Quadruplets’ Charm: The Tycoon’s Hidden Heirs -
Chapter 363: I’ll Go with You
Chapter 363: Chapter 363: I’ll Go with You
When they arrived at the vast mansion, Xing Ling asked, "Where is this?"
"Mom, this is our home!" Haohao looked at his mother strangely.
Xing Ling pursed her lips and didn’t say the words ’this is not my home.’
Don’t make the quadruplets feel uneasy.
After all, why should the little kids be upset?
Upon entering the hall, a middle-aged man resembling a servant approached, "Mr. Ye, young masters, miss..."
His voice trailed off.
Xing Ling looked at the man’s shocked face, seemingly unsurprised.
She could confirm that her face and the quadruplets’ mother’s face were alike enough to be mistaken for each other.
She didn’t bother to explain, since Sihan would take care of it.
"Miss Tang?" Uncle Wen couldn’t believe his eyes and finally spoke after a long pause.
Xing Ling thought, oh, the quadruplets’ mother’s surname is Tang.
"Proceed," Sihan said gravely.
"Yes," Uncle Wen quickly recovered and took another glance at Xing Ling as he turned around.
It can’t be, can it? But she looks so much like her.
"Mom, let’s wash our hands!"
Xing Ling was dragged by the quadruplets to the washroom to wash their hands.
It seemed that washing hands together with their mother made the quadruplets especially happy.
The door to the washroom was left ajar, and through the crack, a black figure filled the space, silently present like a beast lurking in the shadows, watching every move of its prey, ready to attack at any moment.
A few minutes later, Xing Ling and the quadruplets sat at the dining table with Ye Sihan occupying the head seat.
Seeing the dishes on the table, their eyes lit up.
Although she was also from a wealthy family, because she lived abroad, some delicacies were simply not available.
Especially Chinese cuisine, which was not as comprehensive.
Now, there were many dishes on the table she had never seen or tasted before.
No sooner had Xing Ling put a delicious morsel in her mouth than Xibao offered her a piece of meat—
"Mommy, eat."
Xing Ling, with food still in her mouth, opened it and accepted Xibao’s feeding.
She was practically eating in a fluster.
"Thank you! It’s so delicious!"
Xibao smiled, her chubby cheeks rosy and particularly happy.
Then came Haohao next to Xibao, also offering her food.
Next were Junjun and Zhengzheng on the other side.
Junjun even stood on the chair to feed her.
Xing Ling was utterly overwhelmed, passively receiving the offerings.
Ye Sihan, chopsticks in hand, watched Xing Ling unblinkingly, as if he was determined to discern something from her.
Uncle Wen, standing not far away, was also observing Xing Ling.
And he noticed Mr. Ye observing Xing Ling’s expressions.
He really wanted to ask, is this really Tang Yu?
"You can’t deny, the food is truly delicious. I need to take a picture of this and have my chef make it for me," Xing Ling pulled out her phone and started snapping photos of the dishes on the table.
"I don’t understand what Mom is saying," Junjun said.
"It’s nothing, just talking to myself," Xing Ling smiled at him.
She wondered, when would this beautiful misunderstanding be resolved?
From the looks of it, Ye Sihan didn’t seem inclined to clear things up. Was he planning to have her play the cheap mom for the sake of the children?
After the meal, the quadruplets still clung to her, pulling her to play around the mansion, kicking a soccer ball.
Xing Ling was a bit stunned when she saw Ice Castle, especially the penguins waddling around. It wasn’t too much for the north to have Emperor Penguins, but to see them in a private mansion was truly shocking.
She guessed they were kept for the children.
As they were playing, Uncle Wen approached, "Miss Xing, your phone is ringing. It’s in your bag, and I didn’t feel comfortable getting it for you."
Hearing him address her that way, Xing Ling knew that Sihan had revealed her identity.
She turned to leave, but after just two steps, her clothing was tugged.
Turning around, she saw the quadruplets’ tense and fearful expressions.
"Mom, where are you going?"
"Don’t leave!"
"Wherever Mom goes, we’ll go too!"
"Don’t go!" Xibao’s entire body clung to Mom’s leg.
This made it difficult for Xing Ling to move an inch. She said, "I’m not going anywhere, just answering a phone call."
"Bring Mom’s phone over!" Junjun commanded like a little adult to Butler Wen.
Xing Ling could only say to Butler Wen, "Sorry to bother you."
By the time Butler Wen had brought the phone over, the ringing had already stopped.
Xing Ling checked the caller ID; it was her second brother who had called.
"Can I step aside to make a call? Is that okay?" Xing Ling still needed to ask the quadruplets for permission.
She had no choice; she was unable to take even a step with them crowding around her!
Xing Ling was afraid that her sound caught by Xing Yanjie would suggest that she might not be on the film set.
If that happened, she would face another round of questioning, which would be troublesome.
After dialing back, Xing Yanjie’s voice came through, "Why didn’t you pick up?"
"I was just filming; as soon as we finished, I called you back." Xing Ling turned around to see the quadruplets obediently standing at a distance, indeed watching her the entire time, not even going to play.
She thought, isn’t this too insecure?
"Haven’t you finished yet?" Xing Yanjie asked.
"It’ll take a little while longer." Xing Ling guiltily looked to the sky and then accidentally caught sight of a dark figure in the reflection of the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Tall and slender, the suit jacket removed; trousers and shirt outlined his muscular lines, broad-shouldered and narrow-waisted, sexy yet with a strong sense of aggression.
Because the light inside from the floor-to-ceiling windows was dim, his face wasn’t very clear, only the uncomfortable sensation of being stared at was perceived.
"Ling, are you listening?"
"...I’m looking at the script, what did you say just now?" Xing Ling turned around, her back facing that way towards the floor-to-ceiling windows.
"I’ll visit the set at noon tomorrow. Is there anything special you want to eat?" Xing Yanjie asked.
"Don’t come over, it’s so far away." Xing Ling didn’t think she was being delicate, she was someone who could endure any kind of hardship.
"No, it’s so taxing on set, and if the food is bad, your second brother will be distressed."
"Just hold on for another ten days or so." As soon as Xing Ling said this, she thought of Ye Sihan’s prohibition against her leaving Jingdu, and instantly felt annoyed.
Perhaps the call had gone on a bit too long, as her leg was suddenly hugged again.
Xing Ling looked down to see it was the girl, and hurriedly hung up the phone.
No sooner had she hung up, than the other three boys came over as well.
"Mom, come do homework with us? After homework, let’s all sleep together!" Zhengzheng pulled his mom’s hand and said.
In the study, Xing Ling sat alongside, keeping company with the four children doing their homework.
She could keep them company with their homework, but living here...?
That was hardly practical.
As soon as Xing Ling’s behind tried to leave the chair, four pairs of big eyes stared at her in unison, freezing her in place.
Forcing a laugh, "You keep writing, I’ll go find your dad. Is that okay?"
My older brother and second brother never watched me like this!
And to think I’ve been defeated by four adorable kids!
"Mom, I’ll go with you!" Zhengzheng stood up, walked in front of Mom, and threw himself against her, tilting up his lovely and cute face.
Just as Xing Ling was about to speak, the study door was pushed open.
Ye Sihan came in, glanced at Zhengzheng on Xing Ling’s body, "Finished?"
"Not yet." Zhengzheng shook his head.
"Dad, Mom wants to talk to you." Junjun said.
"If you have something to say, say it here." Haohao.
Xibao looked at her dad, with an almost ’let Mom leave and I’ll cry’ threatening stance.
"She won’t leave; she’ll sleep with you tonight." Ye Sihan glanced at Xing Ling, "Come out."
Xing Ling saw Ye Sihan leave the study, stood up and followed him out, and the quadruplets didn’t cling to her this time, not letting her go.
It seemed as if what Dad said made it as if Mom couldn’t leave.
Such confidence, huh?
