Chapter 28: Chapter 28 Our Advantage - Looks_1

Qin Shou played a little trick, avoiding risk didn’t mean he wouldn’t do it...

Chang’e didn’t seem to catch Qin Shou’s implication, but she seemed quite happy anyway.

Chang’e rubbed Qin Shou’s fur and said, "Come on, let’s get you bathed!"

The moment Qin Shou heard "bath," his ears immediately drooped... Bathing alone is no fun!

After the bath, they had their meal.

Chang’e and Qin Shou sat at the doorstep, planning how to spend the upcoming Ghost Festival in half a month.

"You really can’t dance?" Qin Shou asked suspiciously.

Chang’e pouted and said, "I wouldn’t say I can’t dance at all. I danced when I was little, and I also danced back in the Earthly Immortal Realm. But not often... It’s been so many years since I last danced, I’m definitely not good anymore. Besides, it’s the Flat Peach Festival! All the fairies from around the world will be there, and there will definitely be some who are very good at dancing. With my little skill, if I go up there, it’s sure to be embarrassing. Oh my... I feel like we’re doomed."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou raised his eyebrows and suggested, "How about we dig two graves first? We’re doomed anyway if we go, so we might as well bury ourselves before we do. We could choose our own burial site, the size of the coffin, the time of death, and even the pose."

As soon as Chang’e heard this, she slapped him, causing his ear to tilt again...

Chang’e said with a laugh and a scolding tone, "You rascal, can’t you think of something helpful?"

Qin Shou laughed and replied, "That’s more like it. You need to show a will to live, otherwise, I can’t make a move."

Chang’e said, "It’s easy to talk about, but hard to do. Do you have any ideas?"

After thinking for a moment, Qin Shou said, "Actually, there might be a chance. I know a dance that you could probably try!"

"You can dance?" Chang’e looked at Qin Shou’s plump buttocks and chubby little face in surprise, asking, "I’ve been with you for so many years, why have I never seen you dance?"

Qin Shou rolled his eyes and said, "In all those years, when have I ever been well-fed? How can I dance if I’m always hungry? Do you think it’s easy for me to save up this bit of fat?"

Chang’e thought about it and realized he had a point, so she asked curiously, "Can you really dance? What dance are you talking about?"

Qin Shou stroked his chin; although he wasn’t a dancer in his past life, he did have a strong liking for dance and had quite a collection of world-famous dances at home, all of which he had watched and remembered vividly.

Now that he had become an Immortal rabbit, his memory was even better. Every single movement could be perfectly recreated in his mind. Thinking of this, Qin Shou felt reassured and said, "To be honest, I’ve only watched them. I myself could never replicate that kind of feeling. Plus, as you said, it’s the Ghost Festival... The Queen Mother and the Jade Emperor will be there. With all the Immortals gathering, our dance may not compete with those fairies who are masters at dancing."

Chang’e said, "That’s true."

At this, Qin Shou then said with a smile, "But we have our advantages!"

Chang’e’s eyes lit up, and she asked, "What advantages?"

Qin Shou replied, "Beauty!"

Chang’e looked at Qin Shou, puzzled, "Beauty?"

Seeing Chang’e’s confusion, Qin Shou thought for a moment, then said, "Show me some of your dance moves"

After pondering, Chang’e stood up, her jade hands delicately raised, her head slightly tilted back, one foot stepping forward, her eyes gently closing and opening, as if she could electrify with just a gaze, leaving Qin Shou utterly dazed. In that instant, he slapped himself before Chang’e could feel bad for him, then exclaimed, "How can I be so clever!"

Chang’e immediately gave him a look and asked, "So?"

Qin Shou said, "Even though it was just a pose, the moment you danced, your stunning beauty instantly entered the role of the dancer and perfectly merged with the movement! It was fantastic... But all that is nonsense. I’ve summarized the essence for you in just five words."

"Which five characters?" Chang’e asked in surprise.

Qin Shou replied solemnly, "Truly f*cking beautiful!"

Chang’e’s pretty face blushed as she gave Qin Shou a white-eyed look and said, "Pfft, smooth talker. I’ve finished the movement, what’s next?"

Qin Shou said, "Come on, follow me!"

Chang’e didn’t understand why Qin Shou was acting crazy but still followed him.

Qin Shou took Chang’e to the side of their reservoir. Looking down, he could clearly see his reflection.

Then, Qin Shou said, "Strike that pose you just did."

Chang’e gently raised her jade hand, stuck out her chest, arched her backside, slightly lifted one leg, and slightly raised her captivating eyes as though she were gazing into the distance, with a look of confusion and bewilderment on her face... just like a beautiful woman waiting at home, longing for her husband far away.

Qin Shou felt a pang in his heart and muttered, "Which son of a turtle would bear to leave you waiting at home like that? If it were me, I’d never leave you for a lifetime..."

"Yu’er, what’s next?" Chang’e asked.

Qin Shou said, "Look at your shadow. Is it beautiful?"

Chang’e glanced at it and said, "It’s alright... not that impressive..."

Only then did Qin Shou remember that people generally don’t have much of an opinion about themselves unless they are narcissists.

After thinking, Qin Shou said, "Wait a second, let me stand up."

After speaking, Qin Shou stood up, raised a paw, arched his plump behind, and his little tail even gave a quiver. Then he imitated Chang’e’s posture, stepped out with a short leg, his shifty big eyes blinking, and though he didn’t manage to charm anyone, he was full of goofy energy! Qin Shou asked, "Now look at the reflection in the water, compare it, how does it feel?"

Chang’e looked down...

"Pfft... Haha... Haha... you... are so ugly... so hilarious..." In an instant, Chang’e couldn’t keep a straight face anymore and burst into laughter holding her belly.

Qin Shou wasn’t surprised; he was prepared to play the foil before he started, but he hadn’t realized he’d play such a plump one...

"Never had a full meal, yet so plump. If I ate my fill every day, how fat would I get?" Qin Shou smacked his lips, seemingly unconcerned.

When Chang’e had laughed her fill, Qin Shou said, "Do you understand now? The same action, but appearance decides everything. You’re beautiful, anything you do looks good. You’re ugly, whatever you do is slightly off..."

Chang’e seemed to grasp Qin Shou’s point, yet replied, "But those are fairies."

Qin Shou curled his lip and said, "Fairies? They might be fairies normally, but compare with you, they’re all fairies who have descended to mortals from heaven."

Chang’e was puzzled.

Qin Shou said, "Face-first onto the ground..."

Chang’e smiled again and said, "You are too naughty... Yu’er, I found that you are so mischievous when you can speak."

Qin Shoudao said, "If you don’t speak for tens of thousands of years, you will definitely be more mischievous than me."

Chang’e thought about it and realized that made sense, so she didn’t pursue it further.
