Since as far as the people knew, the Emperor’s bloodline was always able to father children.

Arabella had a lot of siblings though so there was clearly no problem with her family line.

Thus, the people concluded that it would either be because Arabella had health problems or she was not compatible with Ferdinand.

Since as far as the people knew, Ferdinand was consecutively away, they thought that perhaps, one reason was also because Arabella already lost his favor.

The rumors continue to grow wild from there with all sorts of conclusions the people were going to.

Arabella was not worried though since she knew the truth.

However, her maids were getting concerned. They were worried that someday, she might end up feeling depressed or overwhelmed due to the pressure from the people.

"Don’t worry about the rumors. All of those would die down soon. Ferdinand and I will attend social events this winter. Take care of the preparations for the tea parties instead since I will be attending and conducting a lot," Arabella said.

She smiled reassuringly to her maids.

"Yes, Your Majesty! We will ensure all your outfits will be outstanding!"

"We have gathered the best decorations for the parties, Your Majesty will hold as well!"

Carla and Irene immediately cheered up.

Blanca simply played along, Eunice silently agreed, and Aletha smiled warmly.

[I’m glad Her Majesty’s maids from here had also grown close to her. Her Majesty had also grown so mature and confident. She will be fine here even without me.]

’Eh?! What does this mean?! Is Aletha leaving my side?’

Arabella glanced at Aletha and wanted to ask about it but the mood right now was not fit for suddenly asking about it.

She had just cheered up Carla and Irene. If she asked Aletha now if she had plans to leave her, the two would get depressed again.

Blanca and Eunice had also gotten close with Aletha already.

Ah, and Alfredo as well. Aletha had been teaching Alfredo more Lobelian cuisine and they seem to have gotten close from there.

If possible, Arabella wanted Aletha to stay by her side a bit more.

But then again, Aletha was not young anymore.

Arabella knew she should not stop Aletha if the latter wanted to leave after noting all the changes and improvements over the past few months.

Aletha already helped her a lot just with her presence.

And upon arrival, Aletha helped improve Arabella’s living conditions from then on.

Aletha had already been a great help and comfort to her.

Thus, Arabella decided to wait patiently until Aletha would inform her about it.

When Arabella got out of her dressing room, Ferdinand was waiting in her receiving room.

He was reading some documents and had a serious look on his face.

Upon hearing the connecting door to her dressing room open, he looked up.

His eyes instantly lit up when he saw her.

"Arabella," Ferdinand beamed.

He quickly walked to her and gave her a big hug.

This was exactly why she said he’s like a teddy bear. He’s her big cuddly and huggy bear.

The gentle glow in his eyes as he looks at her, and his warm gentle yet firm hugs were more than enough proof that all the rumors circulating have no truth in them.

Ferdinand still cherishes her, and more so than he did before.

"Good morning! You look even more beautiful than usual," Ferdinand noted.

[Her look today is different from yesterday, is it because she’s not working today? She looks softer and more adorable today. Or is it just me?]

Ferdinand noticed there was a difference but did not notice it was because of her makeup and choice of clothes today.

As if the hug was not enough, Ferdinand kissed her forehead.

[Oh, my shampoo and soap on her is gone.]

Ferdinand internally complained but sneakily took another whiff of her hair anyway.

Last night, he said that his shampoo and soap smelled strangely alluring on her. He said the scent turned out different when mixed with her natural scent and he loved it.

[Ah, this scent still suits her best though.]

In the end, he still preferred her usual scent.

"Oh my thank you! Good morning, too! Is your work done?" Arabella glanced at the document he was reading earlier.

It was not abandoned on the table.

"Yes, I was just reading that for leisure. I’ve done all the urgent work. I thought I’d be back with you before you woke up but the morning court took longer than I thought," Ferdinand explained.

He felt bad he was not with her when she woke up. Especially after spending a steamy night together in his room.

Arabella smiled and hugged him as she said, "It’s alright."

They were not just a normal couple after all.

They had responsibilities they must do as Emperor and Empress.

Always waking up together is a dream they would likely only achieve once they fully retire in Estrella.

Still, it felt good that Ferdinand tries to do it and even apologizes instead of doing it like it was the norm because of their status.

Ferdinand sighed in relief when he noticed Arabella was not upset about it.

"I’m glad I made it before lunch. Are you hungry?" he inquired.

"Yes," Arabella replied honestly.

She was glad Ferdinand was one who preferred it if she ate properly.

After all, there were a lot of noble ladies who must pretend not to be hungry or had no appetite even if they did because of what their husband or the people around them expected them to be.

Arabella was grateful Ferdinand was unlike some nobles who didn’t like their wives eating more than others did or gaining some weight.

It was a cruel truth that there were husbands who only cared about what they could parade and brag about to other people.

Maintaining image for people like them was indeed important, but their health even more so.
