Rebirth Of The Noble Mage Behind The Scenes
Chapter 233 - 8 Familiar Plot

Chapter 233: Chapter 8 Familiar Plot

The boy’s name was Jeb, with brown hair and light green eyes, a slightly larger nose, and a face dotted with small freckles.

Seeing the arrival of Anvis, a prodigy with an excellent reputation among the new students, he was quite welcoming.

In his view, Anvis was tantamount to a signature figure among this batch of newcomers.

Warm and polite, composed in manner, exceptionally capable in learning, and always strictly self-disciplined. He treated his fellow students equitably, never showing preferential treatment based on their abilities.

Seizing the opportunity, he eagerly sought Anvis’s guidance on some class material he didn’t quite understand.

Anvis was also happy to help a classmate, establishing his own persona while earning some cost-free goodwill.

Although unremarkable within the academy, outside its walls, each individual here was an exceptionally rare talent.

Once he secured his own territory in the future, he would need people to build his power base, and luring away some of these classmates to work for him was far better than finding outsiders.

Soon, the silver-glinting Floating Ship, like a colossal cloud whale, gracefully glided out from between white clouds, descending from the azure and distant sky, quietly docking at the airborne pier.

The hatch silently rose, and an Academy Mage stepped out into the air, standing by the side of the gangway.

Among the many new students disembarking the Floating Ship, Anvis immediately spotted Fiona’s figure.

She had already changed into her academy uniform and was draped in a pure black Magic Cloak, standing among the bustling crowd, blinking her lake-blue eyes with curiosity, looking around.

A white Crystal-like Magic Book hung at her waist, shimmering light gold hair waved slightly in the wind, and in her arms, she hugged the blue-gray kitten he had given her, appearing every bit the true ’Magic Girl’.

"Fei, over here——"

Anvis stood up, smiling and waving at her.

"Brother Anvis! Are you here to pick me up?"

Upon hearing Anvis’s voice, the girl turned her head, saw Anvis waving at her, and excitedly ran towards him with small steps, her petite boots making a pat-pat sound on the ground.

"Kate, come on, say hello——"

"Meow~"

Hearing her master’s command, the little female cat Kate raised her paw and meowed endearingly at Anvis.

Meanwhile, it seemed the change of posture made her shift in the girl’s arms, her soft pink pads seeking a foothold but ultimately finding none.

What disappointed the cat was, even though she had grown to an age to enter the academy, the girl’s body was still... that adorably cute size from when she was a child.

Looking at the girl who had approached him, Anvis tucked away the slightly impolite thoughts in his mind.

This beautiful scene of the young boy and girl standing side by side did make the surrounding crowd take notice.

If Anvis’s demeanor was like that of a divine incarnation walking amongst mortals, mild and noble, then Fiona’s bearing was like the pristine sunlight reflected on the petals of a snowfield’s quiet orchid, pure and untainted by the slightest speck of dust.

Due to their Legendary Bloodline, which bestowed them with Extraordinary Charm, they both were already exceptionally dazzling in the eyes of others. But now, as they stood together, they attracted the surrounding gazes as surely as a magnet draws iron filings.

However, among the surrounding gazes, there seemed to be one that carried a complex and Special significance.

Following the psychic sensation, Anvis turned his head to look.

The owner of that gaze was a boy with auburn hair and light black eyes, cheeks still showing a hint of baby fat, looking somewhat young and immature.

Seemingly not expecting to be noticed by Anvis, the boy was startled, and his gaze swiftly moved away in a bit of a fluster.

Who is this?

Anvis glanced at him curiously and thought for a moment, confirming that there was no memory of him whatsoever.

Fiona also noticed Anvis’s gaze and followed it to the boy. Holding a kitten in one arm, she cheerfully waved to the boy.

"Roche, you’re here too~"

Hearing the girl calling out to him, Roche could no longer pretend to be oblivious and approached with a slight blush on his face, looking a bit restrained.

"Fei, aren’t you going to introduce me to your new friend you met on the ship?"

Looking at the boy who was approaching, Anvis turned his head in confusion to Fiona.

"Brother, do you remember the legend of the Wind Bell Grass I once told you about, the one an old lady who sold woven grass told me? He is her grandson, his name is Roche."

Fiona spoke crisply, her voice as clear, light, and pleasing to the ear as crystal wind chimes.

At the same time, she turned to the approaching boy and introduced Anvis to him as well.

"Roche, this is my fourth brother who I told you about, the one who has grown up with me and is the closest to me, Anvis—"

"Roche...? Hello, Roche,"

Suppressing the confusion in his heart, Anvis smiled and greeted him warmly, displaying impeccable manners.

At the same time, a faint silver light flashed across the lens of his crystal monocular.

"Ah, hello! Brother Anvis...I mean, senior!"

After hearing Fiona’s introduction of Anvis, Roche’s eyes, which were originally somewhat complex and guarded, immediately warmed up.

Looking at Roche’s drastic change of attitude, Anvis realized what was going on.

Heh, another one smitten with my sister.

The thoughts of young boys are oh so predictable.

Fiona was oblivious to the psychological changes of the two boys; she chattered to Anvis about Roche’s background like a lively little bird.

"Roche just happens to be enrolling this year too. When I was dining in the restaurant on the floating ship, I bumped into him again.

He was very grateful for the string of berries I gave him last time, and he gave me a grass-woven owl he made himself. That grass owl is quite fascinating; it can fly on its own, just like it says in the books!"

"And then we chatted, and he told me his dream is..."

Listening to the girl’s story, an image of an indomitable young man began to take shape in Anvis’s mind.

Born into a humble background, yet holding grand aspirations.

While helping his grandmother sell woven grass, he encountered a noble young miss out in disguise for fun. The pure and kind young miss gave him a string of berries, and as a result, captured the boy’s heart.

Thereafter, he practiced his grass-weaving with even more effort and determination, all so he could see the beautiful lady again one day.

Fate favored the determined, and one day, while collecting grass for his weaving, he stumbled upon a miraculous chance encounter.

With the aid of this fortunate event, the commoner boy gained extraordinary talent, explosively passed the Professional’s test, entered the Empire College to drastically change his destiny, and just so happened to board the same ship as the young noble miss.

Well, doesn’t this plot sound so familiar?
