"How can he be so young? Now that some of my memories and abilities are back, I can feel his mana. It’s so powerful as if he was so much older than me. His presence feels more like a dragon indeed instead of an elf," Evania was confused and did not want to believe it.

[This can’t be. I am so much older than he was. He can already be considered as my child. I’m not like Chester who could simply sleep with women of any age. What should I do?! If I chase after Alwin, it’s like I’m following Chester’s example.]

For Evania, she wanted her interest to be older than she was, not the other way around because of Chester’s womanizing habits she had watched for years.

Chester usually preyed on women younger than he was which was why Evania did not want to be the same with him.

It was quite sad for Evania to still be affected by Chester that much despite her most recent memories of Umbra already back. It spoke volumes of her trauma from her ex-husband.

"When His Eminence was just a toddler, his parents died during the Great War, and he was saved by His Majesty," Arabella began to clarify.

Evania already knew Ferdinand was a Primordial Dragon and that Arabella was his mate since she felt the presence of one from Arabella right when she woke up and asked Darcus and Orpheus about it.

"Since he was traumatized by the events, he did not trust anyone else. Thus, His Majesty had to raise him."

[The Great Primordial did?!]

[No wonder his scent and presence closely resembled that of the Great Primordial.]

Arabella had heard about such claims before too.

"He was raised by a dragon instead of his own kind. As such, he learned dragon magic first before he learned the magic of the elves. This was why his presence felt more like that of a dragon."

[I wish I could have learned the magic of the dragons. And it was even one of the Great Primordials who taught him.] Orpheus, who was also a magician, was envious.

[I’m not that interested in other kinds of magic, but I wish I could have learned about combat magic from the dragons themselves. They are the best at it.] Darcus also wished he could have learned from a dragon.

"He was also an avid and fast learner and quickly increased his mana as he grew up. His Eminence is a rare talent highly valued by everyone," Arabella explained.

She felt proud as if Alwin was her child even though he wasn’t. It was as if he was bragging about him.

She hoped Alwin would also speak positively about her when speaking with someone else even if he constantly had a lot of complaints about her.

"If he was just a toddler during the Great War, then he is young indeed," Evania pouted.

[And since he is that talented, he must have a lot of marriage prospects. If Lady Blanca was indeed his fiancée, she must be quite capable.]

Evania bit her lip when she recalled Blanca.

"Yes, he is still a child. His elders always call him one," Arabella agreed to make Evania back off.

"I, I see," Evania was sullen.

It would have been fine if Alwin was human, they would not apply age difference since human lives were short by nature.

But since Alwin was an elf who was among the kind in the long-lived races that had the longest lives, Evania was bothered by his young age.

[It seems I can only admire him from afar and watch him grow. He’s too young for me. Orpheus is exactly the opposite of Alwin’s features but they have the same body type. I should be content with him. He’s my official fiancé too.]

’Oh my, does this mean, Evania is going with her official fiancé? She’s going to follow her father’s will this time?!’

Arabella glanced at Darcus and Orpheus. She wondered if living as Queen Evelyn for years affected that decision since Evania came to understand the importance of their duties and responsibilities as a ruling family.

’Should I ask the heavy question? Would I not sound like I am meddling too much?’

But Arabella needed to know if Evania was truly giving up on Alwin and choosing between her lover and her fiancé since it may affect their future.

’I must ask.’

"Oh, by the way, have you asked her that question?" Arabella inquired at their two guests when they became more relaxed in their conversation.

Darcus and Orpheus flinched. They glanced at each other and shook their head. They were embarrassed and nervous to ask about that question now especially after Evania showed much interest in Alwin and was sullen about his age.

"What question?" Evania tilted her head.

"Ah, the question they asked you before trying to recover your memories," Arabella reminded.

She wanted to know how Evania would respond. Hopefully, she would not choose Alwin over the two.

"Oh, that..." Evania glanced at Darcus and Orpheus who were both looking forward to her answer but likewise nervous at what she would say.

{You ask this time. I asked earlier.} Orpheus passed it to Darcus.

Orpheus did not want to be the one asking a preposterous question again.

[What if she chooses Alwin over us? What if she chooses Orpheus over me?] Darcus was hesitant.

"Uhm, we are not rushing you, Your Highness. We simply want to hear your opinion. You can think about it more deeply later. We are just curious. With the memories you have recovered, who do you choose between us? Or do you prefer someone else?"

Darcus conquered his fears and asked since they were already on the topic. They may not have the chance or the courage to ask it later.

[Eh?! That’s quite a difficult question.] Evania gazed at the two alternately. The answer was not instant.

Darcus and Orpheus both fixed their postures and tried to look their best though it was obvious they tensed up as Evania gazed at them and was evaluating them in her mind.
