Quadruplets’ Charm: The Tycoon’s Hidden Heirs
Chapter 457 - 456: Dad Agreed

Chapter 457: Chapter 456: Dad Agreed

"Why must you divorce me?" Ye Sihan’s voice was hoarse, his chest aching in waves.

He couldn’t imagine life after Xing Ling left, each day passing by.

"Fine, divorce or death, choose one," Xing Ling’s eyes shimmered with tears.

Ye Sihan’s body jolted, his emotions suddenly flaring up in a low growl, "Don’t talk about dying!"

The tears in Xing Ling’s eyes then fell, "Then choose divorce!"

Ye Sihan’s facial features tensed, and before he lost control of his emotions, he turned and got out of the car.

"Take her back." He instructed the driver and slammed the car door.

Xing Ling sat alone in the car, tears falling nonstop.

Crying made her heart hurt, her head ache, pain was everywhere...

Why did Ye Sihan insist on forcefully keeping her by his side? Did he think that by doing this, the past events could be erased?

It wouldn’t, it would only be remembered more clearly.

"I want to get out of the car." Xing Ling lifted her face, stained with tears.

The driver was troubled, "Mr. Ye told me to take you back."

"If you don’t let me out, I’ll jump from the car!" Xing Ling reached for the car door.

Frightened, the driver immediately pulled over to the side of the road.

As soon as the car stopped, Xing Ling jumped out and hailed a taxi on the roadside to leave.

The driver immediately called Ye Sihan, "Mr. Ye, your wife got out halfway and left in a taxi."

"Then follow her! If you lose her, you’re responsible!" Ye Sihan was frantic.

The driver, having hung up, immediately stepped on the accelerator to catch up.

The taxi headed towards a remote area, drawing closer to the sea.

She got out from under the overpass and walked towards the beach by the sea.

She removed her shoes, placed them aside, her fair feet stepping on the fine sand, walking step by step forward.

Standing by the sea, she stared blankly at the vast waters with tearful eyes.

Back then, it was here that she had jumped into the sea, ready to end her life, yet she was saved by someone.

She had actually encountered such a slim chance.

Yet, recalling those emotions now still hurt.

Because Ye Sihan had hurt her too deeply, to the bone, touching her soul.

Just as Xing Ling’s feet touched the water, her body was violently pulled away, falling into a tight embrace.

Next to her ear was the low growl of a man gasping for breath, "What are you doing! I won’t allow you to do this again! I... I agree to divorce, I agree to it..."

Xing Ling’s expression was dazed, her eardrums buzzing from the shock.

She just wanted to feel the temperature of the water, not that she had actually lost her sanity to the point of jumping into the sea.

The arms holding her were trembling, as if the person scared wasn’t her, but Ye Sihan.

But she didn’t plan to explain.

"Do you really agree to let me go?"

Ye Sihan held her even tighter, his dark eyes bloodshot, "...Let’s leave here first, I promise you."

Xing Ling was taken away from the seaside by Ye Sihan and got into the car.

The private room was silent and oppressive.

Xing Ling looked out of the car window.

She knew Ye Sihan was watching her, but she didn’t want to make eye contact with him.

The return was to the Ye Mansion.

At this time, the quadruplets hadn’t come back yet.

Entering the hall, Xing Ling asked, "Where shall we talk?"

"The study."

After entering the study, Xing Ling sat down on the sofa.

Ye Sihan closed the door and sat opposite her, his dark eyes deeply gazing at her as he started, "Before the divorce, let’s have an assessment of my assets. This will take some time."

Thinking that he wanted to divide property, Xing Ling said, "I don’t want any of your things. The only issue between us is the custody of the children. Since I’m the one initiating the divorce, the quadruplets should stay with you."

"Before we received our marriage certificate, I signed a prenuptial agreement with your elder brother," Ye Sihan stood up, pulled open a drawer in his desk, and handed her a document from inside.

Xing Ling took it.

The first page featured the words ’Prenuptial Agreement’ in bold black letters.

She flipped to the second page, her expression one of disbelief from top to bottom.

No matter who initiated the divorce, or who was at fault, all of Ye Sihan’s assets, including the quadruplets, would belong to Xing Ling.

What’s more, it was signed by Ye Sihan and Xing Tian, and stamped.

It was legally binding.

Xing Ling tossed the document onto the coffee table in front of her, "I didn’t sign this, it doesn’t count."

"Since it’s signed, it does count," Ye Sihan looked at her calmly.

"I don’t want it! I certainly won’t take your money!" Xing Ling was very resistant. "Ye Sihan, you did this on purpose, right? How could I possibly take your money! Or is it that my elder and second brothers forced you to do this?"

Ye Sihan walked closer to her, looking down at her, "No one can force me, I did it willingly. You can have the divorce, but you’ll take everything – the property, the children."

"I said I won’t take it!" Xing Ling turned away in frustration, her mentality on the verge of collapse.

She thought that by agreeing to a divorce, all they’d need to discuss was the custody of the quadruplets.

She wouldn’t fight with the quadruplets over custody.

Yet here was a contract she knew nothing about!

It was not a simple division of assets but a contract that left Ye Sihan with nothing!

Xing Ling couldn’t do it!

"There is another way."

"What?" Xing Ling’s gaze towards him was chaotic.

She was a mess.

Like a vulnerable person forced into a dead end, on the brink of collapse.

"We don’t have to divorce, but you can leave Jingdu."

Xing Ling didn’t understand, "Why? What if you meet a woman you want to marry later on?"

"We’ll divorce then."

Xing Ling considered this option.

She could leave Jingdu, leave Ye Sihan, with only the bond of a marriage certificate between them.

But if she didn’t choose this, Ye Sihan would force her to divorce according to the agreement, which she was even less willing to do.

"I agree," Xing Ling weighed the pros and cons for a long time before agreeing.

Ye Sihan stepped forward and held her in his arms, "Will you miss me in the future... even just a little bit?"

Xing Ling didn’t struggle, treating it as a hug before their divorce.

"I might," Xing Ling said ambiguously.

A smile curved Ye Sihan’s lips, but his eyes were filled with tears.

In the end, he let her go, far away from himself.

This feeling was more desolate than facing death itself.

The quadruplets ran out of the school gates and saw their mom and dad from a distance, happily running towards them.

They didn’t know that their mom and dad were going to separate.

Mom was going to leave Jingdu for a far-off place, and she wasn’t going to take them with her.

Of course, Xing Ling wouldn’t tell the children that she wanted a divorce or that she wouldn’t come back after she left.

"Got to work again?" Junjun stood up indignantly, hands on hips.

"Yes, Mom has her own things to do, being responsible for herself and to her colleagues," Xing Ling said. "If you miss me in the future, you can call me or video chat, and you can also visit Mom at your uncle’s place."

"How long will you be gone?" Zhengzheng asked.

Xing Ling replied, "Well, it depends, it might be for a long time, maybe a year, two years like that..."

"Dad agrees too?" Zhengzheng asked.

Xing Ling replied, "Yes, Dad agrees."

"Mom, can you not go?" Xibao’s tears fell as soon as they came.

Xing Ling’s eyes welled up as she touched her little cheeks and gathered all four children into her arms, "I’m sorry, you all are bound to grow up, to become independent, and Mom can’t be with you for your whole lives..."
