Chapter 383: Chapter 381 Going to the Lu Family 3_1

As the wife of the imposter Lu Lao’er, she naturally knew about his background as well.

Could it be...

The imposter Lu Lao’er’s wife didn’t dare to continue the thought.

Sir Lu stood with his hands behind his back, his aged eyes sharp as they fixed on her, "Madam Zhao, you are not a fool, you must have guessed by now that Lu Qingze is not my son, whom I lost over a decade ago. He’s nothing but an imposter!"

"Of course, you might have known about this a long time ago, conspiring with that imposter to deceive my Lu Family."

"But all of that doesn’t matter now. My real son has returned. You and your son get out of here immediately!"

Sir Lu’s voice was firm and powerful, leaving no room for argument.

The imposter Lu Lao’er’s wife collapsed to the ground, shaking her head in horror and despair, "This is impossible! Impossible!"

Lu Wenxuan, the son of Lu Lao’er, was unaware of the truth. Hearing this news for the first time, he almost buckled at the knees, "Grandfather, could there be some mistake? How could my dad be an imposter?"

"The paternity test is right here, see for yourself." Sir Lu said irritably as he threw the document at them and then gestured for the nanny, "Go and pack their things."

"Yes."

Nanny Wu went to do as she was ordered.

"My dad really isn’t Grandfather’s child?" Lu Wenxuan’s eyes nearly popped out after reading the paternity test. He dropped the report, his eyes reddening as he gripped Madam Zhao’s shoulders and demanded, "What’s going on here?"

"Xuan’er, your dad really is an imposter..."

Madam Zhao’s tears of despair started to fall.

She knew all too well that Sir Lu must have already learned the full story. They were finished!

Totally finished!

And she had just been fantasizing about inheriting the entire Lu Family and even the Wei Family!

"Why is this happening!"

Lu Wenxuan also slumped onto the ground, his face a mix of disbelief and even resentment.

It meant that from now on, he was no longer the young master of the Lu Family, just an ordinary civilian!

It was unbearable!

He really couldn’t bear it!

"Grandfather!" Lu Wenxuan, as if struck by a sudden idea, rushed towards Sir Lu, clutching his legs, desperately pleading, "Grandfather, it’s wrong of my dad to have impersonated your son, but I can’t bear losing you, Grandfather. I’ve called you Grandfather for over twenty years; in my heart, you are my real grandfather. I’ve been so obedient to you since I was little. Please don’t drive me away, please give me a chance to stay and take care of you..."

As long as he could stay, then he would have a chance to get the Lu Family back into his hands!

Ambition gleamed in Lu Wenxuan’s eyes.

Sir Lu, close to the end of his life, could see right through his motives. He bent down and slowly pried Lu Wenxuan’s fingers loose, "Let go, Wenxuan. Don’t blame your grandfather for being heartless. Although you were unaware of your father impersonating my son, you ultimately do not belong to the Lu Family and have no right to stay here."

His tone was mild, yet it carried a resolute intent.

If the imposter Lu Lao’er hadn’t committed such heinous acts, he might have felt a hint of mercy in his heart and perhaps would have kept this grandson by his side. But now, every time he saw him, he was reminded of the imposter Lu Lao’er and all the atrocious things he had done.

"Xiaoxuan, don’t beg him," Madam Zhao, who doted on her son the most, pulled him behind her as soon as she saw her son grovel, and then glared fiercely at Sir Lu. "Where is my husband?" she demanded.

Since they had already burned their bridges, she certainly wasn’t going to treat him with the same respect as before.

Sir Lu couldn’t be bothered to argue with her and simply stated, "He’s in prison."

"In prison?" Madam Zhao screamed in terror, "How could my husband end up in prison without any reason?"

"Hiring assassins twice, wielding a knife to take hostages once—isn’t that enough for him to be in prison?" It was Xia Ningxing who replied, her eyes and brows seemingly laughing yet not.

Hearing this, Madam Zhao collapsed to the ground once again, the light in her eyes finally and completely extinguished, turning pitch-dark.

Now they were truly and utterly finished!

Crying hysterically, she beat the ground with her fists, "How could you put him in prison, how could you do such a thing!"

She cried with heart-wrenching sobs, as if Xia Ningxing and the others were some unforgivably evil criminals.

Xia Ningxing and the others were left speechless. Should such a person not be sent to prison? Were they supposed to keep him around for New Year’s?

"Mom, stop crying." Lu Wenxuan frowned in disgust as he glanced at Madam Zhao, then lifted his reddened eyes to address Sir Lu, "Grandfather, please give us some dignity and let us pack our things and leave on our own."

He knew that staying with the Lu Family was now impossible.

But if they were allowed to pack by themselves, they could sneak away with some valuable items. Though they wouldn’t be rich, they would have no worries about food and clothing for the rest of their lives.

Xia Ningxing could obviously see through his intentions, so before Sir Lu could speak, she tilted her head and said in a seemingly casual manner, "So you want to pack your own belongings in order to take the chance to steal some of the Lu Family’s possessions?"

"I’m not!" Lu Wenxuan roared at her in a fit of embarrassed rage!

"Don’t be rude to Xingxing!" Sir Lu stepped in front of Xia Ningxing before Lu Tingli and the others could protect her, glaring at him, "Just let the nanny pack."

Once Sir Lu spoke, Lu Wenxuan dared not say another word, but he committed Xia Ningxing to memory in his heart.

This woman, he would settle the score with her sooner or later!

And Lu Tingli’s group, who usurped his identity!

He would not let any of them off the hook!

Lu Wenxuan clenched his fists, his gaze falling as he hid the hatred in his eyes.

"Sir Lu, the items have been packed," said the nanny, carrying two bags downstairs.

The nanny was a long-time servant of their household and trustworthy, so Sir Lu, without inspection, simply nodded, "Give it to them."

"There you go, leave the Lu Family!" The nanny, without any nicety, tossed the belongings to the mother and son, then forcefully pushed the two away.

She had watched over the Lu brothers grow up since they were little and had long considered them as her own sons; naturally, she had no friendly expressions for the impostors.

Mr. Lu watched her retreating back, vaguely recalling something, and probed, "Is that Nanny Wu?"

As soon as Nanny Wu heard this, she quickly turned around and rushed to his side, tears streaming down her face as she hugged him. "After all these years, Jianren still remembers me, it’s my honor," she said excitedly.

Mr. Lu gently hugged her back.

"So that man is Sir Lu’s true son?" Mrs. Wei and Wei Yoyo, who stood aside, never anticipated that the Lu Family affairs could be so complex, watching with utter astonishment.
