Quadruplets’ Charm: The Tycoon’s Hidden Heirs -
Chapter 314: Then Don’t Sleep
Chapter 314: Chapter 314: Then Don’t Sleep
"Is it that I’m desperate, or are you just not concerned? Ye Sihan, don’t you worry that something might happen to them?" Tang Yu was on the verge of insanity, grabbing his collar uncontrollably. "How can you be so calm!"
"Because being anxious is pointless. Besides, if something really did happen to them, I can still have more children with other women." Ye Sihan’s eyes were devoid of any compassion, "There are plenty of women who want to bear my children."
Struck by his words as if dealt a heavy blow, Tang Yu’s grip on his collar weakened, gradually letting go, and she started to step back, with only tears falling from her eyes as she looked at him.
Her trembling lips couldn’t form any words.
Ye Sihan watched her dark eyes turn slightly red, his chest suddenly tight, as if it was tearing open.
The hand resting on the arm of the sofa clenched into a fist, hard, trying to suppress that piercing pain.
Tang Yu never made a sound. She lowered her gaze and walked towards the door, step by step, and then left.
She was going to find her children.
Junjun, Zhengzheng, Haohao, Xibao, don’t be afraid, mommy will find you...
Descending the stairs, her legs gave out and Tang Yu almost fell, grabbing onto the railing with both hands in panic.
She steadied her heart, telling herself she must hold on, otherwise she would never see her children.
The children were still waiting for her to find them!
Having descended the stairs, Tang Yu ran towards the hall.
She had to leave this place...
Just as she reached the lobby, still some distance from the exit, two figures suddenly appeared and blocked her way.
They were Ye Sihan’s bodyguards, like two walls.
Tang Yu moved to the right, and the bodyguard blocked her path, infuriating her as she yelled, "Get out of the way! I need to leave!"
The bodyguard remained silent and did not move aside.
Tang Yu turned around and saw Ye Sihan who had followed her to the lobby. Her nerves tensed, and she looked at him defensively and firmly, "Let me go!"
Ye Sihan glanced at the bodyguards and they stepped aside.
Tang Yu thought this meant she was allowed to leave.
Looking at the exit ahead, she didn’t hesitate at all and started to run.
But as she moved, her wrist was tightly grasped and she was forcefully pulled over—
"Ugh!" Tang Yu collided with his solid body, so frustrated that she threw a slap, scraping Ye Sihan’s face.
Ye Sihan’s face didn’t move, except for a line of blood from a nail scrape on his jaw. The air fell into a dead silence.
Seeing this, Tang Yu was frightened but didn’t apologize, "I must find the children, what right do you have to stop me? Don’t touch me again!"
After speaking, she turned to leave.
A fierce look flashed in Ye Sihan’s dark eyes and he swiftly stepped forward, aiming a chop at the back of Tang Yu’s neck—
"Umm!" Tang Yu’s body stiffened, her vision darkened, and she collapsed softly.
She fell into Ye Sihan’s arms.
Ye Sihan held the delicate body in his arms with one hand, while with the other he touched her tender skin on the face, his black eyes lowered, his voice even and eerie, "I still prefer it when you’re obedient."
Even in her sleep, Tang Yu was restless, muttering to herself.
Before she woke, tears slipped from the corners of her eyes.
A finger slid across her tear-stained cheek, wiping away the tears.
Tang Yu suddenly woke up, "The children!" As she turned her face and saw Ye Sihan propped on one elbow looking at her, she hastily sat up, asking immediately, "Have the children been found? Have they? Tell me, have they been found?"
"No rush, we’ll search again tomorrow."
Tang Yu’s eyes immediately reddened, her breath quickened, her chest ached.
The children are missing and he’s not worried; what would it take to make him anxious?
Her eyes struggled to look at the room she was in—it was Ye Sihan’s room again.
And still sharing a bed with Ye Sihan.
What does this represent? Is it his intermittent benevolence?
Tang Yu extended her two hands, helplessly grasping his, tears trembling, her tone pleading, "You have the power and influence, can’t you send more people to search for the children? It hasn’t been long, they shouldn’t be able to leave Beijing Institute! You usually like them a lot, and they like you as their dad too. Even before they recognized you, they would ask me about their dad. They’re so small, I can’t even bear to think about what might happen to them... Ye Sihan, can we search the city for them now?"
She believed that with Ye Sihan’s overwhelming power and authority, turning Beijing Institute upside down to find the children wouldn’t be difficult.
Ye Sihan pulled her down, making her lie on his chest, "What you need to do now is sleep."
Upon hearing this, Tang Yu felt extreme hatred inside.
Struggling to get up from him, "I’ll go by myself!"
"Without my permission, you can’t leave."
Tang Yu, who was about to get off the bed, stopped there, looking at him in despair, asking, "Why don’t you care about the children’s safety? Even if you despise me, the children are innocent! You tell me to sleep, do you think I can sleep? The moment I close my eyes, I hear the children crying, asking me why I don’t go find them... Ye Sihan, please, let me go and look for the children?"
Ye Sihan sat up, stretched out his hand to pinch her chin, also touching her wet tears, which caused his heart to constrict violently, suddenly he withdrew his hand, and got out of bed, lifting the covers.
"Then don’t sleep!"
He left the room, and the sound of the door closing was heard.
Tang Yu followed, but found the door wouldn’t open.
"Ye Sihan, let me out! Ye Sihan!" Her delicate palms forcefully slapped the door, not stopping even though it caused pain.
Desperate and crying.
But no one responded to her.
Tang Yu collapsed powerlessly to the ground, hugging herself, sobbing uncontrollably, crying until her head felt like it was going to split, "Ye Sihan, my head hurts so much, so much... "
On the other side of the door, Ye Sihan’s dark silhouette stood there, unmoved for a long time.
It seemed he was enduring something, but he eventually left.
Tang Yu leaned against the door crying until she fainted. When she woke up, she just sat there, her eyes open until dawn.
That night was too difficult, enduring intense psychological pain.
Her red and swollen eyes were hollow and desperate. Only when she heard the sound of the door opening did she stiffly come back to her senses.
The moment the door opened, she propped herself up, desperately walking out.
"If you dare to stop me, I’ll go die," Tang Yu limped step by step out the door without giving Ye Sihan as much as a glance.
Ye Sihan stood at the doorway, his dark eyes fiercely watching that slender silhouette, his hand clenched into a fist beside him, veins bulging, terrifying yet full of restraint.
And just like that, he let Tang Yu go.
When she reached the entrance, Tang Yu asked the nearby Uncle Wen, "Will you take me? If not, I’ll walk down myself."
Uncle Wen said, "I’ll have the driver take you."
Tang Yu got into the car leaving Ye Mansion, with her mind full of concern for the children’s safety.
She had the driver take her to the gates of Beijing Institute, ready to search for clues along the route from the institute to her rental home.
Even driving took over half an hour, let alone walking and asking every household.
She held the quadruplets’ photo on her phone, showing it to everyone she met, asking if they had seen them.
Every store, every person, she asked all the way along.
She seemed tireless, her heart so eager to find the children.
"Excuse me, have you seen this child? Can you check the surveillance for me?"
The shop owners with surveillance had a look for her, but they didn’t spot the quadruplets.
It’s okay, if this one didn’t have any information, there must be another one that does.
That means there’s hope!
