Xia Ningxing only felt her heart uncontrollably speed up again, speaking with an admiring tone, "Lu, you’re really great, I could practically fall in love with you."

If eyes could shoot out pink hearts, Lu Tingli would probably be buried in them by now.

Seeing how mushy they were getting, Lu Fan rolled his eyes so hard they almost reached the sky, "Hey, hey, hey, consider the single dog behind you, will you?"

Xia Ningxing raised an eyebrow, turned her head to look at him, and said thoughtfully, "Lu Fan, aren’t you like twenty-six or twenty-seven? Why don’t you find someone?"

"You said it, not me," Xia Ningxing smiled innocently.

Lu Fan humphed, "But that’s what you mean."

"If that’s what you think, then I can’t do anything about it," Xia Ningxing shrugged.

"Heh!"

He scoffed coldly and then asked curiously, "By the way, that Tao Tao, is she pretty? I’m telling you, if she’s ugly, I’d rather go out..." to rent a place!

Before he could finish his sentence, the car had already stopped in front of the company’s building.

A young girl holding a child ran up to them, grinning and tapping on the car window, "Xiaxia! You’ve finally come back! I’ve missed you to death!"

As she spoke, she asked the little baby in her arms, "Little Sweetie, did you miss your auntie too?"

Little Sweetie was just a month old, chubby and incredibly cute, especially now with her red little mouth curved into a silly smile, drool running from the corners of her lips.

Xia Ningxing stepped out of the car and gave her a reproachful look, "It’s cold outside, why did you bring the child out?"

"It’s okay, I’ve wrapped her up tight," Tao Tao quickly replied.

Lu Fan also got out of the car, pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses, and gave Tao Tao a once-over, "Are you Tao Tao?"

Not bad-looking, nice figure, seems like someone who has potential!

Lu Fan had already mentally established her identity in his mind.

"Yes, I am." Tao Tao instinctively answered. When she saw the handsome features of the man in front of her, although unfamiliar, and even bearing some resemblance to Lu Tingli, she couldn’t help but be dumbfounded. She then instinctively looked toward Xia Ningxing, "Xiaxia, who is this?"

Could it be a relative of the Lu Family?

Xia Ningxing seemed to read her thoughts and nodded, "He is Lu Tingli’s cousin."

"Let’s not talk about this now. It’s cold outside; let’s all go into the company first." Worried that the child might catch a cold, Xia Ningxing quickly pulled Tao Tao into the company building across the street.

The building of Giant Star Entertainment Company was built by the Xia family and had a total of thirty floors.

The first ten floors were home to Mrs. Xia’s beauty company.

The middle floors held Xia Jiehao’s clothing company.

The top ten floors were left for Xia Ningxing to start her entertainment company in the future.

The view from the top floor was the best, and the location was exceptionally prime; one could overlook the entire Capital City from there.

Although the various companies shared one building, they had several entrances, each with access control. Without an access card, one couldn’t get in, so each company maintained its independence without feeling crammed together.

The elevator reached the top floor, where Xia Ningxing’s office was located.

Mrs. Xia and Xia Jiehao had already had it decorated to Xia Ningxing’s liking, all in a minimalist style that she preferred.

Upon entering the office, Xia Ningxing formally introduced Lu Fan to Tao Tao, "Taozi, from now on, Lu Fan will be the chief agent at Giant Star Company, and both you and I are his artists."

"Okay, okay!" Tao Tao quickly nodded, then glanced at Lu Fan with modesty, "Manager Lu, I look forward to learning from you."

"Don’t worry, I’ll surely teach you a lot. I never go easy on my artists; you’ll have your share of challenges ahead!" Lu Fan said with a smirk, and then reached out to playfully poke the little one in her arms, "This little girl looks pretty good."

"She’s alright." Tao Tao said modestly, but pride was evident on her face. There wasn’t a parent in the world who didn’t like hearing their child complimented.

"By the way, Xiaxia, I submitted my resignation to the Research Institute Opera Troupe earlier, and it got approved today. I need to go back and pack up my things," Tao Tao said, lifting her eyes toward Xia Ningxing.

"It just so happens that Lu is taking a long holiday. I’ll go with you to help him tidy up his dormitory," Xia Ningxing said with a smile.

Tao Tao nodded, "Thank you, it’s kind of you and Lu to help."

Xia Ningxing shook her head, "It’s nothing."

As they were about to leave, Lu Fan suddenly spoke up, looking at Taozi, "I’ll take care of the child for you. It won’t be convenient to pack with the child in tow."

"Oh, how could I impose?" Tao Tao immediately waved her hands dismissively.

Before Lu Fan could respond, Xia Ningxing said straight out, "There’s no imposition. Feel free to make use of him."

"Then I’ll be in your care, Manager Lu." Tao Tao showed him a bashful and apologetic smile.

Lu Fan didn’t realize his gaze had softened, "We’re all part of the same company now; no need to be so polite."

Next, Lu Tingli drove Xia Ningxing to the Research Institute.

After an hour, they finally arrived.

As soon as she got out of the car, Xia Ningxing noticed a crowd around the institute’s bulletin board, bustling and seemingly discussing something, but they were too far to hear clearly.

"What happened here?" Xia Ningxing asked curiously as she walked over.
