Chapter 136: Chapter 135 Shameless, Invincible Thickness [5th Update] Subscribe Request_1

After speaking, he happily leapt onto the carriage. With just a thought, the Pegasus neighed, and with a flap of its wings, it soared into the sky.

The process was incredibly smooth; Qin Shou felt as if he were sitting still on the ground inside the carriage. Most importantly, the interior of the carriage had its own universe—despite appearing small from the outside, the inside was actually as big as a soccer field! There were houses, a beach, and even a lake...

Watching this scene unfold, Qin Shou couldn’t help but curse, "Damn it! That pig didn’t have good intentions at all. Hitting up on girls as soon as he meets them—that’s his style! Such a player, such a life of luxury! Lucky for me, I have sharp eyes, or else who knows how many girls he would have... Hmm... From now on, I’ll take care of those girls myself... Muahahaha..."

Qin Shou activated the High-Speed magic, and as expected, he could enhance the carriage with it. In an instant, the carriage’s speed surged, and it disappeared into the firmament in the blink of an eye, shooting past the Southern Gate and leaving Mo Lihai with nothing but a view of the carriage’s rear end before vanishing.

Mo Lihai rubbed his eyes and muttered, "Tianpeng Marshal’s carriage can move that fast?"

No sooner had he spoken than a figure hurried out, clad in golden armor and a black robe with a coronet perched atop his head—it was Tianpeng!

"Uh, Tianpeng Marshal, your carriage just... uh, it didn’t get stolen, did it? Do you need me to chase it down for you?" Mo Lihai asked.

Upon hearing this, Tianpeng’s face flushed. He had often shown off his new treasure by driving the carriage, and many people knew he had it. Now that it had abruptly been taken by a rabbit, he would die before admitting it, as it was too embarrassing...

So Tianpeng snorted and said, "What are you talking about? I met a brother, felt an instant connection, and gave it to him as a gift."

"Given away? Who’s so lucky to receive a gift from the Marshal?" Mo Lihai asked curiously.

Tianpeng really didn’t want to admit that it was a rabbit, but he knew that it was only a matter of time before everyone found out. Instead of denying it and facing the embarrassment of being exposed, he decided to confess, "A rabbit, one from the Moon. Enough about that—I’m off to visit a brother. Bye now."

With these words, Tianpeng Marshal soared into the sky, looking rather pitiful as he took off after his carriage...

"A rabbit... Damn, which rabbit?!" Mo Lihai suddenly realized something, then quickly covered his mouth as if afraid of being overheard. He then muttered, "I have to inform my fourth brother about this. That rabbit is bad news..."

Meanwhile, Mo Lihai was puzzled; if they were brothers and he’d even given away his carriage, why didn’t they ride back together? Why was one riding while the other chasing on foot? Could it be that Tianpeng Marshal enjoyed this sort of thing?

Tianpeng didn’t care what Mo Lihai thought; his mind was obsessed with Chang’e. He was prepared to face any loss or embarrassment, determined to make it through the gates of the Moon Palace that day!

Qin Shou entered the Moon Palace, not bothering to stow away the Pegasus Dragon Carriage and simply leaving it in his courtyard. Besides a nearly withered apple tree struggling to add a dash of green, the rest of the courtyard was bare, with plenty of open space.

Having the carriage there actually added quite a bit of grandeur to the place.

Moreso, Qin Shou wanted to surprise Chang’e when she returned, then take the girl out for a ride in the carriage. He’d already picked out a destination—the Milky Way!

Just as Qin Shou was relishing the thought, someone knocked at the gate.

"Who could it be visiting at this time? Could it be Wu Gang?" Qin Shou wondered as he went to open the door, only to see a familiar face peeking through.

"Ah, my dear Rabbit brother, it’s such a pity we met so late, yet felt such a kinship immediately. I missed you as soon as you left, and so here I am to visit you, haha... Nice place you’ve got here..." Tianpeng Marshal said, chuckling away. Without waiting for the rabbit to respond, he had the gall to walk right in.

Seeing this, Qin Shou raised an eyebrow and said, "Tianpeng, I didn’t say you could come in."

"Come on, we’re such good friends already. I’m here; can you really not let me in? Would you have the heart to turn me away?" Tianpeng said with cheeky insistence.

Qin Shou suddenly realized that he had grossly underestimated this pig’s thick skin!

So be it then...

Qin Shou extended his hand.

Seeing Qin Shou’s action, Tianpeng shivered with goosebumps and exclaimed, "What the hell?"

Qin Shou said, "A friend comes from afar, shouldn’t he bring a gift?"

A gift again?

Tianpeng’s eyes nearly popped out. In less than half an hour, this damn rabbit had asked for gifts three times. How shameless could he be? He completely forgot that he was the one who had started the shamelessness.

Qin Shou’s thick skin was typical; the stronger the opponent, the stronger he became; the thicker their skin, the thicker his. There was no limit to his shamelessness—he believed in being unmatched in his brazenness!

So Qin Shou rubbed his fingers together and said, "When you drop in on a good friend, do you really want to come empty-handed? If it were me, I definitely wouldn’t have the nerve."

"It’s not that... I... I don’t have anything else," Tianpeng genuinely didn’t want to give anything more.

Qin Shou said, "It’s fine if you don’t have anything, you can write an IOU."

Tianpeng: "..."

After much hesitation, Tianpeng said, "Can we skip the IOU?"

Qin Shou opened the door wide and said, "Out the door and turn right, I’m not seeing you off."

"Damn it, you damn rabbit, are you really going to be so heartless? After all, I gave you two treasures!" Tianpeng panicked.

Qin Shou raised an eyebrow and said, "If it wasn’t for those two treasures, you wouldn’t even be able to walk through this door. If it wasn’t for our good relationship, I wouldn’t be asking you to leave."

"Uh... What do you mean by that?" Tianpeng was somewhat puzzled.

Qin Shou continued, with his hands behind his back, sighing, "Ah, you don’t understand, our Chang’e despises those who don’t understand the etiquette of gift-giving. You’ve come all the way to the Moon Palace, and you’ve brought nothing—doesn’t that seem rude? I can tell that you want to make a good impression on our Chang’e, but by showing up like this, do you think you can leave a good impression at all?

When it comes to the importance of first impressions, for example, if someone tells you that I’m despicable, unreliable, and insatiable, and you believe them. When you meet me, if I take something of yours, you’ll certainly think that I’m indeed that kind of person. If I ask you to leave, you’ll think it’s because I didn’t satisfy my greed, but in reality, I’m doing this for your own good.

Ah, since ancient times, good advice has been harsh to the ear, and it’s hard to be a good person, believe it or not, it’s up to you.

On one side is the door, on the other, the inner courtyard—it’s your choice which way to go."

After finishing his speech, Qin Shou shook his head in a manner that radiated an air of worldly wisdom, as if he cared for Tianpeng but was deeply disappointed in him and slowly walked away.

Tianpeng stood there, thinking it over for a long time, feeling that the damn rabbit had rambled on just to wheedle a gift out of him.

But then again, what if what this rabbit had said was true?

If, due to his stinginess, he left a bad impression on Chang’e, wouldn’t the two magic treasures he had invested be wasted? No matter how this rabbit behaved, his core purpose was what mattered most.
