Chapter 131: Listing Testimonial_1

Alright, the book is going live tonight at midnight, and what I want to say is: I am Huang Liang, and my heart is in a panic.

Why panic?

Looking at the competition, it’s either platinum writers or literary giants, and me standing there in my transparency, it’s just too easy to get trampled to death...

To be honest, writing this book was a mix of pain and pleasure. When I got to parts where I was amused, I’d laugh like an idiot... but when I hit writer’s block, I also felt pretty idiotic.

Like right now, I’m about to launch the book, and bam, writer’s block. It’s making it tough to get through...

This book has a lot of original content, original comedy, so many places are the result of revise, revise, and more revision. That’s also why the updates for this book are slow—speed up, and the quality just won’t cut it.

Right now, although there are only about two hundred thousand words, I’ve actually written no fewer than six hundred thousand words. The rest I’ve deleted, making changes too frequently. Sometimes when a good idea strikes, I have to scrap everything before, or revamp it all over.

This habit probably started from Monk’s teachings... When I first started writing about the rich and the ostentatious, I wrote carelessly, updating six times a day without any stress. Later, when I moved on to writing about Monk, I began focusing on the story, setting higher and higher standards for myself, and the number of revisions increased, slowing down the update pace.

Now that I’m juggling two projects, keeping up with rapid updates is really hard. But since the book is going live, I promise at least three updates a day.

Tonight, at midnight, I’m planning a big update and preparing to pull an all-nighter to write, aiming to burst out ten Chapters in one day.

Thank you all for your consistent support for Huang Liang. Your subscriptions, comments, rewards, and various kinds of votes are the greatest support you could give me.

This time, there are so many top-notch authors that I’ve basically given up on competing for any spot on the charts. I’ll just humbly ask for subscriptions. As I always say, I hope everyone, no matter where you’ve read this book, can come to Qidian and show your support—even just a little. It won’t cost more than a few dimes; you probably won’t spend more than one yuan and a bit for ten Chapters. Simply download the Qidian reading app or log in to the Qidian Chinese website, and a subscription would be much appreciated. The initial subscription is tremendously important for this book. If that tanks, it’s pretty much a death sentence because, let’s face it, the charts are out of the question now. All we can do is to try and get some editorial attention—thank you so much.

Enough said, I need to get back to writing. I’ve bought twenty-four cans of Red Bull—time for an all-nighter!
