Quadruplets’ Charm: The Tycoon’s Hidden Heirs
Chapter 359: Have I Met You Before?

Chapter 359: Chapter 359: Have I Met You Before?

Xing Ling pulled him back, "Don’t, don’t, don’t, let’s talk this over."

Ye Sihan lowered his head and averted his gaze, looking at the excessively pale hand on his black suit, as if it was just fished out from milk, clean and pretty.

Realizing something, Xing Ling hurriedly let go of her hand, "The scenes here only take about ten days to shoot. After that, the rest needs to be filmed back in Hollywood. How could I just stay here indefinitely?"

"That’s your problem," Ye Sihan said and then left.

Standing in place, Xing Ling raised her fist and shadowboxed the air, gritting her teeth in anger.

Is this guy mentally ill?

He appeared out of nowhere in the place where she was sleeping, forcibly kissed her, and now is asking her to stay in Kyoto equally inexplicably... This is just too baffling!

By the time Xing Ling had adjusted her emotions and returned to her seat, Xing Yanjie was still talking with Ye Sihan.

Listening closely to their conversation, it was actually about Ye Sihan being interested in a collaboration.

Xing Ling sneakily glanced at Ye Sihan, thinking, I haven’t even agreed to stay yet, and he’s already opened his doors?

What if her second brother sets up the branch office successfully, and she slips away?

It’s not hard to imagine the consequences; she would get locked up by Ye Sihan for a beating.

By then, if her older brother came to rescue her, ah, wouldn’t it cause absolute chaos?

Afterward, Xing Ling had no further interaction with Ye Sihan, and they parted ways after finishing their meal.

Xing Ling sat in the passenger seat, her head tilted as she looked out the window.

Xing Yanjie asked keenly, "Did you run into Ye Sihan when you went to take a call? Did anything happen?"

"Why does Second Brother ask?"

"Ye Sihan, after returning from the restroom, agreed to the collaboration between the branch office and the KING Group," Xing Yanjie couldn’t help but suspect.

"I was in the lounge next to the restroom making a phone call; I didn’t see him," Xing Ling didn’t dare say.

She knew that the moment she mentioned the danger Ye Sihan posed to her, her second brother would immediately withdraw and give up on the Kyoto branch office.

But the Xing Family had been preparing for so long, to give up just like that, she, a family member who depended on them for food and clothing, would feel guilty.

Could it be she should give up Hollywood and stay in Kyoto with her second brother to run the company?

The key issue is, she didn’t know what Ye Sihan’s intentions were!

Xing Ling, after much thought, felt that Ye Sihan had taken a liking to her.

Would any man complain about having one too many mistresses?

Xing Ling flipped down the mirror above and looked at her face from side to side, thinking being too good-looking was a nuisance.

"What did Big Brother say?" Xing Yanjie asked.

"He just checked on my situation over here. Big Brother is very busy, didn’t talk for long," Xing Ling pushed the mirror back up. "As for Second Brother, all you know is to chat with Ye Sihan, completely ignoring my well-being, beware I might complain to Big Brother about you."

She figured it was definitely because Xing Yanjie talked too much, prompting Ye Sihan to think of snatching someone else’s girlfriend.

What kind of twisted taste was that?

"Where did I ignore your well-being?" Xing Yanjie said, feeling wronged.

"How did you not? I kicked you three times under the table, and you were like completely oblivious!"

"When did you kick me?"

"Didn’t you?" Right after Xing Ling asked this, she realized the irregularity of the situation at the time and was taken aback.

Xing Yanjie also realized something was off, almost rear-ended the car ahead, and managed to stop in time. He turned and glared at his little sister, "You kicked Ye Sihan!"

"I...I thought it was you," Xing Ling said with an embarrassed flush on her face.

No wonder, every time she kicked, Ye Sihan looked at her.

She even thought there was something on her own face.

How did Ye Sihan look at her in the restroom at the time?

Xing Ling felt like she could find a hole in the ground to crawl into.

"I got it, Ye Sihan must have thought you were trying to flirt with him, that’s why he agreed to the collaboration," Xing Yanjie analyzed seriously.

"Really?" Xing Ling guessed, so was that why Ye Sihan let her stay in Kyoto after the misunderstanding? Could it be that one day he would expect her to offer herself to him? Once her unhealthy thoughts took hold, they were unstoppable, like a flood, "Ah, ah, ah! No way, no way!"

Xing Yanjie was startled, quickly trying to reassure her, "It’s not that serious, I’ll explain it to him when the time comes. After all, you are currently my girlfriend."

Xing Ling’s head slumped weakly against the car window.

She felt it was very serious.

So serious that she couldn’t find a solution.

Returning to my apartment, I flopped onto the bed after a shower.

Xing Ling was browsing through entertainment gossip on her phone when she came across a video of Wu Qianqian being interviewed.

Highly educated, a philanthropist, talented and beautiful, and also kind; her resume was truly impressive.

She immediately gained a surge of fans.

Even a jewelry brand publicly supported her, and some speculated that they might be looking to endorse her. The jewelry brand said that Miss Wu Qianqian’s demeanor fit their brand perfectly.

Very official.

Some people believed that this statement was as good as a direct acknowledgment.

Fans of a certain actress, who was previously considered a top contender for the jewelry endorsement, attacked Wu Qianqian, saying she looked like a country bumpkin, one who obviously hadn’t seen much of the world, and they questioned where she got her so-called charm from.

Xing Ling didn’t want to gossip behind someone’s back, but she couldn’t help thinking that this fan had rather vicious eyes.

Although Wu Qianqian was of Chinese descent, she had always lived a very bottom-tier life abroad.

Even getting a job as a stunt double was a struggle for her.

Fortunately, her looks were still acceptable; she had a slender figure, and while her features weren’t stunningly beautiful, they were neat and pretty.

However, her type of looks were a dime a dozen in the entertainment industry; standing out really required some unique skills and cunning.

The next morning, Xing Ling’s scenes weren’t many, so the director asked her to consolidate them into the afternoon’s shoot, allowing her to sleep in.

But perhaps because Ye Sihan had put so much pressure on her, she woke up early anyway.

On the living room coffee table, there was a note left by Xing Yanjie, written in English with beautiful, forceful handwriting.

It said he was going to look at an office building which he might finalize soon.

Likely, he would be busy with this for the next few days in Kyoto.

Plus, meeting some of the city’s rich and influential people.

Now, with a word from Ye Sihan, things were much easier to handle.

Presumably, setting up the branch office would only take a matter of days.

Xing Ling sighed heavily with a sense of overwhelming burden.

Her second brother had made breakfast at home—a Western meal she didn’t really want to eat.

Though she had spent her entire life abroad, she preferred Chinese food. It was strange—had she traveled to China before and fallen in love with the food here?

She couldn’t remember.

Her older and second brothers told her they used to travel to China often, but after falling off a boat into the sea, she couldn’t remember anything from before.

Xing Ling believed it, for she truly hated the sea.

Her second brother must have been in a hurry to leave and didn’t have time to prepare anything else, so Western breakfast it was.

But it was hardly appreciated.

Xing Ling petulantly went out to find something else to eat.

She searched for breakfast spots on her phone.

There was one with great fame, but it was a bit far away.

However, what’s a little distance for the sake of good food? Besides, she had plenty of time before she needed to be on set.

Having eaten her fill, she still walked away with two shepherd’s purse buns in hand.

Nibbling on the buns, she headed to the central park for a stroll.

Because she was so full, and the buns were tasty.

Eating while walking meant she didn’t feel stuffed.

The Central Park was expansive, with orderly pebbled paths, lush lawns, rows of ornamental trees, and neatly-pruned flower beds; amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, it was a natural sanctuary.

Reaching the center, she noticed some children from a nearby school playing not far off, looking about five or six years old, cute as little turnip heads.

Xing Ling sat down on a bench and worked on her last bun.

Just as she was about to roll her eyes back from being over stuffed, a few kids approached, precisely four of them.

The boys looked identical, while the girls were different, but all were extremely cute and pretty.

In their big eyes, she saw surprise, timidity, hesitation, excitement.

Why those expressions? They didn’t want to eat her half-eaten bun, did they? Giving away something half-eaten wasn’t very nice, was it?

But... Xing Ling couldn’t shake the feeling that she’d seen these four children somewhere before.

"Have I met you before?" she asked.
