Chapter 476: Chapter 89: Awesome Rabbit_1
Meanwhile, Qin Shou wasn’t idle on his feet either; with one foot stepping on the Cyclops, he leaped up with the other for a round of heavy stomping...
For a time, the entire entrance of the Ghost Gate was true to the phrase "wolves crying and ghosts howling," filled with unceasing screams...
Black and White Impermanence, who had been watching the commotion from a distance, originally thought it was just a spectacle. However, to their astonishment, the scene of the rabbit thrashing a gang of ghosts was so thrilling that they rubbed their eyes, confirming they weren’t dreaming, before exchanging a glance...
"Bai, this rabbit is quite fierce," Black Impermanence said.
White Impermanence replied, "It is indeed fierce, but no matter how fierce, once in the Netherworld, a dragon must coil, a tiger must crouch."
Black Impermanence chuckled, "I just haven’t come across something this interesting in a long time. What do you think, should we step in now or wait a bit longer?"
Before White Impermanence could respond, desperate cries for help began to ring out.
"Help, oh, help..."
It was then seen that the rabbit, having done enough knocking around, actually climbed atop the gate and started to yank out a malevolent ghost! These malevolent ghosts were the attached spirits of the Ghost Gate, looking fierce but they were merely for scaring people and served to protect the Ghost Gate.
Once these ghosts were dragged out past the gate, they instantly vanished into smoke and dispersed.
Seeing the rabbit’s ferocity and ox-like strength, and failing to withstand it any longer, the ghosts started calling for help en masse.
Black and White Impermanence, who had still wanted to enjoy the chaos a bit longer, dared not delay any further. White Impermanence shouted, "Rabbit, stop your recklessness!"
There the rabbit was, pulling at a ghost atop the Ghost Gate when he suddenly heard someone calling out to him. Turning his head, he saw White Impermanence holding a Funeral Stick and sticking out a long tongue, having leaped behind him in one bound.
Their four eyes met, each slightly taken aback. After confirming the look in the other’s eyes, White Impermanence was surprised; a Void Returning Realm rabbit was in their midst, completely unafraid! Furthermore, how could a cultivator of such strength possibly beat the malevolent ghosts of the Ghost Gate? It defied all reason!
White Impermanence thought to himself, "I have no idea where this rabbit comes from, but it is full of strangeness, and I don’t know if it’s ignorance or courage, but it’s definitely trouble incarnate. To handle such a creature, one must be more ferocious, show who’s boss, and teach it fear!"
With that thought, White Impermanence’s mind was filled with countless scenarios of teaching the rabbit a lesson, flashes of the tiger bench and chili water, whips and wax drips... However, the next moment...
"Let go! Let go! Rabbit, let go!" White Impermanence suddenly felt a pain in his tongue and, looking down, saw the rabbit grabbing his tongue and yanking it outward, with frightening strength, causing him to stagger.
After tugging, Qin Shou muttered, "Damn, it’s actually real..."
Upon hearing that, White Impermanence was so furious that his eyeballs turned red and he shouted, "Nonsense! Let go, hurry up and let go! Black, what the hell are you looking at, get him off me!"
Black Impermanence was a short distance away, holding his belly and laughing uproariously, "Bai, haha... your tongue, haha... it’s longer than mine this time, haha... "
Upon hearing this, the rabbit glanced sidelong at Black Impermanence’s tongue and his eyes lit up!
The next moment!
"Rabbit, let go! Quick, let go!" Black Impermanence shouted as he pounded on the rabbit gripping his tongue, desperately yelling.
The rabbit, however, paid no mind to the chaotic flailing of Black and White Impermanence, grabbing both of their tongues with one hand and dragging them along, with so much strength that the two of them had no chance to fight back!
White Impermanence was somewhat better off, as his tongue was naturally long; being gripped by the tongue merely prevented him from exerting any strength, which was his weakness.
But it was different for Black Impermanence. He wasn’t a hanging ghost; his tongue wasn’t that long. He had merely stretched it through magic to compare lengths for fun with Bai. But now, he suddenly realized that brute force could make his tongue this long without using magic...
Black Impermanence’s tongue wasn’t his weakness, but to his dismay, he found that this rabbit, supposedly at the Void Returning Realm, was so fast he could barely see its movements, and its strength was impossible for him to break free from. As for the rabbit’s iron skin and bronze bones, he found them too tough to even make a dent!
White Impermanence shouted, "Funeral Stick, Funeral Stick, strike his soul!"
Black Impermanence quickly snatched White Impermanence’s Funeral Stick and turned around to land a blow on Rabbit’s forehead.
As a result, sparks flew high and Rabbit’s step halted abruptly! As if he had been hit with a spell of immobility, he didn’t move an inch.
The two finally caught their breath...
The evil spirits atop the Ghost Gate saw this and cheered one by one.
"Well done!"
"Great job, Black and White brothers, fierce! Kick him for me!"
"Punch him for me!"
"Beat him up!"
"Yeah, beat him up!"
"Kick him!"
...
For a moment, the place was roaring with noise – err, I mean it was a tumult of ghostly howls to be precise.
White Impermanence was quite pleased with himself and cursed, "Damn rabbit, you realize our might now, don’t you? No matter how strong your physical body is, your soul is still your weakness."
Black Impermanence nodded in agreement and was about to say something when he saw the Rabbit slowly turning his head around and grinning sinisterly at them, "You dare to hit me?"
Looking at Rabbit’s shiny white teeth and how the evil spirits on the Ghost Gate fell silent as his gaze passed over them, Black Impermanence felt goosebumps all over his body, his entire being shivering as if he was encountering a ghost amidst chilly gusts of wind.
Then Black Impermanence suddenly snapped back to his senses and muttered, "I am a ghost, what the hell am I afraid of!"
However, the next moment, Rabbit vanished with a whoosh, and Black Impermanence felt the Funeral Stick disappear from his grasp!
Immediately afterwards, a cold wind blew on the back of Black Impermanence’s neck, giving off a warm breath... clearly not a ghost, but something alive.
But at that moment, Black Impermanence felt that the living were scarier than any ghost, so he yelled, "Run..."
Before he could finish, a heavy blow struck the back of his head, then his soul trembled, and he couldn’t move a muscle!
Then, the evil spirits within the Ghost Gate watched as a rabbit mounted Black Impermanence’s neck and swinging the Funeral Stick, struck Black Impermanence’s head repeatedly, the clanging was loud and sparks scattered, like a blacksmith’s shop in full swing.
But being spirits themselves, they knew well that the Funeral Stick was not meant to strike the physical body, but to hit the soul! With one blow, regardless of how strong the physical body was, the soul would be scattered with Soul Power, experiencing unbearable pain and falling into a state of weakness.
Only the ghost undergoing the ordeal knew the bitter pain that reached deep into the soul...
Sure enough, with one whack of the Funeral Stick, Black Impermanence cried out, then trembled, and a burst of Soul Power dispersed from within his body.
Then the ghosts saw Rabbit’s eyes light up, he took a deep inhale, and whoosh, he sucked in the dispersed Soul Power into his abdomen. Then Rabbit’s eyes twinkled, he shouted loudly, "Tastes good!"
