Chapter 924: Chapter 924: Invited to the Elves’ Abode
Arabella had an ultimate comeback at Alwin.
[Oh, right... I almost forgot she’s partly an elf.]
{Fine. But don’t try anything funny.}
{I won’t.}
Convincing Alwin was solved. Next would be her husband.
"I’d love to, but..." Arabella glanced at Ferdinand. "I can, right?"
She asked with hopeful eyes.
[How can I say no when she does this?]
"Alright. But I’ll go with you," Ferdinand agreed, albeit he must be with her.
"Wait. Your Majesty, the youngsters won’t be able to stand your mana," Alvis reminded.
"It should be fine if I go in this body," Ferdinand reasoned.
[Alvis is loyal to his wife.
But there are still unwed elves there who might fall for her.
I won’t give them a chance to approach her with ulterior motives.]
’Haha. Who would dare approach the mate of a primordial dragon?’
Arabella wanted to remind her husband that to the long-lived races, she reeked of his mana so they wouldn’t even think about approaching her with romantic interest.
"Ah, right. It should be fine. But please, please still control your mana while you’re there," Alvis warned.
"I will."
"Thank you!" Arabella beamed at her husband.
[She really likes the elves.
I guess it can’t be helped since she also has their blood.
It should be good for her to visit them.]
"You came here because of what happened.
Alwin is awake and well now.
What are you planning to do after this?" Raymond asked Alvis.
"I’ll be going to Lobelius.
There’s someone I must visit," Alvis replied.
"Oh, do you mean the elves settling there?
Her Majesty’s relatives," Raymond glanced at Arabella and Alwin.
"Yes, I can feel Satara’s life waning.
She recovered a bit when Alwin shared some of his mana.
However, her branch had wilted, so I’m going to ask her to head to Estrella.
Her children as well.
They’ll be able to recover there greatly. It would help extend their lifespan.
It’s still too early for them to die," Alvis replied with a saddened expression.
Alvis did not know Satara was one of Alwin’s nannies since Alwin’s parents lived separately when Alwin’s mother got pregnant.
Thus, even when Alvis knew about Satara’s existence, Satara was not directly informed when they learned Alwin was alive, especially since she had chosen to live in the human realm.
They thought the news would spread on its own among all the long-lived races in due time.
However, Elder Satara did not maintain connections with the long-lived races who stayed in Valeria since she was in mourning for a long time and did not want to be bothered.
Thus, she was not bothered as she wanted, and ended up not learning about the news regarding Alwin.
Thankfully, Arabella’s visit to Lobelius last time helped them meet again, and she learned of her ancestry.
They learned about Elder Satara’s children and grandchildren as well who could still prolong their lives if they headed to Estrella.
After all, with their population greatly lessened they did not want it diminishing more and any addition was very much welcomed.
Further, Elder Satara was Alwin’s nanny. She was loyal to the royal family even when she almost died.
Likewise, her reason for punishing herself and staying in the human realm was because she thought Alwin had died.
Now that they both know Alwin is alive and well, and Elder Satara and her kin can rest assured that Lobelius will be safe, they can go to Estrella without worries.
Elder Satara was still undecided about returning to Estrella.
However, Alvis might be able to convince her it was time to go and recover instead of accepting premature death.
After all, if Elder Satara wanted to see Arabella’s children as she said, she needed to live longer.
In the past, Arabella and Ferdinand only had Fermin while they were in the human realm.
It may be because they did not get along well back then and misunderstood each other. But it could also mean because their other children would be born in Estrella once they have retired.
Arabella will not age quickly since Ferdinand’s mana will slow her aging.
Thus, it’s not impossible for her to give birth even when she’s older than her age when she died in her past life.
The children Elder Satara said she saw in Arabella’s future may be born a long way from now.
’They looked adorable even if I could not see their faces yet...’
"What are you thinking about?" Ferdinand suddenly asked, and Arabella was dragged back to the present.
[She had a smile on her face as if she was thinking of something good. Something she cherishes a lot.]
"Oh, I just recalled our visit to Lobelius last time," Arabella did not say it since the two of them had agreed not to have children yet.
If she told Ferdinand about it, he might change his mind and decide to have children now, just so they could meet their children sooner.
"Ah, would you like to visit again?" Ferdinand asked, gently rubbing her hand.
"Maybe after several months," Arabella knew there was a lot of work for them to do, so the visit was not possible at the moment.
"I see. Then, shall we make it an official visit this time?"
[If it’s after several months, then we’d be married for more than a year by then.
It’s the right time to visit and make the official announcement about the joint military training.
Ah, and I’d have ample time to think of gifts for her family.
Her parents might still be in Medius, but I should also prepare gifts for them.
What would be good to bring for them?]
Ferdinand began planning their future visit.
After a few minutes of walking, they finally reached the receiving room where the Pope and his comrades were.
"Is everyone ready?" Raymond asked.
"Yes," all of them answered in unison.
Raymond and Rendell then opened the door for them.
The Pope and Cassandra were seated while chatting with Riley.
They immediately rose when the door opened.
Cassandra joined the Paladins who were standing behind the Pope.
