It was then that the Taibai Star Monarch regained his composure. Although he found Chang’e’s explanation reasonable, he couldn’t shake the feeling that the dog’s behavior had some deeper meaning. Then, Qin Shou opened his mouth wide, showing off his sharp teeth, and began to bite down, crunching away. In no time, he had bitten out a hollow in the center of the rock, like a large stone basin. Qin Shou sprinkled some osmanthus flowers into it, and poured in some water.

Qin Shou mumbled, "Well, it’s a bit rudimentary, but it’s still tea. It’s not bad for entertaining guests..."

After speaking, Qin Shou’s eyes suddenly lit up—he spotted five wooden cups in the cave!

He rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn’t seeing things; their poor family actually had cups, such luxurious furniture!

It was simply... extravagantly indulgent!

Qin Shou chuckled and said, "Indeed, Heaven is helping me!"

Qin Shou didn’t care how the cups came to be. Since his teeth were so useful, and with so many osmanthus trees outside, making blankets and the like in the future would be a piece of cake.

Entertaining guests with a cup wasn’t too extravagant after all.

So, Qin Shou immediately took two cups, first pouring one full of the clean osmanthus tea, murmuring, "This one’s for Chang’e."

Then, Qin Shou measured the height of the small cup with his hand, shook his head and said, "No good, it’s too tall, better use the big one."

Thereupon, Qin Shou looked around to make sure no one was watching, snickered, squatted over the rock basin, and exerted himself...

The sound of something falling into water echoed.

After he was done, Qin Shou, pleased with himself, picked up the large rock basin, poured the liquid into the teacup, all the while snickering to himself, "This tea is my own invention; from now on, it’ll be called Osmanthus Big Force Pill Tea! Ah, what a great name, a great name indeed! Quite befitting of a cultured person, heh heh..."
