Chapter 192: Chapter 192 Dream Guide

The Sanctuary mentioned by Evonne was located deep underground. Its entrance was nothing more than an inconspicuous crack between several huge rocks, but there was a whole new world beneath it.

After traversing a twisted and prolonged fissure that extended deep into the earth, a spacious rock hall unfolded before everyone’s eyes.

The hall was rectangular, and its ancient granite inner walls were covered with rough and primitive bas-reliefs. The air was stagnant, filling the environment with a damp and musty odor characteristic of enclosed spaces.

Under the soft white light of the Candlelight Technique, the mica in the rock shone like stars, while the patterns of the reliefs cast uneven shadows of light and dark.

Engraved on them appeared to be massive bizarre creatures with conical bodies and tentacles for eyes.

On one side of the hall, there was a square window in the wall. Perhaps it once allowed sunlight to stream through, but now only dark, metamorphic granite remained.

——This relic seemed to be originally located on the surface, buried deep underground only after some violent geological changes.

Years later, newcomers discovered it from underground and excavated it, utilizing it as a Sanctuary.

As the old Explorer Baggsen had described, the thick layers of earth could significantly weaken the strength of the Curse Field.

In this hall, hundreds of meters below the ground, Anvis distinctly felt the power of the curse becoming much more tenuous.

If on the surface at night, he could only resist the erosion of the Curse Field for at most half a month, then here, he could persist for three months without being altered.

After lighting the bright blue-white Undying Bright Flame in the stone basins of the walls, Evonne casually snapped her fingers, and an invisible Magic Effect swept away the impurities in the air, making it as fresh as a meadow after the rain.

"Anvis, I need to first use a Secret Technique to transform the Undead Summoning, which will take about several Magic Time. You can start preparing for the Secret Magic Ceremony for Dream Entry, as well as the necessary Dream Guide,"

"Also, I need some special magic materials as an aid for the transformation ritual, which are..."

With her ice-blue eyes, Evonne turned towards the handsome youth in a long cloak, who was inspecting the environment of the hall, and began to describe the tasks she needed to undertake and her requirements.

"Okay."

Anvis nodded upon hearing Evonne’s list of required materials.

There was nothing too special, and his ring had all that was needed in stock.

"But Evonne, aren’t you going to attempt to reverse the gender transformation effect caused by the Destiny Parasite on you first?"

Changing the topic, Anvis showed concern for Evonne’s physical condition.

"I want to, but the conditions are not met right now."

The girl shook her head.

"Unless the Caster who performed the Destiny Parasite ritual is dealt with, it can only be forcibly removed through an extremely complicated ceremony over a long period of time. This island is not the best place for it."

As she spoke, Evonne moved to one corner of the room, setting up a Magic Barrier for privacy. With the help of the Magic Material provided by Anvis, she began to refine the body of the Seventh Rank Alien God believer whose soul had been erased.

Seeing this, Anvis signalled to Jom to stay on guard, and similarly began drawing an Array, preparing to create a ’Key’ to enter the island’s Dream Realm.

Standing in the midst of a large black triangular Ritual Array, Anvis carefully stamped out one Inscription after another with demonized metal liquid, controlled by his mind.

Once everything was ready, he took out the black-green Pendant he had acquired from a Seventh Rank Black Robed Priest and placed it underneath the triangular Ritual Array, in the center of an eye-shaped symbol.

Afterward, he moved himself to the concentric circle at another corner of the triangle and activated the completed Array.

The circuits of the Array emanated a bright, ethereal glow, and at the same time, Anvis held a bunch of sun-dried Loremane herbs in his hands and chanted a specific Dream Spell in a miraculous tone.

This type of vine was a very common Magic Plant, with ovate leaves and light purple blossoms, often growing in clusters in the lost Land of Dreams.

Dream Mages would collect and dry them for use as a primer for daily Dream Entry into the Dream World.

As the power of the Ritual Array took effect, the Loremane herbs in Anvis’s hand emitted a faint light. The black-green Purple Moon Pendant slowly melted into a slightly purplish black-green Demonized Metal Liquid, which flowed down into a pitch-black, eye-shaped symbol carved into the Array.

Thereafter, this shade of black-green traveled slowly along the path of the ritual circuit toward the final corner of the triangle.

At the end of the carved path, there was a key-shaped recess surrounded by dense Inscriptions.

Meanwhile, as it flowed, the original black-green color of the metal liquid gradually faded away. A dreamlike, indescribable color that shifted like candy was added to the metal’s basic shade.

As the ceremony continued, this glimmering metal liquid, without spilling a drop, flowed entirely into the recess.

Under the radiance of the silver light from the surrounding inscriptions, they slowly solidified, eventually hardening into a small Dream Key radiating a beautiful purple light.

This was the Dream Guide of the island, which, paired with a special Secret Magic Ceremony, could be used to open the gate to the Dream World.

Waving his hand to remove the formed key, Anvis took out his pocket watch to check the time.

Since the beginning of the ceremony, about three Magic Time had passed.

The Barrier in the corner was still in operation, and Evonne seemed not to have completed the transformation ceremony.

After waiting a while longer, just as the night fell upon the island, Evonne finally lifted the Barrier and stepped out.

Following behind her was a figure shrouded in a Black Robed Priest’s cloak, emitting a magic fluctuation close to that of a Seventh Rank.

"It seems a bit weak."

Anvis carefully examined the figure; in his Perception, though also quite oppressive, the aura emitted did not have the profound terror of a true Seventh Rank.

"We were too rushed for time; his original strength was barely Seventh Rank. Plus, due to inadequate conditions, we could only adopt a simplified transformation ceremony, so this is the best we could achieve," said Evonne with a hint of helplessness. She crossed her arms out of habit, then quickly released them, unaccustomed.

Noticing this detail, Anvis’s gaze turned slightly strange.

So why had her figure changed so drastically?

The next moment, as if nothing had happened, he changed the subject.

"The Dream Guide is ready. If there are no issues, then let’s prepare to set off immediately."

"Also, Evan, do you have any understanding of the environment of the Dream World on this island?"

Evonne nodded.

"I have briefly explored the Dream World of this island before. Once we enter the island’s Dream World, I can serve as your guide."
