Chapter 427: Chapter 43: Escape!! [Seeking Subscription]_3

He finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Those flying vehicles didn’t activate their weapon systems while pursuing him. Jia Yan couldn’t figure out why, but he was grateful nonetheless!

After all, if they had all started attacking, Jia Yan, even with faith in his bluish defense, couldn’t guarantee he would be able to hold on for long with just half of his energy recovering!

"It’s not right. After one battle and escape, my energy is probably down to less than half again!" Jia Yan lamented as he felt his body, a bitter smile involuntarily creeping onto his face.

He slowed down his speed. High-speed flight is the most energy-consuming.

"I can’t stay in that city anymore, but my energy hasn’t fully recovered. But compared to before I entered the city, my condition has definitely improved!"

"In that city, first of all, I’ve recovered about half my strength. It’s enough for me to exert some seventy or eighty percent of my past combat power, just not for long periods. The second point is that, from what I saw and learned in the city and from Daphne’s explanations, I’ve acquired a lot of information about the planet and the alien civilizations. I’ve even learned to speak the language of the Auster people. Now, if I were to go back to the Solar System, I might be able to control my own flying craft!"

His flying vehicle, parked on the outskirts of Earth’s atmosphere, had been a mystery to him because he couldn’t understand the language of the Auster people. Now, things were completely different!

Thinking about these advantages, Jia Yan finally felt somewhat satisfied. Although Daphne might disclose his information, it wasn’t a big deal to him!

Jia Yan now had a rough idea of his position!

The white monster in the previous city was likely a unique entity.

After a bit of fun, Jia Yan sorted through his thoughts!

The opposite party had those rat monsters as minions. Plus, earlier on, Jia Yan saw this monster fighting amongst many aliens in the War Pet Arena, causing casualties without any worry. This could only mean the monster had a special status!

Jia Yan couldn’t win against her, and he had his reasons.

Besides, if he could regain all his power, it was unsure who would win or lose!

Thus, if this white entity is regarded as one of the stronger beings on this war-torn planet, Jia Yan reckoned his own combat power was not inferior!

Having figured out his position, Jia Yan felt more confident about his chances of survival!

Ahead lay endless gray-yellow trees, and Jia Yan was rapidly flying through them all!

Sine Daphne was no longer around, he felt he could get more things done. Having her at his side somewhat restricted his freedom. His initial intention was to control her actions and learn the language of the Auster people to guarantee his safety. Nevertheless, it seems he had confused his priorities.

"My original intention was to recover strength, even achieve another mutation before returning to Earth. Does it really matter where I stay? Why stick to the city?"

As Jia Yan flew into the distance, he had other ideas. On Earth, it was always in the wilderness where he had stumbled upon mutation opportunities. So now, after gaining enough information in that city, he didn’t necessarily need to enter another alien city!

"But I definitely can’t go back the way I came. From my understanding, that place is likely what they refer to as the war zone. Going there is asking for trouble, so I should look in another direction for potential discoveries!"

Jia Yan roughly estimated his energy. With his current energy, he could go without food for one or two months. However, the longer he dragged on, the weaker he would get. He couldn’t possibly wait till one or two months later to plan his next move.

"So... within 20 days, I should explore most parts of this planet. If I find energy sources suitable for me, or anything else, there’s no need to risk going to those cities! But if I gain nothing within 20 days, then after that, I’ll have to risk it, find another city to enter, and somehow get my hands on some nutrient solution!"

On this planet, the only known thing that could help Jia Yan was this so-called nutrient fluid that the alien lifeforms had. If there were no other alternatives, he would have to enter another city and try to pass himself off as a battle pet again to get some nutrient solution. As per his recent observations, cities on this planet didn’t appear to be closely connected, and finding a closer city to get some nutrient solution was plausible!

Of course, that’s a last resort, dependent on whether Jia Yan could think of other ways in the next 20 days!

"I have a substantial problem that’s cropped up for a while now. I’ve either ignored or brushed it off all this while, but I can’t ignore it any longer!"

Jia Yan slowed down his speed.

Meanwhile, the gleam in his compound eyes turned contemplative!

The gray-yellow trees surrounded him, and his colossal form, amongst the towering and ancient trees of up to two hundred meters tall, didn’t seem that intimidating anymore.

Above him, the gray-yellow star was gradually setting.

Night was coming!

After flying for nearly one and a half thousand kilometers in one go, Jia Yan finally settled down beneath a towering tree that was over two hundred and fifty meters tall!
