Immortals who accept stipends from the Heavenly Court are known as Immortals.

This is the difference between skilled folk and imperial guards.

The actual hierarchy of immortals, however, is determined by the level of understanding of the great path of heaven and earth, divided into Human Immortal, Earthly Immortal, Heavenly Immortal, Golden Immortal, Great Golden Immortal, Emperor level, Heavenly Emperor, and Supreme Sage.

Between each rank, there are nine sub-levels, truly a step-by-another-world, and only after the ninth level can one ascend to Heaven! The difference in strength at each level is like heaven and earth, insurmountable.

The Heavenly Emperor is the rank of the Jade Emperor and the Overlords who govern the four quarters of the world; it’s a level that rarely shows itself in the mortal realm.

The Emperor level refers to the rank of the Three Emperors, who also seldom venture out.

Excluding them, the Great Golden Immortals are the ones wandering around outside, swindling and bamboozling a crowd into enlightenment or ascension!

These individuals often represent the strongest forces walking outside, and even in the Heavenly Court, they are treated with great respect.

Keep in mind that even the likes of Huanglong True Master, Yuding True Master, Taiyi True Master featured in "The Investiture of the Gods" are only at the Golden Immortal level.

After speaking, Barefoot Immortal pointed at Qin Shou’s forehead, and Qin Shou only felt something in his soul being touched, then he felt nothing else.

Qin Shou asked confusedly, "Big Immortal, what did you do?"

Barefoot Immortal smiled and said, "Nothing much, weren’t you worried that I would read your thoughts? Now you don’t have to worry anymore. Wanting to know certain things was nothing more than a matter of a simple calculation. However, now with the protection of the apricot yellow flag, they should not be able to calculate it. Thinking of this, Qin Shou breathed a sigh of relief.

Nonetheless, Qin Shou still couldn’t figure out why Barefoot Immortal was so good to him!

After Barefoot Immortal had done all this, he said, "I have other matters to attend to, we shall meet again if fate allows."

After saying this, Barefoot Immortal suddenly accelerated and took his leave.

However, before leaving, Barefoot Immortal still cast a seemingly intentional yet unintentional glance at Chang’e...
