Chapter 1015: Chapter 1015: It Makes it More Memorable
Arabella wished all normal people in Valeria could experience this as well.
A quality of life where they did not need to fret whether they could eat fresh food or not, or be able to afford sugar or salt and other ingredients.
Meanwhile, Ferdinand sighed in relief as he watched her eat one ball to another until she had cleaned the stick. He was even worried she might not know how to eat from a stick.
[I see... She must have indeed tried eating food like this in Lobelius. And she does seem to like it sweet and spicy. I thought she would choose the sweet sauce. It seems she likes it with a hint of spiciness.]
Perhaps it was the mood here or simply the freshness. This food somehow tasted even better than the ones she had tried in Riva or Lobelius in her past life.
"Mm~ I’m really loving these! Please give me three more sticks," Arabella asked the blushing seller.
"Yes, m’lady!"
[A gorgeous noble lady just praised my food and she says she loves it! I’ll brag about this to my family!]
The seller quickly prepared Arabella’s order.
Once hers was ready, Alwin came next and Rendell and Ferdinand had some again too.
This was the first time in a while that Arabella ate while standing and without worrying about manners.
They all like the food from this stall so they ended up buying a lot and Alwin stored it in a magic tool that will keep it warm and fresh.
They also planned to let Alfredo taste it so he would try making it as well.
They went from stall to stall trying the local food and had Alwin pack some of the ones they liked.
By the time they were done tasting the foods that looked appetizing to them, it was already sunset.
They rested at an area with a good view of the sunset and watched it together while drinking tea.
It was a beautiful and calming sight perfect for tea time after eating a lot of food.
All of them were already too full for dinner as well since they splurged on the food.
The locals do not always sell some of the ones sold today, so they ate quite a lot of those even had some packed.
After the sunset, Ferdinand said, "It’s getting dark. We should return soon. Have you bought all the souvenirs you need?"
"Yes," Arabella responded with a satisfied smile.
This was probably one of their best dates. They experienced various things together in a single day.
"Then, shall we head back to the palace?" Ferdinand inquired in case there was something else she wanted here.
Arabella had bought everything she wanted, so she said, "Yes, let’s head back."
Alwin then teleported them back to the Imperial Palace.
Arabella was grateful it was right outside her room since she realized her feet were aching.
They had done a lot of walking in the southern territory they visited.
Thankfully, she was wearing comfortable boots instead of heeled shoes.
"Does your feet hurt? Shall we have it healed?" Ferdinand inquired.
He noticed that her footsteps changed when compared to how it was when they just began walking.
"It’s alright. I think it will be gone after a hot bath. This feeling is part of today’s activity so I’d like to feel it a bit more," Arabella replied.
It felt rewarding on its own to feel a bit of discomfort because she did something today that she does not usually do.
Ferdinand eyed her with concern but since she refused healing, he did not insist.
"You two can rest," Ferdinand then dismissed Alwin and Rendell.
Once she was back in her room, Arabella immediately sat down on the couch and tried to remove her booths to make her feet more comfortable.
It was tied tighter than she thought so Ferdinand helped her out of her boots.
"Thank you!"
Once she was free of them, she settled her foot on the couch to relax them.
It felt so comfortable so she lay down on the couch.
"You just ate and drank some tea," Ferdinand reminded.
[And where should I sit? Does she not want me to sit beside her?]
Ferdinand eyed the lack of space for him on the same couch as if it meant kicking him out.
"Mm, but it feels good," Arabella felt sleepy as both fullness and exhaustion combined.
"At least sit down for a few minutes," Ferdinand said.
[Did it tire her this much? I forgot to consider that she doesn’t walk around for hours. Had she been holding back from saying she was already tired when we were still there? Maybe she did not enjoy it as much as I thought? What if she actually did not enjoy our date?!]
Ferdinand began to overthink as he watched her keep lying on the couch.
Arabella sat up and patted the space beside her, "Sit down."
Ferdinand perked up upon seeing the space beside her as if it meant he was being welcomed.
He sat beside her and Arabella gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"I love our date today. I saw things I had never seen in person before and we experienced a lot of things together for the first time," Arabella praised.
"Really? Even if it exhausted you?" Ferdinand eyed her to make sure she was being honest and not making him feel better.
"Yes," Arabella smiled. "It’s a part of the date that makes it even more memorable."
She did not mind getting a bit tired if it’s on things like this.
After all, they were always so busy that even if they were together, they often talked about work.
It was nice to have talked about other things entirely and experienced things normal people could.
"Thank you for planning and preparing today! It was fun," Arabella said wholeheartedly.
Ferdinand hugged her and said, "I’m the one who is grateful. I also had fun today. And I’m so glad and relieved you enjoyed it too."
Arabella settled her head on his chest as they talked lazily about random things while resting.
They did not have dinner since they were already full.
After bathing separately, they retired in bed together and simply slept.
