Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please! -
Chapter 850 - 850 Lets join tables together
Chapter 850: Let’s join tables together. Chapter 850: Let’s join tables together. After a weekend passed, Amelia Wilson’s health had improved a lot, and she also appeared to be in much better spirits.
Victoria Garcia knew that the wounds in her heart might not heal as quickly, but her sister’s positive attitude allowed her to feel at ease, knowing her sister wasn’t so easily defeated.
Because there was a lot to do at the company, Victoria went to work on Monday, and Amelia also proactively went to shoot advertisement endorsements. Everything seemed to be getting back on the regular track of life.
When the meeting ended, it was already time for lunch.
Amelia tidied up her work a bit before getting up.
“Emery, what do you feel like eating for lunch? How about I treat you to a big meal?” Victoria asked happily.
Candy Foster said somewhat dejectedly, “General Garcia, don’t tempt me, I’m on a diet.”
“Do you need to diet? You look just fine,” Victoria said, glancing at her figure.
Candy Foster remembered a certain man saying he liked fragile women like Lin Daiyu the most. She thought since she couldn’t emulate Lin Daiyu’s frail charm, she might as well imitate her slim figure instead.
“I feel like I’ve gained a little weight recently,” Candy said against her better judgment.
Victoria was puzzled and replied, “It looks to me like you’ve lost weight recently, and your complexion has worsened a lot. You’re losing collagen. Could it be that I’ve given you too much work lately?”
“Really? Does my complexion look bad? Is my collagen really being lost?” Candy Foster touched her face, asking nervously.
“Yes, so let’s go replenish your collagen!” Victoria said with a mysterious smile, “I know a place that makes incredibly delicious pig’s trotters, I’ll drive us there.”
“General Garcia, I really want to eat meat. I haven’t had a taste of meat for a whole week, I… I…” Candy Foster was torn between eating and not eating.
“Emery, someone who likes you won’t care about how thin you are, if he truly likes you, it’s for who you are now, understand?”
Suddenly blushing, Candy Foster said, “Is it… is it that obvious?”
Victoria just smiled.
“Okay then, let’s follow General Garcia’s lead, we’ll go for the pig’s trotters, I want a double portion!” Candy Foster already looked like she couldn’t restrain her murderous intent to devour.
Victoria said with a laugh, “That’s more like it, that’s the spirit of Candy Foster.”
The two chirped and laughed as they left the company and headed straight for the Underground Car Park to get the car and drive there.
In just fifteen minutes, Victoria parked the car in front of a small eatery called Nelson’s Pork Trotter Rice—a place she had stumbled upon by chance and was absolutely blown away by their pig’s trotters.
At the time, Arnold Johnson had even said he would learn the signature dish from this restaurant to cook for her.
But she had convinced Arnold not to do so, arguing that if they bought the restaurant’s specialty away, how would the owner make a living?
Thinking back on how Arnold looked so rich and bossy then made Victoria find the memory quite amusing.
Upon entering the restaurant, the rich aroma of pig’s trotters hit their nostrils, making their mouths water uncontrollably.
No sooner had they sat down and were about to order, a man walked in head-on.
Victoria looked up and locked eyes with him. Surprise appeared in both their eyes, and Edward Hernandez’s eyes also held a trace of excitement.
It was unexpected, to say the least, to run into someone in such a small, out-of-the-way eatery.
Quite a coincidence indeed.
However, recalling the braised pork rice restaurant Edward Hernandez had once taken her to, she felt it wasn’t that strange after all.
