Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please! -
Chapter 963 - 963 Allen Tells Stories
Chapter 963: Allen Tells Stories Chapter 963: Allen Tells Stories Allen had pondered for several days, and he decided that he needed to have a serious talk with Victoria Garcia.
Some things might turn out better done than left undone.
Of course, it was also possible that it would only make things worse.
But without trying, how would one know which situation it would turn out to be?
After a month of recuperation, Victoria’s health improved significantly, her appetite returned, and her complexion was better than before.
That day, just before leaving work, Victoria received a call from Allen, and honestly, she was quite surprised.
“Uncle Allen, you wanted to see me?” Victoria held a respectful tone for Uncle Allen.
Allen’s voice remained kind as he said, “Miss Garcia, why don’t I drive you home tonight?”
“Uncle Allen, I’ve brought my own car,” Victoria replied gently, incapable of bearing any coldness towards Uncle Allen.
During the two years with Arnold Johnson, Uncle Allen had taken good care of her, treating her like his own daughter. Although this was due to Arnold Johnson, Victoria still treasured these feelings in her heart.
“Mr. Hernandez can drive your car back. Rest assured, I’ll take you to your apartment building, not Arnold’s villa. He won’t know that I came to pick you up,” Allen said kindly.
From his words, Victoria knew that Allen had something private to discuss with her.
Seeing that was the case, no matter what Allen wanted to say, Victoria felt it would be too heartless to refuse. If he was there to mediate with Arnold, she could simply listen and not agree.
Having made up her mind, Victoria replied, “Alright, just give me ten more minutes.”
“Sure, take your time. Finish up what you’re doing. I’ll wait for you in the underground car park by your office, in the same old car,” Allen said with a chuckle.
Victoria smiled as well and responded, “Okay.”
After hanging up the phone, she organized her work and left the office.
Victoria was dressed casually that day in a loose, long white T-shirt and black shorts, with a pair of flat, non-slip shoes, a break from her previous professional attire and a move toward a relaxed, casual style.
The company had no strict dress code, so she followed her personal preferences.
Now that she had stabilized her position at work, Victoria didn’t need to wear professional clothes every day to appear more mature.
While waiting for the elevator, Victoria called Edward Hernandez.
Before Victoria could say anything, Paul quickly chimed in, “Victoria, I’m about to leave work, and I’ll be at your company shortly. Wait for me.”
Victoria replied with a laugh, “Paul, I’m calling to tell you to just drive my car back alone today.”
“Why? If I’m not driving you, how will you get back?” Paul was puzzled.
Victoria said, “Today, Uncle Allen is picking me up. He has something to discuss with me. He’ll take me back, don’t worry.”
“Arnold’s driver is picking you up?” Edward Hernandez thought he might have misunderstood, so he asked for confirmation.
Victoria didn’t plan to hide it from him and simply replied, “Yes, that’s right.”
Seeing that she didn’t want to elaborate, Paul didn’t press further, but he advised, “Then you be careful, and if there’s anything, you must call me. I’ll be there whenever you need me.”
“Okay,” Victoria replied, and then she ended the call.
Soon after, Victoria arrived at the underground car park, and as soon as the elevator doors opened, she saw Uncle Allen standing there, waiting for her.
