Chapter 105: Chapter 105 Harmony Express High-Speed Train_1
Wu Gang looked up at the sky and said, "The Heavenly Dao is vast, its principles more complex than the stars themselves, a sea of Dao filled with endless variations. The same principle understood by different people will inevitably yield different results.
No one dares to claim they can perfectly replicate the image of the Heavenly Dao. What they can lead you into is only the Heavenly Dao as they perceive it, a version of the Dao that comes from their own countless factors, not the entirety.
Perhaps it’s a shortcut, but it can also lead to premature closure of thought, hence, when one tries to comprehend the Heavenly Dao themselves, they cannot cross this great divide, forever stuck before the chasm drawn by the other’s understanding of the Heavenly Dao and unable to advance!
Even an incredibly gifted individual who manages to leap over it must expend much more effort and energy, and it is not even a certainty that they will succeed.
Secondly, some harbor ill-intentions and might seize the opportunity to lead others into the Demon Path, causing them to lose themselves.
In short, no matter what, do not open your mind to enter another’s world of the Heavenly Dao. Understand?"
Qin Shou nodded repeatedly and said, "I understand. But what if someone forcefully drags me into it?"
Wu Gang chuckled and said, "If someone really does that, then you don’t need to be polite. You’ll know what to do when the time comes."
Qin Shou was confused and didn’t understand what he meant.
Wu Gang continued, "Alright, the Magic I am about to teach you and the Dao that I speak of are just parts of the innumerable Dao principles. I will only speak of how to comprehend them. As for how much and what exactly you’ll comprehend, that will depend on you."
Qin Shou nodded solemnly.
Wu Gang then began to patiently explain to Qin Shou. Where Qin Shou did not understand, Wu Gang often had the ability to clarify with a single sentence, like pouring enlightenment into him, and Qin Shou’s comprehension speed was incredibly fast! Coupled with Wu Gang’s demonstrations and his own hands-on practice, by dawn, Qin Shou finally felt the existence of the Dao Wu Gang spoke of. It was indistinct and unfathomable, but he grasped the edge of it. In the blur, Qin Shou vaguely felt that above the void, there was a swirling chaos, and within the chaos, it seemed as if something was undulating...
Regrettably, Qin Shou’s foundation was too poor, and when he tried to get a closer look, he just couldn’t manage it.
However, with this foundation and Wu Gang’s teachings, Qin Shou could now simply use the Magic that Wu Gang had talked about. But Qin Shou found the Magic he cultivated was somewhat different from what Wu Gang had mentioned. Wu Gang’s Magic was about speed, but what Qin Shou cultivated was a peculiar kind of Magic!
This Magic was a sort of cure-all, which in itself did not allow Qin Shou to fly or burrow, but in theory, it could accelerate all other Magic. For example, walking, running, riding the cloud, driving the mist, and so on... In other words, while others cultivated vehicles, Qin Shou directly cultivated an engine...
Regardless, with this Magic, Qin Shou could also run extremely fast, soaring at high speed, and he was thoroughly satisfied!
Qin Shou thought it over and named this Magic with a commemorative, era-defining name—Harmony Express High Speed, abbreviated as High Speed!
"Alright, it’s almost dawn. You should head back and rest a bit too. I’m going to sleep for a while..." Wu Gang waved his hand.
Qin Shou nodded and said, "Thank you."
"Make it quick, don’t get caught. Bringing back some tasty food is the best thanks you could give me," Wu Gang said.
Qin Shou chuckled, and with a turn and a step, he vanished into the woods.
By the time he returned to the Moon Palace, Chang’e was sleeping soundly. Qin Shou quietly climbed onto his stone bed, lying there and gazing at the empty expanse of the Moon Palace, he pondered something and dozed off in a daze.
The night passed without incident; the next day, Qin Shou was deep in sweet sleep when Chang’e abruptly dragged him out of bed by the ear.
"What’s the matter?" mumbled Qin Shou, lazily opening his eyes.
Then he saw a delicate hand scooping up water and slapping it onto his face, and after some vigorous rubbing, he felt as though his features would twist out of shape before the other party finally let go.
"Wash your face and brace up, if we don’t depart now, you’ll be late," Chang’e nagged like Qin Shou’s mother while she tidied up the unruly fur on Qin Shou’s body. Qin Shou looked at his reflection in the water, bared his teeth, stretched his mouth into a smile, and chuckled, "Still so handsome! Ah, how can the other rabbits stand it..."
Chang’e knocked on the narcissistic rabbit’s head and said, "Alright, stop fooling around and hurry up to school. Remember, study hard and no cheating or skiving!"
"Lady Chang’e, didn’t the Queen Mother of the West ask you to go to the palace to learn etiquette? Why aren’t you going?" Qin Shou suddenly remembered—it shouldn’t be just him going to school.
Chang’e pursed her lips and smiled, "We start an hour later than you, so I can have another round of sleep."
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou’s face was full of envy, but what could he say? In his mind, he silently cursed: Wenqu, you old coot, why do we have to get up so early? It’s not fair!
Then, Qin Shou rode the auspicious cloud, soared into the sky, and headed straight for the Southern Gate.
Today, guarding the Southern Gate was still Mo Lishou.
As their eyes met across the distance, Mo Lishou immediately looked away, pretending not to see the damn rabbit.
As Qin Shou strutted by, he circled Mo Lishou three times, then smacked his lips and shook his head, "Ah, poor Heavenly Lord, such an early loss of sight..."
Upon hearing this, Mo Lishou subconsciously touched his waist, felt nothing, and his heart ached. He swore that starting tomorrow, he would change shifts! No more morning duties! If he couldn’t stand this damn rabbit, could he not avoid it?
Entering the Heavenly Court, Qin Shou unleashed his High Speed magic and dashed off, his speed fast as lightning as he sped over plains and mountains, and soon arrived near the animal park again.
He stood still, looked around, made sure no one was there, and was about to do something when suddenly he heard a commotion in the forest with tigers howling and frogs croaking...
Then came a roar from the Local God of Land, "Who’s trying to steal something again?"
Almost at the same moment, Qin Shou saw a burst of fire shoot out; without needing a closer look, Qin Shou knew who it was and whispered, "Jiucai!"
The fire hesitated, paused, and as Qin Shou suspected, it was indeed Fire Chicken Taitai Le!
Taitai Le exclaimed, "Damn rabbit, what are you doing here?"
"Me? I’m going to school. But you, it seems you’ve taken something you shouldn’t have, right?" Qin Shou blocked Taitai Le’s path with a sly grin.
Taitai Le glared at Qin Shou and asked, "What do you want?"
Qin Shou stood tall, full of righteous air, and said, "Sir has said that a scholar should embody Righteous Qi! Faced with a chicken thief like you, I must, of course, stand up without hesitation and catch the thief!"
"Pfft! You have Righteous Qi?" Taitai Le rolled her eyes at Qin Shou.
Qin Shou snorted, "What? Don’t believe I can show you the Righteous Qi hidden within my chest?"
"Heh, I’d really like to see that," Taitai Le chuckled.
Qin Shou declared, "As you wish, witness my Righteous Qi! — God of Land, I’ve caught a thief! It is..."
