Rabbit Must Die -
Chapter 445 - 58: Yao Sanqian, Dading True Master, Lan San_1
Chapter 445: Chapter 58: Yao Sanqian, Dading True Master, Lan San_1
He knew that when Rabbit spoke in such a lighthearted and carefree manner, it wasn’t because he truly felt that way.
His words were meant for Gungun, to make Gungun believe that there was no danger awaiting Rabbit, encouraging Gungun to stay behind without worry.
With that thought, Huanglong Daoist raised his staff and sighed, "Wuliang Heavenly Venerable."
Just then, Gungun seemed to realize something and stood up to follow, but Huanglong Daoist grabbed and held him back.
Gungun turned his head and roared angrily.
Huanglong Daoist shook his head and said, "Foolish child, what good would it do to follow him? The road ahead is fraught with dangers, and powerful foes abound. If you go like this, you’re just headed for doom. If you really want to help him, find Chiyou. With Chiyou’s abilities, who in this world could contend with him? Protecting him, saving him, it’s all within a single thought."
Gungun was stunned, then looked up at Huanglong Daoist.
Huanglong Daoist said, "Let him go. Come with me to find Chiyou."
Gungun struggled a few times, unable to break free from Huanglong Daoist’s restraint, then abruptly turned and sat down on the ground, forlornly watching Rabbit’s receding figure, eventually being dragged further and further away by Huanglong Daoist...
Qin Shou was quickening his pace, his steps growing more resolute. Following the guidance of the Twelve Ghosts of the Red River, he rushed westward, crossing several mountains. Suddenly, the clear sky began to darken.
In the distance, an incredibly odd and enormous mountain peak appeared before him. It was odd because the mountain seemed like a great volcano, with its center indented inwards. From high above, the cavity was so deep that it seemed bottomless, showing only a darkness devoid of any light.
"Halt, you there! The Tiannan Demon Clan is conducting its affairs; no others may enter!" A loud shout came, followed by three figures descending from the sky!
To be precise, they were three demons, each with winged ribs and white eyebrows over white eyes—the Bald Eagle demons. The three of them blocked Qin Shou’s path with a fiercely menacing air, as if to suggest they would kill him if he answered incorrectly.
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou understood that these fellows must be Yao Sanqian’s subordinates, blocking the road to prevent outsiders from disrupting their plans. His eyes darted about, pondering how to respond in order to sneak through, when suddenly a loud noise from ahead drew his attention.
On Xiankong Mountain, a gathering of exactly one hundred and eight demons came together in an astrological formation, activating a Formation. Then the clouds in the sky began to coalesce, eventually turning into a pitch-black cloud mass!
At that moment, a horned demon stepped forward, transformed into a Flood Dragon, and plunged headfirst into the cloud mass. Then the mass thundered and boomed, dispersing to form a dark cloud ring!
Just then, a cry of shock came from nearby: "The Sky Covering Array? Are you planning to flood Xiankong Mountain with water!?"
Time rewound to one day earlier.
Boom!
With a loud bang, a figure screamed as it was flung out from the dark depths of the tormented mountain. While still in the air, he hadn’t even hit the ground when a muffled thud sounded, and he disintegrated into a cloud of dust—not even remains were left!
This was followed by several thuds, screams, and cries of alarm!
"Run!"
"Demon Lord, save us!"
"Save me!"
...
Like bats bursting out of a cave, countless figures rushed out of Xiankong Mountain!
However, before they could completely escape, a red light shot up through the skies, resembling a volcanic eruption, or the roar of a fierce dragon!
The massive light swallowed everyone; those people uttered their last screams and moans in the red glow, and then turned to nothingness one after another...
The people standing around Xiankong Mountain retreated one after another, exclaiming in shock.
"What the hell is this? It’s not fire, but it has the same high temperature as a flame!" someone cursed.
"It’s terrifying. Among the people who just died were masters of Void Refining, and yet, they were instantly turned to ash, how terrifying!"
"I’ve never seen anything like this."
"Have you heard about it?"
"No, damn it, wasn’t Xiankong Mountain supposed to have just a white-haired mouse? How come there is such a terrifying thing?"
"It must be that female immortal... However, the power just now was so great, and it only expanded without contracting, so it should not be controlled by humans. It’s likely caused by some magic treasure!"
...
As the people discussed, in mid-air, a cloud sprouted many gourd vines, which twisted and turned into a canopy. Under the canopy, three people sat.
The one in the middle, dressed in a bright red robe, had a seductive yet indifferent face with disheveled hair that strangely did not look messy but carried an exotic allure. This person had a ghastly pale complexion, with long and lively eyes and long, white jade-like fingers. They held a chessboard in their arms, with each hand holding a piece, playing against themselves. Occasionally, the corners of their mouth would twitch as if they were smiling or perhaps mocking something.
This person was Yao Sanqian, the founder of the Tiannan Demon Clan Alliance.
To the left of Yao Sanqian sat a half-naked fat man, cradling a bronze pot in his arms. The pot contained soup that was boiling vigorously. The aroma was odd, somewhere between unpleasant and appetizing, leaving one conflicted—unable to vomit or swallow, endlessly provoking the imagination and unsettling the mind.
It is said that eight million years ago, a wild boar wandered into a cave and discovered an ancient cauldron within. The cauldron contained a bubbling broth, the ingredients of which were unknown.
Around the cauldron lay piles of white bones that formed small hills. The wild boar climbed up the hills and took a sip of the hot soup from the cauldron, then let out sharp, piercing howls. As it rolled around in agony, its skin, flesh, and fur were all ground away, until its skin split open, and a person emerged! This person proclaimed himself Dading True Master.
Dading True Master had unpredictable and elusive magic and enjoyed eating any living creature. Any creature caught by him would be thrown into his cauldron, cooked, and eaten directly!
It is said that Dading True Master once ate the flesh of an Earthly Immortal and drank the blood of a Heavenly Immortal; he was a fearsome, lone Demon Lord that no one dared to provoke!
It is also said that he always walked alone because he had stewed and eaten all the little monsters that had sought refuge with him.
How Dading True Master came to join forces with Yao Sanqian is unknown to anyone.
To the right of Yao Sanqian lay a woman, wrapped in a thick fur coat. The fur was so long that it curled around her body like hair. At first glance, it looked as if she was draped in grapes, which would make anyone with trypophobia unbearably uncomfortable.
The woman’s limbs were tucked into the fur coat, and her face was mostly concealed by it, making her appearance unclear. Only the small cherry mouth was visible, enticing one to lift the fur coat and see what kind of extraordinary beauty was hidden within.
Even Yao Sanqian occasionally glanced at this woman, with a peculiar look in his eyes.
The gaze of Dading True Master was filled with wariness as he said gravely, "Lan San, how do you see that strange light just now?"
