Biting herself hard, Amelia tasted blood at the corner of her mouth and momentarily regained some clarity.

Wanting to take advantage of the moment to escape, she was caught in Chester’s embrace, and he laughed lewdly, “Ava, you must be drunk. Let Brother Chester help you upstairs to rest.”
