Rebirth Of The Noble Mage Behind The Scenes -
Chapter 84 The Shadow of the Past
Chapter 84: Chapter 84 The Shadow of the Past
Following the perspective of an ancient existence whose name we do not know, Anvis’s gaze moved from the corridor and entered the basement of the previously collapsed house.
Unlike the dilapidated state millions of years later, the surrounding walls and furnishings were brand new and shining, seemingly built not long ago.
"Antinoya, is that you?"
It seemed that an abnormal noise was heard in the basement, and a voice as beautiful and melodious as crystal wind chimes came through.
A small door at the top of the basement opened, and a tiny elf girl stood cutely at the entrance, backlit by light.
High Elf language?
A thought condensed in Anvis’s mind.
Although the name was only a bit different from the Elf language, it was the true ancient Magic Language.
"Why did you come so late today?"
Upon seeing the figure of ’Anvis,’ the girl immediately showed a delighted expression.
Raising her hand to comb her light golden, slightly curly hair, her two translucent and adorable pale pointed ears moved, and she eagerly approached him, plunging into his arms for a passionate hug.
Unfortunately, there was no feeling—the stone slab only synchronized vision and hearing.
From the moment the elf girl appeared in sight, Anvis acutely sensed something unusual about her.
She carried a strange aura that seemed somewhat out of place with the rest of the environment.
It couldn’t be mistaken, this aura... was Pekara.
So, does everyone receive a different perspective?
"Stop fooling around, Miyali—"
The girl known as Antinoya spoke softly, her tone bearing a slight distress and shyness.
But she did not pull away from the girl’s hug, instead gently touching her light golden hair with her small hand.
From this perspective, ’Antinoya’ seemed a bit taller than the smaller elf girl in front of her, but not by much.
Wait, am I also a girl?
Anvis fell into contemplation.
The real situation seemed somewhat inconsistent with his previous conjecture that "a High Elf noble used this passage to have a secret rendezvous with a secret lover."
.........
"However, Antinoya, there’s a question I’ve wanted to ask for a long time."
"Since you can teleport directly into the secret chamber, why did you build such a long corridor? Can’t you just build a Teleportation Array in my basement?"
After snuggling for a while in the soft embrace of Antinoya, Miyali raised her small head, her expression puzzled.
"Oh, that..."
Watching the girl’s clear, light golden eyes in her arms, Antinoya’s voice took on a hint of embarrassment.
"Actually, I’m not very proficient in Space Magic, and the time-space anchor of the Array has never been able to connect with the Teleportation Array, so I took a shortcut.
I modified the spatial positioning grid of the Array’s core and attempted to use the low-frequency resonance between the second state ripples proposed by Alanis Nair.
Directly in normal space-time, I entangled the time-space information between the Teleportation Array and the positioning grid.
In the end, it worked, but the stability of this resonance directly relates to the temporal and spatial distance between the two Arrays."
"Only at this distance can I ensure that the stability of the space-time connection does not drop below 80%, so..."
Miyali’s eyes widened in surprise, her rosy little mouth slightly agape, an incredulous expression spreading across her soft face.
"Establishing a space-time connection within normal space-time! You are a genius, Antinoya!"
Anvis couldn’t see the expression on the girl named Antinoya, but could see her pausing for a moment as she stroked the hand of the elf girl in her arms, most likely feeling a bit shy from the girl’s praise.
"It’s lucky everyone has moved away, otherwise I wouldn’t dare to dig such a long tunnel..."
Antinoya softly explained a couple of sentences, then gently patted the girl in her arms.
"Alright, Miyali, let’s head out from here first."
"Okay, where are we going to play today? I took half a box of coins and half a box of Demon Crystals from my father’s storeroom; it should be enough for our pocket money for the next month."
Miyali obediently let go of her and then grasped her slender hand, leading her towards the door.
Allowing the elf girl’s small hand to guide her, Antinoya thought for a moment.
"Today, let’s go to the Observation Tower. My father mentioned that they have noticed some strange relics on the surface of Amis."
"Strange relics on the surface of Amis?"
The girl’s interest was immediately piqued, her tone laced with intense curiosity.
"Yes, according to my father, those relics look very odd, as if they were constructed by some unknown gigantic creatures and are incredibly ancient and full of vicissitude..."
While chatting amiably, the two girls stepped out of the room.
The moment the door opened, the pure sunlight from millions of years ago fell into Anvis’s eyes.
In the era when the High Elves lived, the city was still situated on the surface—
The streets were quiet and elegant, paved with huge white rocks, lined by buildings filled with a blend of natural and mysterious aura, tastefully and orderly extending into the distance.
In six directions of the city, six elegant and imposing tall spires stood, with platinum surfaces shining with a dazzling luster.
Age-old verdant trees embodying nature perfectly and harmoniously integrated with the magnificent city built from rock. Strange plants grew everywhere in the city, with gorgeous butterflies dancing above the flowers, their wings shimmering splendidly in the sunlight.
Small animals occasionally ran down from the large trees, scampering across the stone paths in front of the elves. Chattering birds flew across the sky, casting a string of small shadows.
A pale blue fluffy little bird flapped its wings and landed directly on Miyali, who had just stepped out of the door, chirping crisply, showing no fear.
Miyali lovingly raised her finger and gently stroked the little bird on her shoulder twice. The bird comfortably closed its eyes, making pleasant chirping sounds.
Antinoya watched this warm and harmonious scene with a smile, the view was as sublime as a fairyland.
After stroking it twice, Miyali did not disturb the little bird on her shoulder any longer, letting it rest on its own. The two girls, while chatting pleasantly, hand in hand, walked toward the Central Square.
The Observation Tower was not far from the Elf Temple, located in the southwest of the Central Square, made entirely of pure white Cloud Radiant Rock, and was the tallest building in the city apart from the six Magic Towers.
"Antinoya, what do you think, where does Amis actually come from?"
Strolling through the square, Miyali craned her neck backward and took a glance at the sky above, her voice filled with curiosity.
"I do not know, but three months ago, when Lord Iniel Kristan first discovered it, it was located in Sector 9 of Star Domain 86, near the Ricotan Star System’s Secret Silver XII Star."
Influenced by her, Antinoya also looked up.
Between the azure sky and the white clouds, there rested a massive purple moon.
Unlike the era Anvis lived in, even though it was morning, the faint purple silhouette of Amis was still visible in the sky.
