Rabbit Must Die -

Chapter 101: Chapter 101 Where is My Tree?!_1
Wenqu always felt that the damn rabbit had bad ideas, so he admonished, "Rabbit, don’t mess with them when you have nothing to do."
Qin Shou spread his hands and said, "Teacher, don’t say that, I’ve been good."
Wenqu, along with all members, collectively, "Heh heh..."
Seeing this, what could Qin Shou say? His character was so good, yet he was also helpless!
Wenqu said, "All right, today’s main purpose is to let everyone get to know each other and become familiar with the environment. Starting tomorrow, all of you must not be late for classes, or else..."
Before he could finish the word "else," Wenqu saw the rabbit’s eyes light up.
Wenqu sneered, "You’ll get the paddle!"
Qin Shou laughed, Wenqu laughed too... The big and small foxes exchanged a glance, both holding back their smiles.
Wenqu waved his hand and announced, "Class is dismissed now!"
As soon as the word left his mouth, Wenqu saw a streak of black light flash by; the damn rabbit was practically running on the sound of his word "class" as he dashed out of the room without looking back... A distant voice called out, "See you, Teacher!"
The skill was so practiced, it was clearly the work of an expert!
Wenqu’s face immediately darkened...
The others looked at each other in bewilderment, with Chongba muttering, "If I didn’t have to wear this tortoise shell, I could definitely move that fast."
Taitai Le grinned and said, "That damn rabbit, how could he react so quickly? Could he have trained for this?"
Niu Dali respectfully stood up and said, "Goodbye, Teacher."
Wenqu waved his hand, "Dismissed. Longhuai, take Niu Dali and Chongba to find a place to stay, the rest of you go home."
"Yes, Teacher," Longhuai replied.
The others scattered...
As they were leaving, Taitai Le suddenly said to Mutou, "Mutou, I remember there was an apple tree by the entrance, why is there just a pit left now?"
Mutou looked and said, "Just... just..."
Taitai Le then realized he had asked the wrong person and quickly said, "It was dug up just now, right?"
Mutou nodded, "Yes... yes..."
Taitai Le said, "Okay, once is enough. Who has so much free time to go pulling up apple trees..."
Mutou: "Yes... yes..."
Taitai Le said, "Alright, once is enough, I’m going home too, bye."
After speaking, Taitai Le turned into a streak of red light and dashed out of sight.
Mutou scratched his head and continued, "Yes... yes, the rabbit... rabbit... why... why won’t you let me finish speaking. Uh... It’s getting dark... dark now. Just... it was still bright... strange..."
"That guy over there must be crazy; we’re all having dinner and he’s still standing there daydreaming," a couple of passersby remarked as they walked by in the distance.
"Don’t know, he’s probably a fool."
"Possibly..."
...
"Chang’e, I’m back!" Qin Shou dashed back to the Moon Palace, pushed the door open, and yelled at the top of his lungs.
"Got it, huh... Where are you? Why is there a big tree in the courtyard?" Chang’e opened the window on the third floor, leaned out, and to her surprise, found no sign of the rabbit, but a big tree happily scurrying along the ground.
"Look under the tree! Wenqu thought we were working too hard, so he sent us an apple tree." After saying that, Qin Shou put down the tree and crawled out from underneath it.
Chang’e, skeptical, looked at Qin Shou and said, "Are you sure it’s from Wenqu Star Monarch, and not something you stole?"
Qin Shou spread his hands and said, "How could that be? I’m such a well-behaved guy, how would I steal anything?"
Chang’e flew straight down from the window, then bent over, lowered her head, and stared at Qin Shou intently...
Qin Shou also stared back at Chang’e intently, silently lamenting in his heart, "I loathe these ancient narrow-collar clothes! What’s a man without the mountains to admire?"
Chang’e looked at Qin Shou’s dumbfounded expression and couldn’t see any signs of deceit. Little did she know, this damn rabbit didn’t even have the word ’guilty’ in his heart! Moreover, he had been skiving off the whole time, so where would he find the panic to lie?
"Alright, I’ll trust you this time. But why are you so black?" Chang’e asked.
What could Qin Shou say? He certainly wouldn’t admit that he got burned while flirting with a girl. So after quickly thinking it through, he said indignantly, "You have no idea, the Literature Garden is full of freaks! I ran into the freak of freaks from the Phoenix Clan! That old monster was so vicious, he spewed fire at the slightest disagreement. I got all my fur burned black. If it weren’t for the professor holding him back desperately, he probably would have bitten others as well..."
"Why do I get the feeling you’re describing a dog, not a phoenix?" Chang’e looked at Qin Shou with suspicion.
Qin Shou shrugged and said, "Describing it that way creates a clearer image. Anyway, she’s fierce, aggressive, and unreasonable. Let’s forget about her and focus on the apple tree."
"Fine, but be careful in the future, stay away from her, and don’t get burned again. The apple tree hasn’t borne fruit yet; where should we plant it?" Chang’e asked.
Qin Shou immediately said, "It’s only a matter of time before it bears fruit; naturally, we should put it somewhere easy to reach. I suggest we place it beside the Moon Palace, so we can just open the window and grab apples."
"Good idea!" Chang’e agreed. So, Chang’e dug a hole, and the rabbit carried the tree. In no time, they planted a grand thousand-year-old apple tree.
Meanwhile, at Shushan, outside the gate of the Wenqu Palace.
"Where’s my tree?!" The Wenqu Star Monarch stared dumbfounded at the large pit by the gate.
Longhuai said in shock, "It was here just a moment ago. Who would steal an apple tree for no reason..."
Upon hearing this, Wenqu narrowed his eyes: "Others may not do such a thing, but that damn rabbit might! Longhuai, come with me!"
"Master, where to?" Longhuai followed and asked.
Wenqu said, "To the Medicine King Palace!"
"What are we doing at the Medicine King Palace?" Longhuai asked, puzzled.
Wenqu said with a meaningful tone, "To get something stronger than croton!"
Upon hearing this, Longhuai shuddered and said, "Master, the previous one was strong enough. Kui Yi, Kui Er, and Kui San are still squatting in the toilet."
Wenqu replied, "That was medicine aimed at Kun. The rabbit seems to be a bit different; I’m afraid standard medicine won’t work on him, so we need something even stronger."
Longhuai silently prayed for the rabbit in his heart... then cheerfully scampered ahead, "Master, we have to hurry then, or the immortals from the Medicine King Palace will all be gone, and we’ll be making a wasted trip!"
Indeed, when it came to setting up that rabbit, they all got significantly more motivated...
At nightfall, Qin Shou was once again pushed into a small pool by Chang’e for a bath, and just as Wenqu had said, the blackness from the phoenix fire was hard to remove. Ordinary water, after washing for ages, nearly stripped Qin Shou of his fur without making it any whiter. Out of options, Chang’e also gave up...
Qin Shou was filled with endless resentment towards Taitai Le in his heart...
After the bath, Qin Shou called Chang’e over with a mysterious air.
