Lu Chen had just reined in his mind when he heard Zhu Chongjiu’s voice.

"Master, I want to practice here as well!"

Lu Chen rolled his eyes but still got up reluctantly, making some room.

Ning Changzhong might not miss this one tea seat, but it was their pretext for visiting the Eighth Peak.

Although he was reluctant to leave the fire at the edge of the pit, Lu Chen still knew how to prioritize.

Zhu Chongjiu waved him away, none too pleasantly, thinking that Lu Chen was deliberately teasing him.

Lu Chen left the cave abode and gazed down the mountain.

Ninefold Peak and Zhaixing Peak were worlds apart.

He wondered if it was due to the Peak Masters and Elders, or if there was some inherent difference in the peaks themselves. After thinking it over, he turned his gaze to the other peaks.

With his Pupil Skill-enhanced vision, Lu Chen could easily see through the clouds to the intermittently visible peaks and even make out the people on them.

"Those must be the disciples of the Elders, right?"

Lu Chen muttered to himself, and almost on a whim wanting to see what they were doing, his heart stirred, and he surged Spiritual Power into his pupils, using the Hateful Heaven Pupil Technique!

In an instant, Lu Chen saw that atop these peaks, there were streaks of fiery red power!

This fire power, hidden within the clouds and winding through them, seemed unstable, but he could discern through the brilliant color that it contained extremely potent force.

If it were to erupt...

It could very likely obliterate an entire peak!

"Hasn’t Casting Gear Pavilion noticed?"

Lu Chen was puzzled. Generally, a sect’s location should be chosen for its abundant Spiritual Energy, which aids cultivation.

Underneath, though, a safer spot was also needed, and clearly, this fire power looked incredibly unstable, a massive hidden danger.

Lu Chen felt a vague unease, but had no solution. After some thought, he decided to wait until he returned from the Haotian Secret Realm!

By then, he would surely have gained something, and his position within the sect would have risen considerably.
