suddenly brightened, as if he had made some discovery!
It turned out that numerous settlements, no bigger than small towns, started appearing in front of Jia Yan.
In that area, although there were a few towering buildings dozens of meters high, compared to City Six they were merely a case of a small sorcerer facing a great one.
Also, the area only covered about three kilometers, a far cry from the hundreds of kilometers of City Six!
"It can’t possibly be a city! The scale of an official city can’t be this small. But if it’s not a city, then what on earth is it?" Jia Yan took a sudden interest. After all, he knew that according to the impressions of lifeforms in City Six, venturing outside of a city was extremely dangerous; one might encounter soldiers from conflicting sides and die a senseless death.
He wrapped his body in brainwave power, utilizing the method of using brainwave power he had just researched. It worked magnificently!
Quietly and making as little noise as possible, Jia Yan flew in the direction of that city!
Approaching the outskirts of the forest, there were a few extremely large Elderwoods. Upon arriving, Jia Yan hovered beneath these trees, stealing glances at the cluster of buildings under the cover of the large grey-yellow trunks!
The location of this place was extremely hidden, being right at the edge of the desert. Jia Yan guessed that because of the great battle, the aerial detectors couldn’t survey the entire planet, therefore, this area was in a blind spot. He wondered about the intentions of the beings who decided to settle here!
"Could it be a military or a similar organization?" Jia Yan pondered.
However, on closer inspection, he thought something was off because if it were an official organization or military, he surely would have been spotted already despite having masked his presence. After all, the planet’s technology was far superior to that of Earth. Even if the conflicting parties had interference, it would not be possible that they were unable to detect him when he was so close to some official buildings!
While observing the structures, Jia Yan saw several alien species he had observed in City Six move in and out of these buildings.
The structures, if viewed as a group, were not small in size and could match the scale of a county town on Earth, housing population numbers in the range of one to two hundred thousand.
So when Jia Yan saw these alien life forms, he was not surprised. What he didn’t expect was that these aliens appeared to be even more destitute than those he had seen in the slums of City Six.
A few beings that looked like frogs were dressed in ragged, incredibly worn-out clothing. Then there were the Austers, who resembled Earth people, and their poverty was even more obvious. Even on Earth, they would look like paupers.
A group of twelve beings, who were carrying what appeared to be steel-made firearms, advanced in Jia Yan’s direction.
Jia Yan made himself even more inconspicuous.
After seeing that white lifeform’s brainwave ability a few days ago, which rendered his physical appearance unperceivable, Jia Yan had gained some insight. Although he could not mimic the white lifeform and make others unable to view him, Jia Yan very likely needed to study its special abilities further. However, he was still able to use his own brainwave power to at the very least, slightly shield himself from the view of others.
This was not because he had a special ability, but because brainwave power is essentially a form of brainwave transfer in nature. What Jia Yan had to do was imitate that white lifeform, release his own brainwave power in the air, and interfere with beings that greatly differ from his own brainwave power!
This group of beings seemed not to pay much attention to Big Mosquito’s area, even if they glanced at the huge tree, their gaze moved across the figure of Jia Yan hidden under the shadows of the tree, without any suspicion.
"Nice! Although I will likely be spotted if I am too conspicuous, this technique is quite useful in this
