Quadruplets’ Charm: The Tycoon’s Hidden Heirs
Chapter 452 - 451: Give Birth to My Child

Chapter 452: Chapter 451: Give Birth to My Child

Xing Ling’s eyes were filled with tears she was determined not to let fall.

She looked up at the surveillance camera, trying to keep herself calm.

She had no idea that Ye Sihan was inside the villa searching for her; though they were so close in distance, it felt as if they were worlds apart.

It was already noon, and she didn’t have the slightest urge to eat anything.

Because she knew there must be something in the food.

If she didn’t eat before, Meng Jilin would force her to eat.

Now that he wasn’t there, she absolutely refused to eat.

She hated the feeling of weakness in her body.

After failing to find the cat in the villa, Ye Sihan called the bodyguards to stay alert.

Once he went out, he instructed Xiao Yu to delete all the surveillance footage of him from the villa.

After Ye Sihan stepped out of the villa area, Xing Ling felt an emptiness in her heart and subconsciously looked up at the surveillance camera overhead.

There was nothing.

Meng Jilin finally came down from the operating table and went straight back to his resting room. He turned on his phone to check the surveillance in the villa’s basement.

The villa’s surveillance was separate from that of the basement; otherwise, Ye Sihan would have found out last time.

In the basement, Xing Ling lay quietly at the edge of the bed, her fingers caressing the cat on the floor.

The sandwich on the table was untouched.

"Why aren’t you eating?" Meng Jilin turned on the sound and asked.

Xing Ling and the cat both shuddered.

Realizing the voice came from the monitor, she chose to ignore it.

"There’s no drug in the sandwich," Meng Jilin said.

Xing Ling remained silent.

"Are you planning to keep not eating? Or do you want me to feed you using medical means?"

"...I’m not hungry."

"Then eat later. I haven’t finished here and won’t be home until the evening," Meng Jilin said, as if he were joyfully checking in with his wife.

Xing Ling just felt nauseated.

"With Niannian accompanying you, does that improve your mood?" Meng Jilin asked. "What else do you want? I’ll buy it for you."

"I want to go out," Xing Ling said.

"Where do you want to go, my wife?" Meng Jilin asked.

"Meng Jilin, what the hell do you want? I would rather die than be with someone like you!" Xing Ling said with hatred.

"That’s why I drug you, until you obey me willingly," Meng Jilin admitted. "Don’t get any funny ideas. Even if you starve yourself today, regain your strength, and knock yourself out against a wall, I can still save you. I am a doctor, after all."

"Meng Jilin, I beg you, Tang Yu was very kind to you once, wasn’t she? Why do you have to be like this? Can’t you like her in another way? Besides, what if Tang Yu comes back one day and finds out you have another woman? Wouldn’t she be unhappy?" Xing Ling tried to persuade him.

"She won’t come back. If she really could, I would kill you," he said.

Xing Ling was taken aback, unsure what to say next.

Because she was Tang Yu.

Should she tell Meng Jilin the truth?

No, it would be of no use.

She would still be locked up here, and it might even drive Meng Jilin crazier.

As she remained silent, no more sound came from the monitor.

Xing Ling tried to speak with Meng Jilin, "Are you still there?"

No response.

Xing Ling felt the strength slowly returning to her body; otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to talk so much without gasping for breath.

Probably Meng Jilin had noticed as well but didn’t think much of it, believing she couldn’t cause any trouble.

As if speaking to him, even if she hit the wall, he could still save her.

But Xing Ling wouldn’t gamble with her life; she intended to get out alive.

She had sustained serious injuries and wouldn’t be sent to a hospital, instead, Meng Jilin would heal her right here in this basement.

This meant she couldn’t use her injuries as a pretext to leave, not even for a step.

Xing Ling picked up the curled-up cat off the floor, "Tell me, what should I do? Am I destined to stay in this daylight-less basement forever?"

Especially since she had once seen a foreign movie.

A female college student was kidnapped on her way to school by a middle-aged man, locked in a basement, violated daily, giving birth to a child each year. After several years, she had several children, all confined in that basement.

She wasn’t rescued until she was thirty years old.

It was also because one of the children fell ill and needed to go to an outside hospital, that finally gave her a chance to seek help.

Now, Meng Jilin, other than being psychologically disturbed, was intelligent in all other respects and was a highly skilled doctor.

In such circumstances, what way is there to get out...

When it turned dark, Meng Jilin finally returned home in his car.

The first thing he did upon entering was to check for signs of intruders, then he reviewed the surveillance. After seeing no abnormalities, he went to check on Xing Ling in the basement.

The door opened, and there was no sign of Xing Ling on the bed.

Just as his mind was processing this, Xing Ling, hiding behind the door, leaped out and smashed the chair in her hands onto the back of Meng Jilin’s head.

Meng Jilin grunted and fell to the ground.

Xing Ling, watching Meng Jilin on the floor, revealed an expression of relief and, not daring to delay, turned and ran for the outside.

After all, her strength was limited, and she didn’t know how long Meng Jilin would remain unconscious. She had to run while she had the chance!

Xing Ling ran out of the door, escaping her cage.

A door in front of her made her freeze, her complexion turned pale, her body ice cold.

In a panic, she tried to pull at the door, but it was locked, immovable.

Hearing movement behind her, Xing Ling, terrified, turned around to see Meng Jilin holding his head as he stepped out. Her heart nearly stopped.

"You’re so heartless. How could you bear to do it? But, fortunately, I’m smart enough to have set up two doors," Meng Jilin said, his face twisted into a distorted smile as he lifted it.

Watching Meng Jilin approaching nearer, Xing Ling trembled in fear, her breaths quickening, "Don’t come any closer... stay away!"

Meng Jilin grabbed her throat in one swoop, pressing her against the iron door, which made a loud clanging sound—

"Ah!"

"How dare you lay a hand on me? Do you do the same to Ye Sihan? In what way am I inferior to him?" Meng Jilin asked viciously, leaning in to kiss her.

"Mmmm... get off!" Xing Ling turned her face away, resisting, thrashing.

"Give me a child," Meng Jilin said as he kissed her neck, his breathing becoming rougher.

"Don’t... Please don’t... Meng Jilin, please don’t do this to me..." Xing Ling collapsed, crying and pleading as she realized she couldn’t fight back even with her strength restored. "Even if you like me, can’t you be normal? I’ll divorce Ye Sihan..."

Meng Jilin paused, raised his head to look at her, lovingly wiped the tears from her face, "What did you say?"

"Actually... I’ve already asked Ye Sihan for a divorce, but he has been unwilling. I gave him a month, even if he doesn’t agree, I’ll still leave."

"Why get a divorce?"

"You know, he sees me as Tang Yu’s replacement, and expects me to look after the quadruplets. I don’t want to be someone else’s stepmother..." Xing Ling pretended to be pitiful.

Meng Jilin laughed after looking at her face for a while, "So, I helped you. You won’t have to be a stepmother to others, I can make you a mother."

"I can’t have children," Xing Ling suddenly remembered, hurriedly speaking. "What’s the use of a woman who can’t bear children?"
