Sun Wukong chuckled and said, "You rabbit, you sure are particular, huh? Fine, washing up here should be enough, right?"
In the midst of speaking, Sun Wukong was about to put his hands into the water nearby.
Qin Shou saw this and his face turned dark, and with another slap on the other’s hand, he exclaimed, "Are you truly foolish or just pretending? Isn’t that soup! You’re the Intelligent Stone Monkey, naturally intelligent, understanding everything as soon as you were born, how can you not know this?"
Sun Wukong rolled his eyes and said, "No matter how clever I am, I’ve just hopped out of a stone, how could I possibly know everything?"
"If you don’t understand, why didn’t you call me dad when I told you to?" Qin Shou complained unwillingly.
Sun Wukong gave him a disdainful look and said, "Even if I don’t understand, I still know that a rabbit cannot give birth to a monkey!"
Qin Shou thought about it and it seemed that was indeed the case.
At the same time, Qin Shou maliciously thought: Why didn’t a bird pop out of the stone? If that had been the case, maybe I would have succeeded.
In the midst of their conversation, Sun Wukong had already run off to a nearby stream, washed his hands, and then ran back.
Unable to bear watching the monkey use his hands, Qin Shou decided to start teaching Sun Wukong how to use chopsticks. This monkey truly was a freak, the Intelligent Stone Monkey with all senses sharp; his mind and body were both demonic geniuses when it came to learning things. He understood everything with one explanation and mastered it with one attempt!
Even after Qin Shou explained to the monkey how the dishes were made, the monkey not only understood but with his intelligence, he even managed to deduce by analogy and tell Qin Shou that too much chili had been added...
Seeing that nothing seemed to trouble this monkey, Qin Shou felt frustrated.
So, Qin Shou pulled out a wine jug, which he had swiped during the Mid-year Festival party.
Later, with the Wine God’s drink and then the Monkey Wine, he had almost forgotten about this thing.
Today, with good meat but no wine, something seemed lacking, so he fetched it.
Qin Shou thought, "You little monkey whelp, you learn fast, but I don’t believe you’re naturally a heavy drinker!"
Sun Wukong saw the rabbit take out a beautiful jug, pour himself a cup, then take a sip, his eyebrows jumping, his face a picture of contentment...
Sun Wukong grew curious and asked, "Rabbit, what is this thing?"
Qin Shou replied, "This is wine! As the saying goes, a banquet isn’t complete without wine. We’ve got dishes, so how can we not have wine?"
"Hey! Interesting, let me have a taste. It smells so good..." Sun Wukong reached for it while speaking.
Qin Shou slapped his hand away and said, "What’s the rush? I’ll pour for you! You try it first, in case you can’t handle your drink and waste my good wine."
Sun Wukong pouted and said, "In this world, there’s nothing that can stump me, old Sun!"
Qin Shou ignored him, poured a cup of wine, and said, "You try it first."
Sun Wukong picked up the cup, imitated Qin Shou’s move, took a gentle sip, let it flow from the tip of his tongue to the sides, back to the center, and finally down the root of his tongue before swallowing!
Qin Shou watched Sun Wukong drink and felt depressed: "Damn, he learns just by watching once, this guy is not the Intelligent Stone Monkey, he’s a super copier!"
Sun Wukong tasted it, smacked his lips, but said nothing.
Qin Shou tentatively asked, "Monkey, how’s the flavor?"
Sun Wukong sighed deeply, looked up at the sky, and said, "This thing, hard to say..."
"What do you mean by hard to say?" Qin Shou also looked up to the sky.
But then Sun Wukong suddenly reached out, snatched the jug, flipped the lid open, and started guzzling!
Qin Shou hurried to snatch it back, but by the time he got his hands on the jug, it was already empty!
Qin Shou yelled, "You damn monkey, are you a wine barrel? That jug had the content of a whole jar, and you drank it all!"
Catching sight of the monkey with eyes bloodshot, standing up, swaying with every step, he laughed and burped, "Burp... wine is best enjoyed this way... Rabbit, got any more?"
Qin Shou simply rolled his eyes at him and said, "No more, bugger off to sleep, we’ve got work to do tomorrow."
Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong laughed heartily and said, "Work? I, old Sun, don’t do work..."
As he spoke, Sun Wukong leaned in mysteriously, lowered his voice, and whispered to Qin Shou, "Rabbit, let me tell you, my master has taught me some magic."
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou dropped his cup with a clang, crying out in his heart, "Damn! Wasn’t he supposed to teach that years later? I was all set for playing the long game, and these guys just don’t play by the rules! Why teach him now?"
Qin Shou was getting anxious... when suddenly, Sun Wukong plopped down next to Qin Shou, flung an arm over his shoulder, and said, "Rabbit, what’s the rush? We’re brothers. What’s mine is yours. Whatever I learn, I’ll come back and teach you, alright?"
Qin Shou, upon hearing this, was immediately overjoyed, "Really?"
Sun Wukong smiled and said, "Of course! Yesterday, my master taught me a set of cultivation techniques, plus a little magic called Somersault Cloud. I can’t jump well yet, I can only leap ten thousand miles at a time, which is barely an entry-level skill."
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou was secretly astonished. No wonder Subhuti Patriarch took him as a disciple—this guy’s learning ability was too terrifying!
Qin Shou had completely forgotten that when he learned magic, it seemed he also mastered it on the spot...
While Qin Shou was still marvelling, Sun Wukong sat down cross-legged and chuckled, "Yesterday my master also taught me a cultivation technique called ’Creation and Reincarnation.’ It is a marvelous technique made up of the essence of heaven and earth. My master said that he merged the techniques of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism to create this unique technique, which is powerful and infinite, and can lead to immortality."
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou’s eyes immediately lit up. What he lacked most now was a cultivation method, and he hadn’t expected it to come to him so effortlessly—straight from Sun Wukong.
Qin Shou quickly scooted over and asked, "Monkey, enough talk, teach me now!"
Sun Wukong chuckled and said with a muddle-headed yet smug look, "Teaching you is certainly no problem, but... I must remind you. This technique has some flaws..."
"What flaws?" Qin Shou was puzzled. Could there be flaws in a Saint’s technique?
Sun Wukong sighed heavily and said, "Master mentioned that although this technique is formidable, it’s ultimately slightly inferior to other techniques when it comes to cultivating at various realms. In other words, it’s powerful as a whole, but each realm cannot reach the state of Great Perfection. He explained that there are techniques in the world that can be cultivated to Great Perfection, but many of them are unique and not shared by others. He couldn’t simply steal them and spread them around, as it would be a matter of reputation."
At this point, Qin Shou suddenly recalled what Dog Xiaotian had said, that among all under Heaven, when it comes to Foundation Establishment, the first strategy of ’Nine Strategies of the Empyrean Heaven’ is unrivaled!
Qin Shou had originally thought that damn dog was unreliable in both words and deeds, and had taken its words with a grain of salt... but now, it seemed there might be truth to them!
Thinking this, Qin Shou became a bit torn. The ’Creation and Reincarnation’ technique was undoubtedly within his reach, immediately learnable.
But Qin Shou was not content...
Playing MMORPGs had given him a bit of an obsession: innate attributes must be fully allocated from the beginning, and the allocation of points must be as perfect as possible. Otherwise, a misstep in early point allocation would essentially make for a failed account later on... He understood this principle well.
So, he was contemplating whether to focus on the immediate opportunity or look to the future and strategize for the ’Nine Strategies of the Empyrean Heaven.’
Sun Wukong seemed to notice the Rabbit’s look of disappointment and chuckled, "Rabbit, don’t be disappointed, do you think you’re the only one who strives for perfection?
"I, Old Sun, wish to learn invincible magic, naturally, I can’t let myself learn second-rate stuff!
"Our master is also amazing. He said that the most powerful aspect of ’Creation and Reincarnation’ isn’t the technique itself.
"It is its all-encompassing nature. This technique integrates the essences of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, making it extremely inclusive. Although it has its flaws, if one finds a better technique in the future, it can always be merged into ’Creation and Reincarnation’ to compensate for its shortcomings and achieve a state of perfection!"
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou’s eyes lit up and he exclaimed, "What are we waiting for? Teach me right now!"
Sun Wukong laughed heartily and said, "Don’t rush, there’s more good news. Do you want to hear it?"
Qin Shou replied, "Yes, of course!"
Sun Wukong leaned in and whispered, "Do you know how many years I spent inside the stone?"
Qin Shou shook his head.
Sun Wukong chuckled and said, "I don’t know either. I don’t even know who my parents are, but there’s something that has always echoed in my mind."
"What’s that?" Qin Shou asked.
Sun Wukong answered, "It’s hard to explain, but I can do it, I know it, I understand it, I just can’t express it. I can feel that thing, and it’s powerful! Today, when I was learning the technique, I tried it out, and when others can shatter a stone with one punch, I can shatter ten times more than others with one punch! And that’s not even my limit!"
Qin Shou was immensely surprised. He suddenly understood why, even after learning a bunch of second-rate techniques, Sun Wukong managed to make a name for himself—this guy’s natural talent truly was frightening!
Sun Wukong continued, "Alright, I’ve only told you about this, even master doesn’t know. Don’t tell others... Once I figure it out, it won’t be too late to teach you."
Qin Shou looked at Sun Wukong with some confusion, now unsure whether the Monkey was drunk or not... But his recognition of the term ’Intelligent Stone Monkey’ deepened. This monkey was definitely not an ordinary wild monkey!
If given the chance, the time, everything...
This Heaven could well be turned upside down!
Qin Shou nodded and said, "Don’t worry, this matter, from your lips, ends with mine, I won’t tell anyone. But now, hurry and teach me ’Creation and Reincarnation.’
As they spoke, Qin Shou took out another pot of wine, and the two of them drank, cup for cup, chatting away.
Sun Wukong, mimicking the tone of Subhuti Patriarch, recited the technique word for word for Qin Shou to hear.
Qin Shou memorized it firmly, contemplating, understanding, and simultaneously growing more astounded the more he listened.
’Creation and Reincarnation’ was indeed an exquisite technique produced by Subhuti Patriarch. The technique might not be the best at each realm, but it was the mildest, the most inclusive! Because of its mildness and inclusiveness, this technique surprisingly did not require cultivators to sit cross-legged in meditation to contemplate life and death!
