"I said I wouldn’t cause you trouble within a month, and I keep my word!" Daphne’s fingertips continued to soften at the cut on her neck, where a fresh streak of blood was extremely conspicuous.

The woman didn’t seem to be affected by her previously heavy injuries, which had mostly healed considerably.
