Chapter 445: Chapter 444: What Did You Talk About on the Phone?
When she looked forward, there was another click.
Xing Ling, seeing that the photo had been taken, pulled her hand off Ye Sihan’s shoulder and turned to walk in another direction.
Because she knew that since they were out for fun, taking photos was definitely an integral part.
She had known from the start that the bodyguards would follow and take photos and videos.
There were certainly more than those two snapshots of her and Ye Sihan in the camera.
They played until dark and had dinner in an upscale restaurant in the amusement park.
After eating, they continued to play.
In the evening, there were large fireworks.
Ye Sihan was pulled by Xing Ling into a super large and high Ferris wheel, and as they reached the sky, the fireworks burst open above them.
Xing Ling looked up, captivated by the beautiful fireworks.
She couldn’t help but capture them with the camera.
In Xing Ling’s eyes, there were fireworks; in Ye Sihan’s eyes, there was only Xing Ling.
Only by watching her continuously like this, within his field of vision, could his heart avoid such pain.
The tourists below were similarly captivated by the fireworks, using them as a backdrop to capture beautiful moments.
When Xing Ling looked down, her wrist tightened, and she found herself sitting on Ye Sihan’s sturdy thighs, "What are you doing?"
"Let me hold you," Ye Sihan’s thin lips were just millimeters away from her pale and delicate nape.
The hot breath easily blew upon her.
Causing Xing Ling’s skin to shiver.
Her heart was pounding.
The quadruplets were taken by the bodyguards to play elsewhere, now it was as if they were enjoying a world of their own.
"Is it beautiful?" Ye Sihan’s voice was husky.
"Yes." Xing Ling, like an assassin, hoped the Ferris wheel could go faster so they could get down sooner.
Although she knew Ye Sihan wouldn’t do anything excessive to her, this ambiguous atmosphere was truly dangerous, making her flustered.
She wanted to escape.
As time slowly passed by, Ye Sihan just quietly held her, not doing anything else.
The fireworks continued to burst overhead, adorning this silent scene like the cherry on top.
It was breathtaking.
Ye Sihan gazed at her profile, asking, "Nervous?"
"What’s there to be nervous about." Xing Ling denied.
"Can you hear my heartbeat? It’s very fast," Ye Sihan asked.
Xing Ling didn’t speak, unsettled, thinking what was he trying to convey?
Yet, her liking for Ye Sihan was something she couldn’t bear right now.
She would rather know nothing.
"I don’t know."
"Feel it for yourself." Ye Sihan pulled her hand to his left chest.
The scorching heat, the strong and forceful heartbeat, transmitted over dominantly.
Xing Ling, feeling ill at ease, wanted to pull her hand back, but Ye Sihan’s grip was strong, as if it was pressed by a block of iron, firm and unyielding.
Her slightly reddened fingertips trembled, as though... she was delving into Ye Sihan’s heart.
However, as she thought earlier, she didn’t want this at all.
This was entirely coerced.
When Ye Sihan’s thin lips pressed upon hers, he murmured hoarsely, "I love you so much."
Xing Ling’s body uncontrollably shuddered, unsure if it was because of his confession or the kiss.
Her mind went blank for a moment, and it was as if time around her ears had stopped flowing.
Coming to her senses, Xing Ling struggled, trying to push him away.
Ye Sihan released her lips but still held her hand firmly, asking, "What’s wrong?"
"Don’t say things like that to me, I don’t like hearing them," Xing Ling said, her face white with displeasure.
"Okay, I won’t say it anymore," Ye Sihan’s heart felt like it was splitting, yet his dark eyes remained deep and accommodating, filled with love.
Xing Ling turned her face away; the night sky was adorned with colorful fireworks, but it seemed like someone else’s world.
Her world couldn’t be brightened by the beauty of fireworks.
And wouldn’t be stirred by a single sentence from Ye Sihan.
Don’t waste your efforts.
After coming down from the Ferris wheel, Xing Ling’s breathing finally normalized.
The air entering her lungs was natural, not the domineering breath of Ye Sihan.
"Mommy, the parrot just talked!"
"Greet us!"
"So much fun!"
"I want!" Xibao said.
Ye Sihan signaled to the bodyguard, "Go buy."
"Yes," one of the bodyguards went.
"Mommy, is the Ferris wheel fun?" Junjun asked.
"It’s so high, are you scared?" Haohao asked.
"It’s okay," Xing Ling said with a smile.
"Mommy, did you see the fireworks?" Haohao asked.
"Such beautiful fireworks!" Xibao exclaimed.
"I saw them, and I took a lot of photos. I’ll show you when we get back," Xing Ling said as she rubbed their little heads.
"Did you and Dad take pictures?" Zhengzheng asked.
"...We did," Xing Ling said.
It wasn’t until after nine o’clock that they got back home.
On the way, the Quadruplets slept in the car, completely knocked out by the gentle rocking.
When they arrived home and were put on the bed, they didn’t show any sign of waking up.
Xing Ling wanted to take care of it herself, but the maid said, "Mrs. Ye, let us do it. You should get some rest early."
Xing Ling didn’t take the work away from them; after watching for a while, she left the room.
As soon as she stepped out of the room, she saw Ye Sihan waiting for her at the doorway.
Then, both of them went back to the master bedroom together.
"You shower first," Ye Sihan said.
So Xing Ling entered the bathroom.
After she was done, Ye Sihan went to shower.
Right as Xing Ling sat down on the edge of the bed, the cell phone on the nightstand rang. It was her phone.
She glanced at the caller ID; it was Meng Jilin.
Why is he calling her at this time?
She walked to the balcony to answer, "Dr. Meng, what’s the matter this late at night?"
"Is it convenient to talk?"
"Go ahead."
"I’m taking Niannian to get neutered tomorrow. Will you be there?"
"...Okay," Xing Ling hesitated, then said.
"Around what time will you be free? If you’re filming tomorrow, how about noon?" Meng Jilin asked.
"I only have a few scenes in the morning. I’ll call you after I’m done?" Xing Ling asked.
"That works, I’m off tomorrow anyway," Meng Jilin said. "Well then...good night."
"Good night," Xing Ling hung up the phone, turned around, and saw Ye Sihan standing at the bathroom door watching her.
From a distance, those dark eyes appeared very cold.
Xing Ling held on to her phone, steadied her emotions, and walked into the bedroom.
She set the phone on the nightstand and got into bed.
"Whose call was that?" Ye Sihan drew closer to the bed and asked.
"A friend," Xing Ling replied nonchalantly. Just as she lay down, her whole body was yanked over, "Ah!"
She ended up lying on top of Ye Sihan, looking down at him at the angle of their four eyes meeting.
"What friend?"
"Must you ask?" Xing Ling didn’t want to answer him.
Ye Sihan’s expression turned icy, his chest heaved with suppressed emotion, and suddenly, he fiercely grabbed the back of her head and sealed her little mouth—the one that caused his heart to ache—
"Mmm!" Xing Ling was taken aback and struggled.
But she couldn’t break free from Ye Sihan’s grip and soon ran out of strength, leaving her with no choice but to accept the deep kiss.
As her body softened, he flipped over and pinned her underneath him, their lips not parting throughout—
"Mmm...uhm..." Xing Ling’s little hands weakly beat against his firm arms.
The next second, her wrists were pinned above her head.
Ye Sihan looked up, staring intensely at her flushed face.
Xing Ling was panting, her gaze weak and powerless.
Ye Sihan’s hand glided over her waist and moved downward—
"No...not there!" Xing Ling’s body suddenly trembled, "Don’t..."
"What did you talk about on the phone?"
