Chapter 520: I Will Head to Umbra

"Please remember what King Elrond said. This is Her Majesty’s last life. No matter how long you wait, she will not be reincarnated in this world again. If you want to keep watching over her, you only have this life remaining. If you spend decades in Umbra, Her Majesty may no longer be alive when you return," Raymond added, and Ferdinand paled.

’Eh? It’s my last reincarnation?!’ Arabella blinked repeatedly at what she heard. ’What’s that supposed to mean?’

. . .

Arabella woke up alone in bed.

She felt like she had a long dream, but she could not remember the rest.

She could only remember the start. It was about Ferdinand meeting with everyone and Raymond volunteering to search for Alwin.

’Raymond mentioned that King Elrond said this is my last life. My last reincarnation. So, does that mean, there would be no one else who would have Ellie’s soul after me? Alwin and Ferdinand did say a soul could stop reincarnating.’

Arabella pondered over it for a while until she recalled more of Raymond’s words.

’Did that mean Ferdinand allowed me to be with Icarus because he thought he could meet me again in my next life? But King Elrond informed him later that I won’t have a next life?’

Arabella glanced at the empty space beside her and touched the bedding. It was cold. Ferdinand had not returned yet.

She checked the time. It was an hour past midnight.

’His other meetings must have taken longer.’

Arabella got out of bed and did a bit of stretching. Her stomach growled.

’Right. I didn’t even eat before sleeping.’

She simply thought she would take a short nap while waiting for Ferdinand so they could eat together. But she went and slept for hours. And Ferdinand wasn’t back yet.

’I guess I’ll eat on my own.’

She cleaned up and got dressed on her own since Aletha and Eunice were likely asleep now.

But Alfredo must have remained awake since she had not eaten her meal yet. Thankfully, he was an Estrellian, so he did not need to sleep every night.

’Aletha complained one time about Alfredo asking her to teach him until midnight, and likely even until the next morning, more about Lobelian cuisine even though she already taught him all day. He forgot Aletha needed to sleep.’

Arabella was about to head to the kitchen when she suddenly felt Ferdinand’s presence.

’He’s back!’ she perked up and checked herself in the mirror, one last time. She bathed and dressed herself so she had to recheck her dress and hair were done well.

She looked presentable enough. He had seen her messy, sweaty, and all but she couldn’t help but feel self-conscious around him anyway.

She even fixed her posture.

’Wait, did I just puff out my chest more than usual? It’s like I’m screaming for him to notice there was a change in my body.’ Arabella stopped herself from laughing and did her usual posture again.

Ferdinand would surely notice later anyway so there was no need to make him notice it now.

’Geez. It’s like I’m screaming for attention.’

Ferdinand’s presence drew closer and after a few moments, he teleported into the room.

"Arabella, you’re awake. I thought you were already asleep," Ferdinand was surprised to see her fully dressed and her hair tied instead of sleeping in bed.

"I was. But I woke up after sleeping so soundly for hours. I was feeling hungry so I thought I would head to the dining hall."

"Oh, right. Let’s eat go eat together. I heard you were waiting for me. I’m sorry it took longer than I thought," Ferdinand wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her in.

He gave her a peck on the forehead and took a whiff of her hair.

"You smell good," Ferdinand wrapped her in both arms and gave her a squeeze. He kept inhaling at her hair and down to her nape.

"Ferdinand," Arabella chided. She knew where this would lead. But she’s hungry for food right now. "Let’s eat first."

"Then, give me a kiss first," Ferdinand asked, and Arabella couldn’t help but smile.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a peck on the lips.

"Not enough," Ferdinand complained.

Arabella gave him another. But the way he looked told her he wanted more so she gave consecutive pecks.

"Still not enough," Ferdinand said and captured her lips when she was about to talk. He wanted a deep kiss, with tongues and all that, but didn’t do it. He wanted her to do it.

"Kiss me," he demanded.

’What’s with him?’ Arabella giggled. ’He’s so cute.’

"Was your meeting exhausting?"

That’s the only reason she knew he would act like this after returning.

"Yes," Ferdinand gave her another peck and waited for her to kiss him.

Arabella cupped his face and stared deep into his eyes. He does look tired. It wasn’t obvious in his body posture since he was always healthy and strong thanks to being a dragon. But mental and emotional exhaustion were different.

She caressed his lower lip with her thumb, and he gulped.

"Don’t tease me," Ferdinand complained.

"Sorry," Arabella gave him a peck before kissing him how he wanted it.

And as she expected, when they began kissing with tongue, Ferdinand got so into it and didn’t want to stop. He got a hard-on too.

’This is exactly why I just gave him pecks,’ Arabella thought as she felt her back against the bed.

She ended up getting pushed down the bed with some of Ferdinand’s weight on her body.

His kisses turned sensual and hungry, and he was rubbing his erection on her.

’It feels good. How can I resist if he’s like this? Geez. I went through all the effort to fix my hair and dress up too. I should have just worn my bathrobe.’

"Can we, do it? Just once," Ferdinand asked with begging eyes. "I swear, I’ll really stop with just once."

Arabella was hungry for food earlier. But with Ferdinand like this, she couldn’t resist the temptation either.

"Alright," she wrapped her legs around his waist.

Ferdinand grinned and gave her a thank-you kiss.

He easily undid her clothes after all the trouble she went putting it on all alone. He had gotten used to untying the ribbons and undoing her corset.

He even untied her hair ties without accidentally pulling on some of her hair.

"So beautiful," Ferdinand licked his lips after undressing her completely.

Arabella had heard those words from so many people. But it sounded most sincere from his lips and with the way his eyes gazed at her. The way he praises her makes her feel genuinely pretty.

If this was indeed her last life and her last encounter with Ferdinand, she must maximize it and enjoy everything she could with him. Since once this life ends, they will never meet again. She might cease to exist entirely.

Her heart ached at the thought that he would be someone else’s lover in his next lives or after she was gone.

She didn’t want him to be anyone else’s. She wanted him to be just hers. In the past, the present, and even the future.

But she didn’t want him to live his next lives all alone either. Even if it makes her heart ache just thinking about it, this is the only Ferdinand she can have. His future and his next lives may not be hers, but this Ferdinand is hers.

And so, she had to cherish him more.

Arabella kissed her husband aggressively, tempting him to hasten it. She wanted him to fill her soon. To feel him fill her completely. Feel him with all of her.

Ferdinand was surprised and delighted at the same time. He loved how she was the one in a hurry when he was the one who got aroused first.

Instead of doing it just once, Arabella was the one who initiated to keep doing it.

They went for several rounds until Arabella could no longer move.

"I loved that," Ferdinand kissed her lovingly.

"I did too," Arabella grinned even though she could barely lift a finger.

Ferdinand gave her a kiss and had the food delivered to their door and brought it in so she wouldn’t have to dress up again.

"Are you alright?" He healed her so she could sit up and eat.

"Yes. Your healing is so effective," Arabella grinned and retrieved a dress to cover herself.

She felt Ferdinand’s eyes on her the whole time. He would have attacked her again if he didn’t know he had already pushed her.

That was exactly why she had to cover herself. He would get tempted again if she remained exposed.

She felt too lazy to dress up, so she used a robe instead. She knew Ferdinand would undress her again later anyway.

They wolfed down on the food after all their exhausting yet pleasurable activity.

After they were done eating, Ferdinand told her something that made her realize why she had that dream about the past.

"I will be heading to Umbra to search for Alwin," Ferdinand informed her, and Arabella gulped.

She couldn’t tell him to go so easily after she had that dream. She wanted Alwin to be found soon too. But how long would Ferdinand be gone?

Didn’t Raymond say that the time in Umbra was flowing differently?
