The police and the defense force, noticing the bandits’ weakening firepower, were convinced that they were planning to flee.

So the moment the smoke grenade was thrown, they rushed out from behind their shield or vehicles!

They began to pursue the fleeing bandits!

The camera in the hovering news helicopter caught all the action.

The anchorwoman suddenly announced, “There’s a new development in the battle!

As you can see, the bandits have begun to retreat, and the police and self-defense forces are in pursuit.

Could this be the end of the incident?!”

The anchorwoman spoke quickly, describing the situation on the ground.

The smoke grenade had obstructed the officers’s view, and no one could see what was happening ahead, including the current status of the bandits, and so on!

Back in the studio, emotions ran high.

The so-called military experts and high-ranking police officials invited to the studio were all watching the live feed anxiously.

With the change in the situation, they knew they were now at the most critical phase!

That left only the first possibility!

Remembering their comrade’s screams just moments earlier, they concluded that it must have been the monster Yulong had mentioned that had inflicted the injuries!

This was no joke!

Except for Yulong, the tense faces of the other two men met each other’s gaze.

At this point, Yulong was unlikely to be lying!

Which meant that the monster he had been talking about must really exist!

The two men were deeply concerned.

If they claimed that they didn’t regret accepting this mission, that would be a lie!

But having reached this point, it wasn’t unlike the times they where surrounded by armed forces while on duty in places like Afghanistan; each time regret filled their hearts, but they managed to pull through and survive each time!

Therefore, these seasoned soldiers continued their wary run, not allowing regret to overcome them!

However, their emotions could not affect the monster’s attack

From a shadowy spot behind a rock ahead of the path taken by the running mercenaries, Jia Yan moved his exhausted body slowly.

After running about two thousand miles, he wanted nothing more than to rest.

But now was not the time for that!

He had personally killed half of the mercenaries who had hurt Father Jia!

Now only three were left!

Especially that man named Yulong, who must be the man with the eastern facial features running at the front of the group!

If this man did not die, it could not be considered as revenge!

So Jia Yan would not give up at this point, even though he knew that if he continued to fight, he would highly likely be exposed!

The news helicopter above seemed to be disregarding police warnings because the battle was nearing its climax – it was hovering so close!

Jia Yan slowly moved his wings against the air and slowly rose into the air behind the rock!

Time was of the essence!

He needed to kill the remaining three mercenaries before the police and self-defense forces arrived!

Night was falling over the bleak rocky place, wrapping the whole area in its dark shroud!

There was an eerie silence.

No matter how one looked at it, there was a hair-raising atmosphere!

Especially when the running mercenaries saw two of their companions, who had already lost their breath, lying on the ground!

This wound was definitely inflicted by that monster!

It’s still around here!”

Upon seeing a comrade with pierced chest, Yulong’s face changed.

He seemed to remember how close he had come to being impaled by that giant mosquito monster!

Just ahead of their escape route, behind a rock formation!

The sound of flapping wings becomes clearer.

A blood-stained leg hovers in mid-air, peeking out from behind the rocks!

The three runners freeze mid-step!

Before their stunned gazes,

A gigantic black mosquito slowly materializes from bottom to top, reflected in their unbelieving pupils!

“Mon…

monster…”

The two Caucasian mercenaries, who didn’t believe Yu Long and his companion earlier, involuntarily pause in their stunned stupor.

Yu Long, too, freezes in dread!

They are so close to escaping from the rather incompetent Wa State Police and self-defense team!

But now, an unstoppable force has appeared!

Jia Yan emerges from behind the rocks like the final boss revealing its formidable form!

That form may not be particularly tall,

But it triggers us an equally immense shock!

Its over two-meter-long legs stretch out like thick branches in the air, utterly blocking their escape route!

Its compound eyes flash with a cold, eerie glow, causing shivers down their spine!

“Run, run, run!

Guns will be useless against it!”

Before Jia Yan even unfolds his wings, Yu Long starts yelling and running.

He’s already along the shoreline, and without considering the icy sea water, he charges into the sea!

He’d honestly rather swim than face the giant mosquito monster!

But how could Jia Yan let the ringleader escape so easily!

Whine!!!

The drone of the giant mosquito’s wings suddenly drowns out the rotating sound of the helicopter’s rotors in this area!

Its speed instantly reaches the critical point!

A gust of wind sweeps past its antennas.

The two aim their assorted firearms at the high-speed flying giant mosquito.

Sure, this monster looks formidable,

but is it possible that it possesses such an attribute?!

Impossible!

And thus, they defiantly fire!

Splat splat!

Jia Yan feels bullet after bullet slamming into his body slowing his advance!

Though his speed is initially hampered, his compound eyes flash with a strange light!

Knowing that time is of the essence, he has to avoid being sent flying by these bullets!

At least, not too far!

So, Jia Yan changes the angle of his wings as he flies!

His output power reaches its extreme!!!

Whine!!

The sound of his whirring wings merges into a terrifying scream, overpowering even the noise of the helicopter in the sky!

His form, under the great force of his flapping wings, is remarkably unaffected by the bullets!

He only retreats by less than ten meters before stabilizing!

The cold gaze in Jia Yan’s compound eyes grows more intense!

Whine!!!
