Chapter 319: I Just Feel a Bit Itchy
Chapter 319: Chapter 319: I Just Feel a Bit Itchy
"Did you inflict the wound on your wrist?" Ye Sihan was asking her on the surface but had already determined her actions. "You know I would be displeased, right?"
"Your displeasure... What does it have to do with me." Tang Yu turned over coldly, her back facing him.
Ye Sihan’s face twisted slightly as he stepped forward, grabbed her face and turned it toward him, "What are you hiding from? Look at me and talk!"
"Do whatever you want to me, I won’t resist." Tang Yu looked at him, resigned to her fate, "I’m not even afraid of death, so why should I fear your torment? After all, it’s not the first time you’ve tormented me."
Ye Sihan’s hand that was gripping hers was shaking, but in fact, the force he used on Tang Yu’s jaw wasn’t strong at all.
His dark pupils were sinister and bloodshot, like a devil about to lose control.
"Don’t think that just because you’re sick, I won’t do anything to you."
Tang Yu’s clear eyes looked at him, shimmering with a trembling light, and then she suddenly laughed in despair, "It’s okay, really, it’s okay. I wish you would do something to me, that way this pain here wouldn’t hurt so much..."
The place she was covering with her hand was her heart.
Ye Sihan’s facial muscles became taut and twitched, as he fiercely kissed her, gnawing—
"Mmm..." Tang Yu closed her eyes, allowing him to roughly ravage her lips.
No matter how piercing the pain was, whether her lips were split, bleeding, she didn’t resist, like a rag doll.
The next second she was forcefully pushed away.
Tang Yu slumped in bed, tears falling as she heard the sound of the hospital room door closing.
Her lips were swollen and nearly bleeding.
Painful? Not at all.
Otherwise, why would the heaviness in her chest feel so unbearable...
When the nurse brought food in the evening, Tang Yu did not refuse. Whatever she had to eat or drink, she took it.
After finishing the meal, she lay in bed with the needle inserted, an IV drip hanging.
Tang Yu lay quietly on the bed, gazing lifelessly at the window.
She seemed like a puppet that could be manipulated at any time.
The door to the hospital room was knocked, and Meng Jilin entered, "How are you feeling?"
Tang Yu turned to look at him, silent, expressionless.
"You have a bit of pneumonia, hang in there with the IV for a couple of days and you’ll be discharged, don’t worry. But, why do you want to hurt yourself?" Meng Jilin was worried about her. "If something happened to you, how would you go to find the child? The child is still waiting for you to find them!"
Tang Yu lifted her face, her eyes trembling with profound grief, "Do you really think the child is still alive? Why is there not a single clue?"
"The lack of clues is a good sign!" Meng Jilin comforted her. "Get well and leave finding the child to Ye Sihan."
It was okay until he mentioned Ye Sihan, but each time he did, Tang Yu’s face turned even paler.
She closed her eyes, limp as if her whole body had been hollowed out.
Ye Sihan wouldn’t care about her child, he could have children with any woman.
She was detested, and her own child would likewise not be valued.
That was evident from Ye Sihan’s attitude since the disappearance of the child.
He even had the mindset to look for various women...
"The children are so adorable, they must be fine." Meng Jilin said. "Stop hurting yourself."
No matter how many words of comfort and persuasion Meng Jilin said, they couldn’t evoke the slightest reaction from Tang Yu.
Her eyes never opened again.
When she did open her eyes, she was alone in the hospital room, and the needle on the back of her hand had been removed at some unknown time.
Tang Yu lifted the blanket, got out of bed, put on her coat, and left the hospital room.
The hospital ward was so quiet, even the sharp smell of antiseptics had a hint of coldness.
Walking in the corridor, Tang Yu felt like she was a dead person.
Once outside the hospital, standing under the cold night sky, she didn’t know where to go.
The icy air sucked into her lungs made her cough uncomfortably.
A coat draped over her shoulders, enveloping her slender body.
"Who let you out!" Ye Sihan had just entered the hospital and saw her standing by the door alone, then swept her up in his arms.
"Let me go, let me go..." Tang Yu cried desperately.
Her struggles were feeble in Ye Sihan’s embrace, where she felt so weak.
Ye Sihan’s face was stern as he carried her all the way back to her ward and pressed her onto the bed.
His entire body covered hers, casting a layer of dark shadows over Tang Yu.
"Let go? Your body hasn’t recovered yet, and without my permission, you’re not allowed to go anywhere!"
Tang Yu looked up at the dominant man above her, her sobs trembling, unable to speak, as the tears continued to flow.
Ye Sihan rose from her body, his face cold as he stared at her breaking down, "Do you still think I love you now? Huh?"
Tang Yu’s hands weakly clutched the bedsheet, her chest shaking non-stop from crying.
The feeling of injustice and pain was overwhelming.
If possible, she wished she had never spoken that word to Ye Sihan.
She had been too presumptuous...
The backlash was making her wish she were dead...
"I couldn’t be clearer, you will never love any woman, and from now on, don’t come to me again..."
Although Ye Sihan had received the satisfactory answer he wanted, the stabbing pain in his chest returned, making it hard for him to breathe.
As he backed away, he suddenly collided with a stool.
His dark eyes fixedly stared at Tang Yu, "That’s more like it."
It seemed like he was saying it for Tang Yu to hear, and also as if he was telling it to himself.
The irritation made his mind chaotic, and he left the ward.
For the past two days, Tang Yu stayed in the hospital obediently on IV drips, with the most frequent visitors being doctors and nurses.
Ye Sihan hadn’t appeared again, making her let her guard down a bit, and she became more peaceful.
Apart from lying in bed with the IV drip, she stood at the window gazing outwards, often for long stretches, standing until her legs went numb and she couldn’t move.
From initially being anxious to find her child to now being like a walking dead.
She didn’t even mention about finding the child anymore.
Only when she was in a daze, she would often grasp at the wound on her wrist.
The nurse who came in happened to see it and quickly went forward to stop her. Seeing the bloodstain on the bandage, she said anxiously, "Why did you scratch your wound again? If you keep this up, the wound will never heal."
She didn’t dare to scold Tang Yu, or else she’d be the one scared.
The nurse was all too aware of the importance of this patient in the hospital.
If something went wrong, even the hospital director would be in trouble, let alone a mere nurse.
Tang Yu sat on the bed, watching the nurse tend to her wound.
It had indeed split open again, a fuzzy mess of blood and flesh.
She innocently said, "I just felt a little itchy."
"Indeed, it does itch when scabbing happens, just bear with it," the nurse said.
Tang Yu remained silent, with no expression on her face.
She knew it wasn’t because of itchiness but rather an unconscious action.
Whenever she tore open the wound, she would feel much more relieved, much more.
"When can I be discharged?" Tang Yu asked.
Just as the nurse was about to speak, the door to the room was pushed open.
Without turning around, Tang Yu knew who had arrived just by the oppressive feeling in the ward.
