Chapter 997: Off to His Room

Chapter 997: Chapter 997: Off to His Room

Arabella wanted to eat with Ferdinand while he was here.

"Alright, where would you like to eat? In the dining hall, or where would you like it?" Ferdinand asked next.

"Will you dine with me?" Arabella inquired just for sure.

"Of course," Ferdinand smiled and held her hand.

"That’s good then," Arabella beamed.

She thought about it, and since she would be dining with Ferdinand, it must be somewhere comfortable where they could converse openly without worrying about what others would say.

’Should we have it in my room?’

In her room, she could also lessen the heavy layers of clothes she was wearing or change into more comfortable clothing.

"I’d prefer it in my room. Or perhaps in yours. I haven’t seen your room here yet," Arabella realized it as she said it.

In her past life, she never saw Ferdinand’s room.

Now, they had been married for months, and they had gone through spring, summer, and fall. Yet, she still hadn’t been in his room once.

Realizing it, she wanted things to be different in this life in almost everything she knew from her past.

"I think I’d prefer it in your room. If it’s alright with you, of course," Arabella said.

"My room? Sure. But I don’t think you’ll like it there. My room is quite simple and boring, unlike yours," Ferdinand warned her, so she would not expect much.

[I’m glad she’s interested in seeing it, but there’s nothing much to see in my room. Maybe it’s even dusty since I haven’t been sleeping there. Did my butlers maintain it while I was away?]

Ferdinand always slept in her room when he was around and usually only used his changing room and bathroom, but never his inner bedroom, ever since they began sleeping together in the room, even if they don’t do the deed.

"It’s alright. I just want to see it. I’ve never been in your room here, so I’m curious," Arabella smiled teasingly at her blushing husband.

"Alright. Let’s head there then, but would you like to change into more comfortable clothes first?" Ferdinand offered.

"Yes, please."

They then dropped by her room, and Arabella changed into a warm, comfortable dress and shoes.

Meanwhile, Ferdinand informed Alfredo about their dinner arrangement.

When Arabella was done changing, they finally walked to Ferdinand’s room.

His room back in Estrella was so spacious. The design there was elegant but simple.

When Arabella first arrived here, her room was also decorated simply and elegantly. But it looked rather cold. They did touch up flower vases here and there.

When Arabella had settled, it took Aletha and her maids quite a while to redecorate to make her room look as cozy and warm as it was now.

It even caused quite a lot of debates and fights between Carla, Irene, and Renee back then.

"We’re here," Ferdinand said as they stood in front of his door. Before he opened the door, he warned nervously, "Please, don’t expect much."

"I won’t," Arabella assured him. Yet, he was still nervous as they entered.

Arabella looked at the first part. It was the receiving room.

It had the same layout as hers, but Ferdinand’s room was wider. Raymond did say that for personal rooms, Ferdinand’s room was the widest, not only because he was the Emperor but because, as dragons, they were used to having wide rooms in case they transformed to their dragon form (though it’s something they won’t do here).

Arabella’s room was the second widest, of course.

The receiving room had the usual amenities, tables and chairs in one area for a meeting, and a coffee table and couch in another.

There were no potted plants or flower vases whatsoever, like in Arabella’s room.

The design was indeed simple but elegant, just like his room in Estrella.

There was a door in the middle leading to Ferdinand’s inner room, which was his bedroom. Meanwhile, there were side doors on the left and right of the receiving room.

"The door on this side leads to my study," Ferdinand said, opening the side doors and showing it to her.

It indeed led to his study.

Arabella had visited him in this study in the past, but probably just once to three times.

Ferdinand used his study more than his bedroom.

He then led her to the other connecting doors.

"This door leads to my changing room," Ferdinand said as he opened it and guided her inside.

Ferdinand’s changing room did not have as many clothes as she did, but it still had a lot of clothes. Mostly, there are a lot of copies in one style and color. Even if Ferdinand wore the same style and color for a week, he would not run out since there were several of each made.

Alwin’s loyalty and devotion to him were easy to tell since with this much clothes Ferdinand had, all of it was imbued with his magic.

Arabella looked around the changing room and noticed another door on the side.

"That leads to the bathroom," Ferdinand said when he noticed her gaze.

He opened the door and showed a wide bath even wider than hers.

She thought her bath was already uselessly wide, but this was even wider.

Ferdinand could even swim here if he wished, since the bath was deep and wide enough as a pool.

Arabella would be scared to be in it, though, since the water would be above her head.

The water in her bath was shallow because they had warned Ferdinand before their marriage that she had almost drowned when she was a child and had a fear of drowning again.

Thus, Arabella couldn’t even swim.

Alwin said that after the meeting with her parents, who informed them about her fear, they had her bath made shallow.

Now, the deepest part was just up to her neck when sitting down. And the part with the cute tub she could lie on was even shallower, so she won’t drown even if she falls asleep while dipping.

Ferdinand’s bath was a bit much for her. Just the thought of being submerged in it scared her.

"I’ll show you my bedroom next," Ferdinand said when he noticed her shiver while looking at his bath.

"Yes, I think that’s a good idea," Arabella quickly turned around.
