Rabbit Must Die -
Chapter 95 Pitfall!_1
Chapter 95: Chapter 95 Pitfall!_1
Qin Shou also found that Literature Garden had so many rules, it was almost like splitting hairs! There was a requirement for almost every move you made, even dictating how high you could lift your arms! Qin Shou suddenly felt that this place wasn’t for teaching students how to read and write, but for cloning robots! This only made him more determined to drop out early and go back home to manage the moon farm. But how could he get kicked out of the academy legally and properly? It seemed there wasn’t a single rule in Literature Garden for kicking someone out.
Leave on his own?
Qin Shou was no fool, let alone the fact that leaving on his own would slap Wenqu and the entire Literature Garden in the face. The most important thing was, his coming to Literature Garden was by the command of the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother of the West. Leaving on his own would be a direct affront to the Jade Emperor and the Queen Mother! That would be sheer suicide!
So, Qin Shou couldn’t just leave by himself. The only way out was to get himself kicked out.
Another hour passed, and Longhuai was still reading.
Taitai Le was already extremely sleepy, the three brothers in front had leaned on each other, snoring loudly, the sound like thunder...
Big Head Doll was already seated and asleep, while the little girl and the tauren were still holding on.
Taitai Le, looking up at the still energetic Qin Shou, asked, "Rabbit, aren’t you sleepy?"
Qin Shou made no movement.
"Rabbit, why aren’t you speaking?" Taitai Le asked.
"Rabbit, say something, will you?" Taitai Le continued to ask.
But alas, the rabbit just stood there, eyes wide open, motionless, seemingly mesmerized by the reading.
Out of options, Taitai Le slapped the rabbit, causing Qin Shou to shiver and say, "What are you doing? Can’t you see someone’s sleeping here?"
Taitai Le was taken aback, "Sleeping? You sleep with your eyes open?"
Qin Shou looked up, his tone smug, "Six years in primary, three in junior high, three in senior high, it took me twelve years of being at the bottom of the class to master this technique, do you want to learn? I’ll teach you for free."
Taitai Le: "You’re that generous?"
Qin Shou said, "Of course, I am a kind and friendly rabbit after all."
Taitai Le: "...haha... I’ll believe that when pigs fly! It’s just standing while sleeping, I can do it too!"
"Oh? Try it then," said Qin Shou.
So Taitai Le also stood there and fell asleep...
As soon as Taitai Le fell asleep, Longhuai finished reading, Wenqu turned around and swept his gaze over the scene. The serious expression on his face lowered the atmosphere by several degrees.
Taitai Le awoke with a start, looked around, and blankly asked, "What’s going on?"
Next to her, the rabbit chuckled, "Nothing, nothing... go back to sleep."
Taitai Le looked suspiciously at Qin Shou...
At that moment, Wenqu spoke, "The lesson you’ve just experienced was the first in patience! To respect our teachers and value the way, you must first possess patience! All of those who fell asleep and didn’t listen attentively, stay where you are, you’re not allowed to move—stand as punishment for six hours, and lunch is canceled! Everyone else follow your teacher; I will take you for a tour around Shushan. Longhuai, keep an eye on them, if they misbehave, I’ll deal with them when I get back!"
Longhuai quickly nodded, "Okay."
Upon hearing this, Taitai Le immediately understood, she’d been tricked by that damn rabbit again!
Taitai Le looked at Qin Shou, full of rage, while Qin Shou spread his hands, "Well... this time, it’s really not my fault."
"I’ll peck you to death!" screamed Taitai Le as she lunged at him.
Qin Shou bolted, clinging to Wenqu’s leg and crying, "Teacher, this chicken’s gone mad, are you not going to do something about it?"
"Taitai Le!" Wenqu shouted coldly, and Taitai Le came to an abrupt halt, finally realizing this wasn’t her home—this was Shushan.
Wenqu said, "Kui Yi, Kui Er, Kui San, Mutou, Chongba, you and Taitai Le stay put, don’t move! Otherwise, you’ll eat..."
At the mention of eating, Wenqu saw that the rabbit’s eyes were shining. Finally, he hesitated and changed his words, "Otherwise, you’ll copy books a hundred times!"
Upon hearing about copying books, Qin Shou decisively gave up the idea. That was the last thing he wanted to do in his life! His former self had had more than enough of that!
Upon hearing this, Taitai Le, realizing that Qin Shou was not on the punishment list, became instantaneously anxious and exclaimed, "Teacher, the Rabbit was sleeping earlier too!"
Qin Shou chuckled, remaining silent.
Wenqu frowned and said, "Oh? When was he sleeping? How did he sleep?"
Taitai Le replied, "He was standing there, sleeping with his eyes open!"
Wenqu nodded and said, "Do you really think your mentor would believe that? Slandering a fellow student, adding an offence, you’ll stand for an extra two hours."
Taitai Le: "I..."
Longhuai said, "Stop talking, the more you say, the worse it gets."
With a face full of grief and indignation, Taitai Le looked at the grinning Rabbit. She just couldn’t figure it out. Why? Why was it always her who ended up unlucky?
Qin Shou patted Taitai Le on the head and said, "There, there, you should learn more from me in the future. The most important thing in life is to be honest!"
Upon hearing this, Taitai Le’s eyes nearly popped out!
"Alright, let’s go!" commanded Wenqu with a wave of his hand, as he took off into the sky with Qin Shou, the tauren, and the little girl to watch the Literature Garden.
Standing in place with a face full of sorrow and anger, Taitai Le cried out, "He really was sleeping!"
Longhuai patted Taitai Le on the shoulder and said, "I believe what you say."
"You believe?" Taitai Le was astonished.
Longhuai explained, "Mhm, the mentor believes it too. Actually, whether he slept or not can be figured out just by calculating, but this Rabbit is a bit strange, not something you can calculate. He’s shrouded in mystery from head to toe... The teacher can’t calculate it, and by the time we turn back, there he is, bouncing around as lively as ever, naturally we can’t punish him unjustly. As for you, you happened to be sleeping soundly..."
A moment of speechlessness engulfed Taitai Le; how could she be blamed? It was all that damn Rabbit’s fault! Even sleeping while standing was a trick she learned from that damn rabbit!
Taitai Le decided, from then on, to keep her distance from that damn Rabbit. Ever since she met him, not a day had gone by peacefully! The worst part was, she ended up taking the blame more often than even Chongba...
"We didn’t sleep!" At that moment, Kui Yi called out defiantly.
Longhuai glanced at him and said, "Just shut up."
Kui Yi: "Why should we? Do you look down on the three of us? Brothers, grab your weapons!"
Kui Er and Kui San both pulled out their weapons at the same time!
Longhuai shook his head helplessly and said, "The rules of the Literature Garden forbid violence among fellow students. Aren’t you afraid of being punished if you take action?"
Kui San turned to Kui Yi and asked, "Big brother? What do we do? Do we take him down?"
Kui Er said, "Big brother, it’s your call!"
With a serious expression, Kui Yi declared, "He said no fighting, so let’s bite him!"
"Brilliant, big brother!" Kui Er and Kui San shouted in unison, then the three of them charged together...
Seeing this, Longhuai cursed, "What kind of thinking is that!"
...And he took to his heels and ran.
Black Shell Turtle, Chongba, gathered around Taitai Le and said, "With no one to supervise, can we rest now?"
Taitai Le responded, "We should... I guess. Mutou, what do you think?"
The boy Mutou, with a big head, gave them a brief glance, said nothing, and walked away to sit down.
Taitai Le pouted, "What’s with the attitude? Ignore us if you want, let’s go, Chongba. We’ll sit over there."
