Chapter 71: Chapter 71 A Dance Overturns the City [Part 2]_1

The sea of flowers swept Chang’e into the air, and the ice cap rose, hovering over the lake’s surface.

With a wave of her hand, the Flower Fairy caused a huge, glowing flower to land behind the ice cap, illuminating the entire surface like a gigantic moon!

Bathed in the moonlight’s glow, Chang’e’s silhouette outlined nearly perfect curves. In the shadows, a little peacock hatched from its shell, gazing curiously at the world... In the fierce winds, the little peacock grew, contending against the harshness of heaven and earth. Amid the cruelty, it spread its wings to soar, singing joyfully in the air, dancing amongst the flowers, and marveling at the beauty of the world...

As people watched, they could not help but feel their eyes moisten.

It was clear to all that the peacock represented everyone...

The path of cultivation is not easy, the Great Way is arduous, and Immortals struggle at every step against Heaven and the Dao. The hardships they face resonated in the growth of the little peacock.

But no matter how bitter, painful, or exhausting...

When they stand amongst the flowers, they do not vent their discontent, but instead dance with a sunny disposition, giving back more beauty to the world...

This was not just a peacock’s dance; it was the dance of the Immortals.

Seeing this, Qin Shou was also in disbelief, for the dance had transformed completely! It bore no resemblance to the practice sessions on the moon or in the cave!

Clearly, while he was arguing outside, Chang’e had not been idle. She had not only made a friend in the Flower Fairy but had also refined her dance. It was not just aesthetically pleasing, but also laden with endless deep meanings, resonating and provoking deep reflection...

"So dance isn’t just about being cool and stylish, there’s emotion and story within it..." It was at this moment that Qin Shou truly understood the essence of dance.

When the dance ended, there was complete silence across the venue...

Beneath the stage, Chang’e also snapped out of her dance-induced trance. She glanced at the Immortals around her and then at the leaders atop Cloud Altar, biting her lips nervously, as if she could hear her own heartbeat.

Just then, a hand gently landed on her shoulder. The Flower Fairy smiled and said, "Get ready for it..."

Chang’e was puzzled...

Before Chang’e could ask, a cheer erupted all around, accompanied by thunderous applause!

"Wonderful!"

"Beautiful!"

"Gorgeous!"

"Haha... Flower Fairy, you’ve met your match!"

...

Watching the Immortals spontaneously stand and applaud, Chang’e was stunned... Nevertheless, she quickly regained her composure, bowed to the crowd in gratitude, and with her beautiful eyes, she scanned her surroundings, hoping to see something, though she held no expectation.

Seeing this, Qin Shou hastily nudged Dog Xiaotian, "Bro, help me out, throw me higher, so my fairy can see me!"

"You’re just a pet; with so many Immortals here, she probably can’t see you," Dog Xiaotian muttered.

Not far away, Limp Li, who was holding his crutch without any image, huffed, "Everyone thought you were in a sub-venue; who would look for you?"

Lan Caihe laughed and said, "Lv Dongbin, Han Xiangzi, with such a stunning beauty in front of you, don’t you want to show yourselves?"

Lv Dongbin shook his head and didn’t move an inch, stating indifferently, "Immortals have always danced for me. When have you ever seen me perform for someone else? Perform? That’s impossible."

Han Xiangzi also crossed his arms and sat there saying, "Exactly, performing and such, absolutely impossible."

Seeing this, Qin Shou shook his head, unable to be bothered with these guys. Since no one would help, he simply jumped up forcefully, ascending into the sky while waving his paw, wagging his plump backside, little tail, and big ears, and crying out, "Over here, over here, over here!"

As he fell, there suddenly appeared some support beneath his feet, which then propelled him into the air.

Qin Shou looked down and saw that it was Han Zhongli who had given him a hand with his fan...

Qin Shou smiled in appreciation and then continued to shout.

Qin Shou didn’t expect Chang’e to see him, but sometimes, when one’s heart has its desires, they can behold each other from a thousand miles apart!

Just as Qin Shou leaped for the third time, Chang’e’s gaze shifted over, and their eyes met. In that instant, all anxiety, worry, and tension instantly dissolved, leaving only a shared joyful smile...

Especially Chang’e, who had been shaking before she saw Qin Shou. But upon seeing this mischievous Rabbit, her confidence returned with her smile, radiating brilliance, along with that slight smile that instantly conquered everyone present!

Seeing this scene, Qin Shou shouted, "She’s mine..."

However, the last word "mine" didn’t come out...

"Bang!"

The Rabbit sprawled on the table, yelling, "Fatty, why are you slacking off!"

As Qin Shou cursed, he turned to look and saw a spellbound Han Zhongli standing there. But Han Zhongli was okay; it was just an admiring gaze.

Looking to the other side...

The two show-offs who had promised not to perform, Lv Dongbin and Han Xiangzi, had somehow switched places without notice.

Han Xiangzi leaned against a tree trunk, mimicking playing the flute, with a face of faint sorrow and a dreamy look in his eyes gazing into the distance, gradually raising his gaze until...

"Lv Dongbin, you’ve gone too far!" Han Xiangzi cursed, instantly losing all his cool.

In the tree, Lv Dongbin stood on the leaves above Han Xiangzi’s head, Longsword in tow, his robes billowing as if he were an Immortal aloft, a forlorn look of worldly weariness in his eyes that even Qin Shou found somewhat captivating. Thus, Qin Shou picked up a Stone and whooshed it towards him.

But Lv Dongbin didn’t move; a protective Gang Qi spread out, and the Stone shattered with a snap! Then, with a wave of his hand, a seed from within the Stone fell into his palm. The seed took root and sprouted in the palm of his hand, flourishing into a small flower...

Lv Dongbin gently sniffed at it, with a touch of melancholy and grace, and said, "Flowers smell sweet, but not as sweet as a person, beautiful flowers are made for beautiful people..."

After speaking, Lv Dongbin flicked his hand, and the flower took flight...

Qin Shou looked at the target, and it was indeed Chang’e!

Qin Shou’s face immediately darkened, and he cursed loudly, "Fuck!"

Qin Shou burst from his spot, soared into the sky, grasped the flower with his hand, intending to crush it.

Lv Dongbin spoke indifferently, "Such a beautiful flower, protected by me, you cannot crush it."

Qin Shou found that the flower was indeed protected by a barrier! Without saying another word, he stuffed it into his mouth and crunched... the barrier shattered, and the flower... eaten!

An indifferent look froze on Lv Dongbin’s face.

"Come down, you just bragged and the Rabbit chewed it up, does that slap hurt? If I were you, I’d have no face left to boast anymore," Dog Xiaotian called out from below.

Han Xiangzi nodded along, and Qin Shou glanced at him and said, "What are you nodding for? You’re not even as good as him; at least he carried on some charade, while you were stepped on before you even began..."

Han Xiangzi: "Damn Rabbit..."

And with that, the Eight Immortals’ two-man team of flaunting and picking up girls was utterly defeated.

Yet this was just the tip of the iceberg of the vast army of clowns...
