Chapter 178: Chapter 177 Trampoline, Jiucai_1

"Yu’er, what did you say?" Chang’e was taken aback and asked.

Qin Shou immediately shook his head and said, "Nothing, it’s time to eat."

As he spoke, Qin Shou tore open the second layer of wax paper, and in that instant, a nearly perfect aroma of meat wafted through the air!

Qin Shou just sniffed it, and he couldn’t stop his saliva from flowing out!

Chang’e, although a bit better composed, was also desperately swallowing her saliva.

Although neither of them had taken a bite yet, just the smell alone told them that this meat was definitely the most delicious dish they had ever had!

They stared intently and were both dumbstruck!

The meat was actually in the shape of a mountain!

Qin Shou stood it upright, and it looked exactly like the mountains of Guilin, with some of the garnishes directly becoming the greenery on the mountain, the combination was incredibly natural and harmonious, and there was even a pavilion!

It was a feast for the eyes!

At this moment, Qin Shou finally understood why the Land God had said that the God of Food had made a thousand mountains and lakes, he had torn down a mountain!

It was indeed a mountain...

Chang’e couldn’t help herself and asked, "Shall we eat?"

Qin Shou said, "No matter how good-looking it is, it’s still food, why be polite? Let’s dig in!"

Chang’e clenched her little fists in excitement and said, "This dream is so worth it! Please, god, don’t let me wake up..."

While they were talking, Qin Shou had already reached out, and as he tore at the mountain, the outer layer of the mountain was peeled away, revealing a layer of golden, gleaming skin underneath. Gently pulling at it, white strands of fat stretched out, the fragrance was overwhelming, and the oils oozed out from the gaps...

Seeing this, neither of them could hold back any longer. Qin Shou opened his mouth wide and put the meat inside – it melted in his mouth instantly!

The aroma instantly conquered all the taste buds in Qin Shou’s mouth, and he felt like he was about to Ascend, his eyebrows even quivered with delight...

On Chang’e’s side, she too put a small bite into her mouth, then blissfully exclaimed, "Wow..."

Then the two exchanged glances...

Qin Shou said, "Silly girl, you need to keep your figure, maybe eat less?"

Chang’e responded, "Yu’er, you’ve become as chubby as a little pig, maybe you should eat less."

They spoke in unison, then both shook their heads resolutely, replying, "No way!"

Afterward, Chang’e picked up her chopsticks to pick up some food...

Qin Shou went straight in with his hands!

Chang’e glanced over. "Yu’er, did you wash your hands?"

Qin Shou boldly yelled, "What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger; I eat dirt directly, why should I care about this?"

In the midst of talking, Qin Shou had already torn off a large chunk of meat!

How could Chang’e’s use of chopsticks compare to Rabbit’s hand-grabbing technique?

Grinding her teeth, Chang’e threw down her chopsticks and dove into the meal...

Qin Shou immediately said, "Silly girl, can’t you be a bit more reserved? At the very least, you’re a fairy of the Moon Palace!"

Chang’e dismissed the notion nonchalantly, "No way! This is my own home, why should I live so tiringly!"

"Is it tiring outside?" Qin Shou sensitively asked upon hearing this.

Chang’e did not notice the Rabbit’s seriousness and casually said, "Well, after all it’s the Heavenly Court, there are quite a few rules, you have to be cautious and careful. If someone catches you on a minor fault, wouldn’t you be punished? We don’t have any particular background or support, it’s better to be cautious."

Qin Shou felt a tremor in his heart upon hearing these words. Chang’e spoke very naturally, and rightfully so. But Qin Shou couldn’t help but feel a profound guilt. What is this ’no background’? No support? Does the lack of these mean that one should bow down to others and live behind a mask?

Qin Shou said, "What do we need a background for, what use is support? If it’s really necessary, I’ll be your background, I’ll be your support. If anyone bothers you, tell me, and I’ll sort them out for you."

Chang’e blinked, her oily fingers pinching Qin Shou’s nose as she laughed, "You little fool, who would bully me? I don’t provoke trouble, and I respect everyone. No one is going to trouble me. Instead, it’s you, always causing trouble... never giving me peace of mind."

Qin Shou rolled his eyes, "Me, causing trouble? There isn’t a Rabbit in this world more well-behaved than me."

Chang’e simply gave him a disdainful look—it would be a cold day in hell before she believed that.

"Don’t believe me then, let’s eat!" Qin Shou said.

And so, a human and a rabbit, back and forth, completely disregarding their image, ate with greasy mouths and dripping hands...

Though both seemed fierce, each time they subtly slowed down the pace—whether it was to yield to each other or to savor the delicious food a bit longer was unclear...

As Chang’e ate, she muttered to herself, the dream felt so real. When she found out it was all true, she gleefully jumped around with the Rabbit for a good while.

The Rabbit also had its fill of fun on the trampoline, thoroughly enjoying the thrills...

Meanwhile, Qin Shou was also pondering a question: Wondering what the requirements were to become an apprentice to the God of Food. He thought about asking the Land God soon. If that turned out to be viable, then he may as well take up that opportunity. Then... *slurp*... hehe...

With the "Overview of Artifact Refinement" in hand, Qin Shou naturally didn’t need to trek to the Divine Wood Valley anymore. However, as soon as Chang’e left, he couldn’t sit still and dashed toward the Southern Gate, entering the Heavenly Court. He first went to look for the Land God, but not having found him, he saw a goofy Fire Chicken standing at the crossroad staring blankly in the direction of the Fierce Beast Park.

"Ah... with the Rabbit gone, and the Land God absent, there’s no one to watch over, no competition; stealing things just isn’t as thrilling. Ah..." Jiucai sighed deeply, his eyes a little lost and bored.

Just then, a loud shout suddenly erupted from nearby!

"Stop! Little thief, stealing, are you?"

The Fire Chicken, startled, bolted up, its feathers all bristling, and its wings flapped wildly as a ring of fire whooshed out in all directions!

Jiucai jumped in shock, but then quickly regained composure. That voice, so cheeky, and that utterly annoying act of scaring someone from behind—all of it screamed that it was that damn trickster Rabbit!

Jiucai turned around in surprise, only to see a black Rabbit standing there with a puff of black smoke emerging from its mouth... then with a grim, it flashed a set of pearly white teeth and waved his hand, "Jiucai, you didn’t mention your butt can shoot fire too..."

Upon hearing this, Jiucai’s face turned red, and she slapped the Rabbit on the forehead, cursing, "Who’s butt is shooting fire? You scared me, and the flames inside me spread out through my pores, that’s all, it’s not my fault..."

Qin Shou curled his lips, "Pores? So you have hair on your butt, then pores, and with pores comes fire. So, a fiery butt, that’s correct."

"Rabbit!" Furious and red-eyed, Jiucai opened her mouth, whoosh!

Amidst the flames, Qin Shou groomed his fur with his paw, looking at Jiucai with what he believed was his most spirited expression and said cheerfully, "Jiucai, not eating enough? The flame’s too cold, can you turn up the heat?"

Jiucai grew even angrier, "You asked for it, no regrets! Feel my Phoenix True Fire!"
