Chapter 287: Chapter 284: A New Person【Added for Alliance Hierarch【H not crazy, Demon not alive】】_1

Sun Wukong nodded, giving a thumbs-up, "Nicely done! Rabbit, rest assured, with the brotherly bond between us, whoever bullies you, just tell me!"

"That’s true loyalty!" Qin Shou praised.

Sun Wukong said, "I gotta thank those guys!"

Qin Shou: "mmp!"

...

At dawn, Qin Shou got up to bid farewell and leave.

Reluctant to part, Sun Wukong asked, "Are you really just going to leave like this?"

Shaking his head, Qin Shou replied, "All feasts must end, and since there’s nothing left for me here, I have no choice but to leave. You don’t have to miss me, and don’t spend your time thinking about me. Believe me, you won’t be far behind in getting the boot."

Sun Wukong curled his lips, "That’s impossible! Where will Master find another disciple as obedient and clever as me? As for you, once you’re gone... ah... Rabbit, at least leave something to remember you by."

Qin Shou asked, "What do you want?"

Sun Wukong replied, "We caught a couple of fat bamboo rats yesterday, leave those for me, will you? And that pot that’s like a furnace; it might be a bit fussy, but it does a good job cooking, and it’s convenient, saving me the trouble... hey, hey... Rabbit, why are you running off?"

At the edge of the sky, a voice rumbled like thunder, profoundly commanding—Scram!

"Is this how rolling thunder starts?" Sun Wukong smacked his lips, shouldered the pinecone, and went home.

With the Rabbit gone, Guang Yun breathed a sigh of relief, and Guang Shan, looking at the sole surviving iron bamboo, also heaved a sigh of relief, commenting, "Good, good, at least one shoot is saved. A young shoot isn’t afraid of growing..."

But as Guang Shan stood up, suddenly, the shoot collapsed...

Upon a closer look, Guang Shan flew into a rage, "Rabbit! Did you even spare the roots?! Don’t let me see you again! Or else, I swear, I’ll stew you!"

...

Everyone thought the troublemaking Rabbit’s departure was a good thing, but little did they know, the Monkey continued to create havoc...

Especially the demons in the nearby mountains, who recently hid in their dens, gaunt with hunger; none dared to show off!

Every day, their ears would catch phrases like, "Hey! That boar spirit, looking so feeble, you must have some incurable disease, why not just stew you up?"

"That turtle spirit, you seem so energetic, maybe that’s madness, huh? Come on, into the pot, let’s taste!"

"That toad spirit, flirting with decent toads, do you recognize your crime? I, your dear Sun, have a heap of chilies, just perfect to deal with you..."

...

This voice was like a terrifying demon curse. The neighboring mountains hid their monsters, all feeling threatened, all hoping this great demon lord would clear off sooner rather than later...

Indeed, since Sun Wukong picked up bad habits from the Rabbit, seizing an incidental opportunity to taste the splendid demon meal prepared by Guang Shan, the local demons began to fall on hard times.

Meanwhile, Qin Shou returned directly to the Heavenly Court, entering through the Western Gate, where he indeed saw the dashing Golden Cicada, who was a bit talkative. Catching sight of Qin Shou, he immediately waved and greeted, "Amitabha, Sun Wandering God, what news do you bring from the Lower Realm this time?"

Qin Shou replied casually, "Yeah, a monkey has popped out of a stone."

The Golden Cicada, taken aback, laughed and said, "Surely you jest, friend. How could a monkey pop out of a stone? A stone becoming sentient would be more likely."

"Don’t believe me? How about a wager?" Qin Shou asked.

The Golden Cicada shook his head, "I, a humble monk, cannot wager with others. Since you are so certain, then I will believe you."

Qin Shou was speechless for a moment before shaking his head, "You talk like that, you’ll have no friends to be made. Anyway, I’m off now, we’ll chat later."

Having said that, Qin Shou really did leave.

As soon as Qin Shou exited the Southern Gate, Mo Lihai quickly arrived at the Southern Gate to retrieve the Shadow Printing Stone and inspected it immediately, indeed seeing the scene of the Rabbit departing the Three Immortals Road.

Thrilled, Mo Lihai said to himself, "You little rascal bunny, now with both eyewitness and physical evidence, let’s see how you’ll jump around!"

So, clutching the Shadow Printing Stone, Mo Lihai strode towards the Lingxiao Hall to make his accusation.

Rushing to the steps of Lingxiao Hall, Mo Lihai was stopped by the Taibai Star Monarch.

"Star Monarch, why do you stop me?" Mo Lihai looked at the Taibai Star Monarch, puzzled.

Taibai Star Monarch said, "Heavenly Lord, have you come concerning the Rabbit’s descent to the Lower Realm?"

Mo Lihai replied, "Of course! My brothers were confined because of that Rabbit, how can I let that stand? Now that I have both the eyewitness and physical evidence, I naturally want to sue him, to clear my brothers’ names."

The Taibai Star Monarch shook his head, "Heavenly Lord, if I were you, I would let this go and ask no more of it."

Angered, Mo Lihai retorted, "Star Monarch, how can you say such a thing? Are my brothers to suffer such injustice without redress? Please enlighten me."

Taibai Star Monarch said, "Heavenly Lord, there’s no need to ask too much. Just know that I am looking out for your best interest, and that should be enough. Have I ever tricked or harmed anyone?"

Upon hearing this, Mo Lihai fell silent... Although he was reluctant to accept it, Taibai Star Monarch’s character had been proven through countless examples over innumerable years: he indeed would not trick or harm anyone.

But Mo Lihai could not swallow his pride...

After much deliberation, Mo Lihai gritted his teeth and said, "Star Monarch, I am willing to take this risk. Even if I fail, being locked up with my brothers would be worth it! At the very least, I didn’t give up on my brothers because of the difficulty!"

Taibai Star Monarch nodded slightly and said, "I have only offered a reminder to the Heavenly Lord. If you feel you must go, then go."

Mo Lihai bowed and was about to leave when he turned back and asked, "Star Monarch, can you really not say anything?"

Taibai Star Monarch shook his head and said, "I cannot."

Mo Lihai nodded and stepped into the Lingxiao Hall.

After giving his respects, Mo Lihai stated the case.

"Do you have the evidence?" Taibai Star Monarch asked.

Mo Lihai produced the Shadow Printing Stone, saying, "Here is the evidence!"

The next moment, the Shadow Printing Stone opened, only to reveal... nothing at all!

"How is this possible?" Mo Lihai exclaimed.

Seeing this, Taibai Star Monarch sighed with a look of sympathy in his eyes and stepped forward, saying, "May I propose to the Jade Emperor to deal with this matter as we did before, perhaps?"

The Jade Emperor nodded.

Mo Lihai left the Lingxiao Hall with a tearful tone and a look of disbelief and once outside, he grabbed Taibai Star Monarch and said, "Star Monarch, what on earth is going on? I’ve seen my Shadow Printing Stone..."

Taibai Star Monarch looked up at the sky and said, "The will of Heaven cannot be defied. Why do you bother yourself with this..."

Mo Lihai followed in looking at the sky, standing atop the Lingxiao Hall. What could he see? Suddenly, Mo Lihai shuddered, nearly crying out, but Taibai Star Monarch quickly covered his mouth and whispered, "Do you understand now what should be said and what should not?"

Like a pecking chicken, Mo Lihai nodded, his forehead breaking into a cold sweat as he chuckled bitterly, "Star Monarch, why didn’t you tell me sooner? If I had known the rabbit’s backing was like this, I would’ve never, ever done such a foolish thing! Ah..."

Taibai Star Monarch said, "Enough, no more talk. It’s only for ten thousand years, just some time in seclusion."

With a bitter tone, Mo Lihai responded, "What else can I do? Fine... I’m going."

Having said that, Mo Lihai left.

Qin Shou returned to the moon but did not see Chang’e. Calculating the time, Chang’e should have been in Yuying Hall. Since he had nothing else to do, he decided to go to Yuying Hall to find Chang’e and unwind.

But upon arriving at the Southern Gate, he found that several familiar faces were missing, replaced by one he did not recognize!

This person was three meters tall, with muscles bulging explosively all over his body, wielding a broad axe in both hands, thick eyebrows and large eyes, and an intense and aggressive look between the opening and closing of his eyes.

Qin Shou, curious, moved closer.

The giant gave Qin Shou a glance, and as Qin Shou approached, he raised an eyebrow, bulged his eyeballs, then, grinning wide, he leaned forward and said warmly, "Hey, isn’t this Rabbit Lord? What brings you here? Come, have a seat... Don’t tire yourself."

While speaking, the giant actually pulled out a chair from behind him and placed it on the ground...

Qin Shou was completely baffled by the giant’s sudden change. He tried to reach his forehead on tiptoe but couldn’t quite make it...

The giant immediately bent over and said, "What’s up, Rabbit Lord? Want to touch my head? Go ahead..."

Qin Shou was left speechless. This fellow was too enthusiastic... He knew that Daynight Wandering Gods were unpopular, but he’d never heard of anyone being so afraid of them or sucking up to them like this!

Looking at the giant suspiciously, Qin Shou asked, "And you are... who?"

The giant beamed on hearing the question and said eagerly, "Me? I am Mighty Spirit God, the vanguard general under Pagoda-bearing Heavenly Lord’s command. You can just call me Little Spirit."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou felt a wave of nausea. A towering figure nearly three meters tall, telling a half-meter tall rabbit to call him Little Spirit? Bloody hell, why didn’t he just ask to be called Ling’er?

Mighty Spirit God saw the strange look on Qin Shou’s face and suggested, "Rabbit Lord, if you prefer, you can call me Ling’er, that’s what my mother calls me."

Qin Shou shuddered instinctively and crossed his legs a little tighter. This guy was too eager to please, and Qin Shou was really struggling to cope.

These days, unsolicited favors suggest hidden motives. This burly fellow almost had hearts in his eyes looking at him; could he have a thing for animals? Imagining the scenario, with one above and one below, Qin Shou hastened to tighten his buttocks and said, "Forget it, I’ll just call you Mighty Spirit God. You have fun by yourself, I’ve got to go."

Qin Shou ran off as fast as he could.

Mighty Spirit God watched Qin Shou leave with an admiring gaze, waiting until Qin Shou was out of sight before clapping his hands and laughing, "That rabbit isn’t so bad after all. Why does everyone avoid coming to the Southern Gate... Tsk tsk... Truly a rabbit with connections, doesn’t act all high and mighty, such an approachable fellow..."

Hearing these words, the heavenly soldiers and generals left behind by the four great Heavenly Lords shivered and silently shook their heads, cursing inwardly, "Damn, what a smooth talker with Rabbit Lord!"
