Chapter 86: Chapter 86 What a coincidence..._1
Clearly, Chang’e was uninterested as well, so she carried Qin Shou up the Glazed Well.
They placed some wooden cups and basins made by Chang’e within the Moon Palace. In the end, Qin Shou went out to find a few rectangular boulders to put in the bedroom as beds and smaller stones to use as stools. With this, the moving process was concluded.
At nightfall, Qin Shou and Chang’e stood atop the Stargazing Tower, looking up into the sky...
What a surprise they were in for when they finally took a look!
Although the Stargazing Tower didn’t contain much and didn’t even seem tall, once they had actually climbed to the top, Qin Shou was astonished to discover that the tower itself came with a Formation! Observing the stars from the Stargazing Tower allowed them to bring the starry sky closer!
Of course, it didn’t literally bring the starry sky closer, nor did the tower get taller. It was the magic of the Formation that created this effect, drawing the starry sky nearer, even to the point where stars appeared as large as washbasins!
However, stars as big as washbasins were still stars, and their details remained unclear.
Qin Shou looked down at the Earthly Immortal Realm but could only make out some outlines; the people and such on it were simply indistinct.
Nevertheless, the sight was incredibly awe-inspiring...
But what was even more striking than this scene was the person, the rabbit, this view...
Under the dazzling starry sky, within the classical architecture of the Stargazing Tower, a man and a rabbit gazed upwards toward the heavens.
Chang’e leaned on the railing, bending over as she looked up at the cluster of stars...
A breeze wafted by, causing her clothes to dance in the wind, outlining Chang’e’s graceful figure and perfect curves, seemingly narrating to the world the ultimate beauty of the human form, the unity of beauty between heaven and earth...
Next to her, a chubby rabbit sat on the railing, looking up at the sky, grinning foolishly—a bit silly, a bit sweet, and a tad mischievous...
That night passed peacefully—watching the stars, counting the stars, chatting away.
Though nothing happened, they both enjoyed this tranquil happiness...
"Perhaps, it would be quite nice to live our whole lives just like this," Chang’e whispered softly.
Qin Shou grinned without saying a word, but he agreed with Chang’e’s thought. He had never been someone who enjoyed reckless fights; his greatest desire was to marry a wife and retire to the countryside, with three acres of thin farmland, an old house, fishing, gardening, raising chickens, walking dogs, living leisurely for a lifetime...
In his past life, he managed to do everything except for marrying a wife, which was the real challenge.
In this life, it seemed the toughest challenge was already taking shape; now, what remained was forging his Moon Palace villa.
With this thought, Qin Shou squinted his eyes, deep in contemplation about how to properly build this home... It was indeed a problem, but ultimately, all problems boiled down to one—poverty!
"How to become filthy rich..." Qin Shou squinted his eyes again, thinking of a method.
The Rabbit Hour, in ancient times, was the time interval between five and six-thirty in the morning.
Therefore, Qin Shou had no choice but to set out early. Before he left, Chang’e meticulously taught him how to Ride the Cloud, Drive the Mist, a skill she had learned from the Flower Fairy. Upon hearing it, Qin Shou’s eyes lit up with excitement, and he couldn’t help but exclaim, "Damn your grandmother’s Dog Xiaotian, what kind of crappy trick did you teach me! Just you wait!"
The Guan Estuary...
"Achoo!" Dog Xiaotian sneezed and muttered, "Damn, someone cursing me at this time must be that damn rabbit... Still got the energy to curse me, must not be dead... True enough, a scourge lasts a thousand years."
Qin Shou finally steadied himself and rose into the sky on an auspicious cloud, blissfully flying towards the Southern Gate.
Ironically, it was Mo Lishou who was on gate duty this early in the morning...
Upon seeing him, Qin Shou’s eyes lit up, and he shouted, "Hey! Mo Lishou, on door duty again!"
A perfectly normal greeting, but when Mo Lishou raised his eyelids and saw it was this rabbit, he suddenly felt there was something off about the way it was said, as if he was being called like a dog?
Mo Lishou snorted coldly, ignoring Qin Shou.
Qin Shou found this boring and glanced at Mo Lishou’s waist, where nothing was hanging, shook his head, and mumbled as he walked away, "Ah, was hoping to score a free breakfast, but no such luck, poor fellow..."
Upon hearing this, Mo Lishou shivered and thought to himself, luckily he didn’t engage with that damn rabbit, this guy definitely had no good intentions!
Once in the Immortal Realm, Qin Shou took out the Literary Garden Token, and sure enough, a green arrow appeared on it, pointing eastward.
Following the direction indicated by the Literary Garden Token, Qin Shou hurried on, crossing a small hill, the plains, a big river, until finally...
"Cluck cluck cluck!" A series of chicken crows drew Qin Shou’s attention, and turning his head, he saw on a nearby mountain a large rooster standing on a tree, crowing proudly and confidently.
Qin Shou raised his eyebrows and said, "No way, what a coincidence? This must be the rooster that Ji Dian spat out, right?"
Out of curiosity, Qin Shou approached and to his surprise, after entering the mountain, he discovered this was no ordinary mountain. It was divided into many areas, with glaciers, tropical rainforests, grasslands, even highlands, and a desert inside! There were camels running in the desert, scorpions jumping, rattlesnakes strutting, and giant sand worms roaring...
Similarly, the other areas also housed various wild animals, but what truly shocked Qin Shou was that in addition to the wild animals, there were many peculiar creatures, such as fish with wings, cats with three heads, and so on...
As Qin Shou was marveling at this, he noticed a sign in the bushes, picked it up, and read, "Rare Birds Courtyard, Ordinary Wild Animals Breeding Park."
Below was a warning in small print, "Wild animals are fierce, do not approach. This area is overseen by the Local God of Land of the Rare Birds Courtyard."
After reading it, Qin Shou’s eyes gleamed, and he smirked. He reburied the sign in the heap of grass, muttering, "I didn’t see anything, didn’t see a thing... Yup, didn’t see! Since I didn’t see it, where is this place? What will I, the starving Rabbit Lord, do... Hehe..."
Having said this, Qin Shou’s eyes, emitting a green light, turned towards the rooster on the tree, which was still showing off...
The rooster also looked down at Qin Shou, their eyes met, and the next moment...
"Cluck! Ah..."
Suddenly, the rooster was grabbed by someone and disappeared into the bushes with a whoosh, leaving only a few feathers fluttering in its place.
Qin Shou saw this and immediately got furious, someone dared to steal a roast chicken from the Rabbit Lord? Which audacious creature with the heart of a bear and the courage of a leopard did this?
Angered, Qin Shou swiftly climbed up the tree and gave chase! After running just a few steps, he saw a huge toad the size of a small car squatting there, with its bulging eyes slanting at Qin Shou, still chewing, clearly the rooster was not yet finished, but as it saw Qin Shou, drool began to flow... Obviously, this creature had set its sights on the rabbit now.
Qin Shou saw this, grinned disdainfully, and chuckled, "What, being big is so great? I, the Rabbit Lord, haven’t even had breakfast yet!"
"Gurgle..." The toad let out a deep croak, then suddenly turned around, opened its mouth, flicked its tongue, and went for the rabbit!
