Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please!
Chapter 990 - 990 The Sweetness Before the End

Chapter 990: The Sweetness Before the End Chapter 990: The Sweetness Before the End When Arnold Johnson arrived at the cockpit, he was alone, as Bruce Bartley had requested.

As soon as Arnold boarded the plane, the aircraft began to take off. As for the destination, apart from Bruce, no one knew.

Victoria Garcia watched the plane leave the ground, as well as the people in the cockpit including Bruce and Arnold. She suddenly felt it was a terrifying journey.

Everything here, all of it, was arranged by Bruce. Victoria and Arnold were like chess pieces that had been placed accordingly. As for where they would ultimately go, only Bruce knew.

Upon entering the cockpit, Arnold saw Victoria standing to the side.

She was wearing a white, loose-fitting casual T-shirt, which now bore countless dots of crimson blood.

Arnold walked toward her and, looking at the bloodstains, asked, “Have you been injured?”

Shaking her head, Victoria looked at him and said, “No, I haven’t, but Edward Hernandez… he’s dead, killed by my own hands.”

At this point, despite knowing that Edward had wanted it that way, Victoria couldn’t help feeling distressed. Nothing could change the fact that she had killed him.

Arnold held her in his arms, comforting her softly, “It’s okay, I’m here now, don’t be afraid!”

“If we make it out alive, I want to fulfill Paul’s wish and help save his family,” Victoria allowed him to hold her, not resisting, her heart finding an exceptional tranquility in the scent specific to him.

“Alright, I promise you everything!” Arnold hadn’t held Victoria like this in a long time.

At that moment, Victoria suddenly felt the little one in her belly bubbling up again, sensing something.

Without thinking, Victoria took Arnold’s hand and placed it on her abdomen, saying, “He’s bubbling in my belly, can you feel it?”

Like a magical force pulling him, the little one inside seemed to react too. As Victoria took her father’s hand and placed it on her belly, the child bubbled up several more times before stopping.

Arnold opened his eyes wide in surprise as he watched her, as if a multitude of unspoken words converged, emitting a joy radiating from the depths of his heart.

“Yes, our child is still here, he always has been!” Victoria told Arnold.

Overwhelmed with happiness upon hearing such a certain answer, Arnold’s voice rippled with immense fondness, saying without a care for anyone else, “Madam Johnson, you are very mischievous!”

Enjoying a rare moment alone before the storm, Victoria also questioned Arnold with no concern for others, “Mr. Johnson, are you hiding something from me that you haven’t told me about?”

A face of guilty conscience, suggesting surrender was better than resistance.

Arnold, at first, didn’t react, somewhat confused, he said, “Madam Johnson, right now, there’s truly nothing I’m hiding from you. Give me a hint, let me think about it, will you?”

She knew he would say that.

“I’ve heard that someone else is pregnant with your child apart from me,” Victoria said somewhat sourly.

If the matter with Chloe Johnson were true, Victoria estimated she could turn against Arnold right on the spot.

When Arnold heard it was this issue Victoria was speaking of and saw her expression, he forgot for a moment the kind of circumstances they were in, sweetly responding to her, “Madam Johnson, that was nothing but a drama she staged herself; there is nothing between us.”

“Then how does she have your bed photos, so intimate, and also…” The thought of those photos made Victoria’s heart sour and angry.
